seriously, you could easily pick 4-5 great players for low ish fee's.

I always raid River on fm15 as they usually have decent players quite cheaply, e.g. Balanta, Kranevitter, Martinez, Boys and Mammana.

If the clean sheet is worth 6 then conceding a goal is effectively -8 for the first goal conceded.

Letting in one goal has a decent points implication at -8 but letting in subsequent goals should be more detrimental. The 5 goal loss mentioned earlier in here only cost the defenders -16 points which doesn't really equate to a massive drubbing in real life.

  3. I think we'll get six points but still be miles off safety. A win against Newcastle as they might just be worse than us at the minute. A surprise win against Arsenal that we will not deserve (purely as I have Arsenal players in my fantasy football) and we will lose all the other games due to defensive errors.

Not tried one yet, but pretty sure they fixed that. It's even improving a bit too fast.. people reporting that the stats rose significantly in the first few months, even when unemployed.

I guess rising too quickly is better than not at all. I hated that the only way to be top notch was to be an ex international.

  5. Has anybody done a save starting at the bottom and seen any improvements in their own attributes? I found it frustrating in FM15 that certain attributes (discipline, motivating etc.) seemed to be impossible to increase no matter how succesful you later became.

  6. It's one thing a team captain telling the rest of the squad to buck up and work harder but it's a whole bigger issue doing it in the media.

Keep comments like that inside the dressing room, as what is said in there should stay in there.

Thats where the game gets a bit ridiculous and easy for me, a 22 year old kid scoring 41 premier league goals and worth 57m. You just have to throw him on the pitch and you'll most likely win.

I know. It took Ronaldo an extra two years to do that kind of levels of performance and value.

A few good games and a bit of money and it goes to his head. The classic example of young English players getting paid to much soon and begin acting like Chavs with a bit of cash. Ungrateful sod.  At least Hendrie gave us a few good season before going off the rails. This kid gives us a few games!

I think this is a major problem in the English game. I remember quotes a few years back from an ex Man City player (think it was Ireland but might be wrong) saying he would turn up to training and see 17 year old kids wearing £20,000 watches, driving round in super cars thinking they were the big I am when they hadn't even made a match day squad yet.

Yes fair comment mate about making his own arrangements but in my opinion a team should travel to and from games together as that contributes to a team mentality. I understand that it may come across as treating them like children but Jack obviously needs this kind of treatment as he cant be trusted to do otherwise. Same goes for any other player who totally disrespects the club in the same way. Obviously in certain circumstances the players shudnt have too do this but there cant be many reasons why the players should travel seperately. Jack has shown he cannot be trusted to do such thing after the weekends antics, i wonder what he told Villa he was doing not to travel back with the rest of the team? Because clearly he didnt tell them he was going for a piss up in manchester...

And i cant see them accepting any other reason ,(apart from something like family reasons or the like),why he wont be travelling by coach from now on as he must have lied to them this time round.

I agree about traveling together to build morale, it's the same when I play rugby.

If Jack did make his own way back, he might not have given any excuse and simply said "I'll sort myself out thanks" and they trusted him and left it at that. Also, how do people know he didn't travel with the team and then jump straight in a taxi to Manchester to meet his mates? Would be expensive and a lot of traveling time/money but he has cash to burn and I've known 19 year olds do crazier stuff for a night out.

Well from what i have been told, Jacks mates made their way from brum and Jack and another friend made their own way there. So im guessing straight from Liverpool

He has shown a complete lack of respect and discipline to the club, remi garde, fellow players and staff. Why villa let him make his own way back is another question to be answered.Next time they need to make sure that this is not allowed. Rules are rules. And its shown if these arent implemented some (or even just Jack) can not be trusted to adhere to them.

As an adult Jack should be allowed to make his own travel arrangements after a game if he asks too (assuming he is done for the day), to force him to ride on a coach with the team is to treat him like a child. However, an adult should show that same level of respect to his manager, teammates and club and not do something inappropriate. Sadly it appears that Jack lacked the sense and maturity to do so.

So you think a top player from a club like Brighton who look like are coming up would rather exchange that for a team bottom of the league in the verge of relegation?

I think your being ridiculous and unrealistic if you really believe that

    Money talks.

The only other striker i'd be willing to part with would be Firmino but i'd need more than Morrison for him.

Firmino is probably worth hanging on to, seems to be coming in to form. Got 38 points this weekend, and averages 16 points a week over the last three games. Liverpool have a decent run coming up too. Question marks as to how often Klopp will play him but I reckon he will get minutes going forwards.

I think Austin will wait until the summer and maximise the money he will get for doing so. Trippier looks the more likely of the two but would he want to come and would Spurs really want to help us out in any case?

It would be nice to hear us being connected with players who might keep us up in the press but the silence suggests the club are prepared to go again with what we already have although we are not.

I think a January move for Austin depends on if he wants to go to the Euros with England or not. If he stays in the Championship until July he will make more money on his next move but he will not get selected and will miss the tournament.

  14. I like the scoring system as it requires players to be fully involved in the game to rack up lots of points. An example being the Arsenal game this weekend, Giroud scored a goal but did very little in the game apart from that and only got 7 points. Whereas Alexis Sanchez didn't score or assist but worked his socks off to try and win the game and got 24 points. You have to think about the total performance and how much a player will try and get involved in the game.
