Thinking about Duran being able to do the subtle finishes ala Benteke. Maybe he does have that. His other two finishes this season were tidy, and he made them look easy.
See I find it baffling that you can't see his technical shortcomings in the build up phases. But there we go. I'll reiterate again that he does have certain strengths, no doubt about that.
I love it when players go mad when others score. Even Jonathan Kodjia, who could easily be viewed as quite a selfish player, used to celebrate like crazy whoever scored.
It always comes back to finishing...most of us who critique him have a bigger issue than just his finishing.
I also praise him when I think he's done well though (second half VS Newcastle I said he played well as he was making clever passes and looked sharp).
I don't pipe up when he's not scoring. He's not a fantastic all round team player. He's good at that in some ways with his tireless work and creating space etc. But a lot of our more intricate play breaks down because of his poor technique/slow decision making.
He's been decent and seems a good guy as well, seems to interact with everyone at the club including our youths.
But, Moreno is better for our overall attacking play.
