I was hoping after the poor run last year, where we ended up 10 games unbeaten that people would remember and have some patience. Seems that lasted about one summer and first match. 

Fortunately I don't think the whine on here represents the majority of the fans at Villa Park. 

 

Exactly this!! Can't believe that people honestly felt we go to Spurs and dominate like we did to teams at the end if last season but in all honesty, I expected it!

Funny how the same VT'ers came out of the woodwork to have the moan when they had been pretty absent since May Bank Holiday!

Not worried....we'll be fine.

Win lose or draw tonight will have no bearing on our final league position.  We as fans have to keep our feet on the ground regardless of the result.

MoN was a one-trick pony but I find that logic a bit weird!

There was a buzz and excitement about the takeover and his appointment.  Attendances rose greatly to around the 39-40k in his first season....by his last season they had dropped off to the mid 30k as our home record wasn't very good due to his management style and the squad he built for £££ and failed to use.  That first season, we could have filled a 50k VP easily.

I believe that if the footy had been better under MON, we could have easily filled a 50k seater stadium.  Despite the fact we we finished 6th 3 seasons straight, our home record was pretty poor due to playing the same 11 players and the same counter attacking football week in week out!

Until he has 5 medicals, I don't believe he is coming!!

We have goals all over that midfield so the pressure on him is less especially if he assists in the midfield goals.

Bringing in lots of first team players at once, more than other clubs tend to do brings with it it's own challenges. I've mentioned it about 4 times. It's not a reflection of player A versus player B. My view is that it would have been better to keep some of last years Play Off winning squad to minimise the size of the rebuild for 6 or 12 months. Then phased some of the players in during the January window. 

 

Which part of WE HAVE HAD TO BRING IN 12 PLAYERS do you not understand?

I totally agree with you...if you have read my other posts, i don't expect us to finish top 6.

I'm gonna stick my head out and say that this squad is stronger than the squad we had when we were odds on to finish 4th until we fecked it up against Stoke. 

We have more than just a good 11 with a few back up players.  We have genuine competition for places and options for different combinations all over the squad!

P.S. Would love to get Leeds in the cup now and give them a right proper spanking!
