Whoever takes over will likely face a rebuild in the next few year's.
Salah, VVD, Thiago, Becker, Robertson etc are all going to need replacing sooner or later.

With that squad it would take some doing to finish 8th in the next couple of years unless the heads go, if Chelsea and utd still aren't there yet it feels to me like a good time to give a younger guy a free hit for 2 years
Chelsea once finished 10th the year after finishing 1st.
Emery has taken us from potential relegation to a potential title challenge.
The manager choice is crucial and to me Alonso just feels like a risk right now.
I'd be happy for them to get it wrong though.

Gerrard is currently 2nd in the poll. Come on Liverpool, give the people what they want.

The BBC have an article up about who will ne the next Liverpool boss with a poll at the bottom.
I most definitely voted Gerrard.

I think it will be him though. He seems destined for the top. Plays clever football . Did Pep win anything before taking over Barca ? As someone else said they would give him 2 or 3 years to get up to speed . Connection to the club, will be respected by the players.
Pep at Barca is an anomaly and not very likely to happen again, he was also helped by having the best player in the world surrounded by world class players. Liverpool won't have this.

Or they get an older head in to go toe to toe with pep, still lose and face another rebuild in 3 years
They, same as everyone else, might just need to face the reality of what Peps city are
The league is so competitive at the moment that if they get it wrong and he turns out to not as good as people think he is (Gerrard was hyped at one point) or does need a few year's to decelop then the run the risk of slipping back down to 6-8th place finishes and not getting regular Champions League football.
Is Alonso just flavour of the month with extra hype based off his reputation as a player?
If they do get Alonso then yeah it might work out, but it still feels like a risk based off what he has achieved so far. It feels more like a move Spurs would try then Liverpool as they have less to lose if it goes wrong.
It could easily be another Potter at Chelsea type situation.

If it is Alonso then it seems a risk to me. He's doing well with Leverkusen but he doesn't have huge amounts of experience and hasn't won a trophy. I feel he needs a bit more time.

A former female employee has made allegations about him.
I won't post any details here as only allegations but a Google on him will bring up loads of articles.

Worf and the Defiant rocking up makes it loads more hardcore than the first few series. And there's so much of the universe in there - Cardassians, Ferengis, Bajorans, Dominion, Jem Hadar etc But it's one of the series MrsVM has no interest in or connection to. The doctors all over the place as a character, O'brien keeps getting the family written in and out, Klingons at war and then back in the fold, Jake is a weak character. Odo and the changelings just drags on and on. I kinda get why people don't love it.
Coincidentally I'm re-watching it again right now.
It is all over the place (randomly throwing a whole episode about a father and son flying a wooden spaceship across galaxies in the midst of a galactic war) but it is one of my favourite treks. I'd put it way above any recent stuff (maybe bot Lower Decks but thats a very different show), above Voyager and not far behind Next Gen.
Having not watched it in 20 odd years though, I'm surprised by how hot Kira is. Not as pretty as Dax but my teenage self clearly missed that somehow.

Been said before, but anyone sending a meeting invite between the hours of 12pm and 2pm really piss me off.
Hang on... in addition to all of holiday you seem to get a year, somehow you also get a 2 hour lunch break?

When people nowadays rank a list of things and use the tiering system A to F like you'd get in school, but for some reason (now idea why or where it started) they put an S in too for the top tier.

I think that I struggled with the increased focus on some of the other characters with Bosch taking a bit of a back seat.
SpoilerMaddie going into being a basic cop never felt like the right choice, especially after the issues Boach had with the force/politics at the end.
Legacy or not. Felt she was more destined to be a lawyer or maybe FBI or something.

Bosch Legacy Season 2 was great as always. Nice to see Lance Reddick get in one last "**** Bosch" as well.
Don't know why but I just couldn't get into Bosch Legacy. Love the original.

Remember - Beale was the brains of the duo. Once he left, Gerrard was completely lost.
Amazingly Beale isn't even the only former assistant coach of his currently working in the Championship.

Rewatching and introducing my son to Batman The Animated Series. Still absolutely brilliant.

when the colleagues i work with that are into football are in the office it's great to chat transfer rumours or show each other funny shit we've seen on twitter or updating each other on our FM24 saves. not to mention a good old gossip about colleagues that you don't want to do on a Teams chat for obvious reasons.
I thought being in the office increased productivity and stopped people wasting time.

Learned about him in my economics courses. Very interesting man and one of the main men behind classical liberalism.
Yeah, I learned about him at uni too. More I learnt more I admired his views and his bravery to champion them at that time.
He's admittedly not perfect but nobody is.

I was tempted to explain what they were doing but thought it'd be more fun this way.

Agree he'd be fairly well known to Villa fan's, but most fan's in this country wouldn't gave a clue, let alone those overseas.

If anything comes out about Dwayne 'the rock' Johnson it'd be interesting. He's one of the biggest stars in Hollywood and has built a 'nice guy' image. But he's been in and about WWE for 25 odd years and was not only part of the inner circle but kinda the face of the company. Some of his earlier promos were fairly edgy and not exactly PC for today's standards.
