  1. Hutton was very limited but Taylor is still the inferior player, I don’t think they compare. Taylor is such a low level player and offers nothing beyond the most basic defensive duties (doesn’t even excel in that area though). Most attacks completely break down when the ball reaches him in a forward area. Plus, we were playing at a lower level and Hutton is older and a RB so we had to let him go. Luckily, we had Elmo to take over and offer a lot more.
  2. Wasn’t Hause playing LB in most of those games? I don’t rate Hutton but he was better and offered more than Taylor.
  3. Would rather keep him around, give him minutes here and there (as well as cup games) and allow him to train with and learn from our first team players. Try to sell or loan out Lansbury instead, no real place for him here and we need to continue to clear the squad of deadwood or cast offs, we’ve done well in that so far (we actually managed to get rid of Hogan!).
  4. His attacking qualities are obvious, but Ross will give us a bit more bite too...
  5. We’ve signed another RB!
  6. Barkley was who Smith was talking to Jack about after the Burton game then, along the lines of “he can’t wait to come & play with you”... Transfers take time... (don’t rule out Rashica!) Gonna be so exciting & entertaining to see them link up & we have actual quality around them too. We are looking a drastically better side already with the additions, and improvement & experience of existing players, and we now actually have options & flexibility within the squad... We may well be bringing another 1 or 2 players in yet, Dean will have a job on his hands to keep everyone happy but I think we will have a great season and that will help massively! Let’s go and upset the established order! We can make waves this season! UTV
  7. In the summer of 2018, Wes Edens and Nassef Sawiris bought a team facing the threat of administration: Aston Villa. The team had recently lost the English Championship Playoffs Final to Fulham. Then came Wes Edens and Nassef Sawiris. The took over the club, and now they have returned it to the Premier League. “The sky is the limit, with such a fanbase and such a great squad,” said Sawiris according to The Express Standard. “We’ve seen that with great management.” “Our ambition was not just to get promoted but to do well in the Premier League,” he added. “It just feels great to be able to do something for all these great fans behind us.” He explained: “I have to say I did envisage it.” “We had 12 games left when Jack (Grealish) came back – we had to win 10, we thought, to make it and made it easy because we won 10 in a row.” “And from then on we believed the whole time we would be standing right here,” he said. “To be here on this pitch with my partners and all these fans, it’s truly incredible.” “They bought this club last July when it was at its lowest ebb in its proud history,” said chief executive Christian Purslow. “They’ve been brilliant owners, they are hugely experienced in the sport.” “They asked me to come and join them – I’m so proud and honored to be here with them and to make all these incredible fans so proud. It’s the best day you could imagine,” he commented.
