  1. I take it that you have seen Pellè play before then?

The thing with this Pelle is we've seen it before...Afonso Alves, Kezman, Babel, even Kuyt was only a success in England after being converted to a right midfielder.

He scored one Seria A goal so I think that's worth reflecting on.

Where was Suarez from again? ;)
  2. You're Canadian?

His school was unbelievably good. Cyle, Keven Aleman (was at Real Valladolid but just signed for Herediano in Costa Rica. Never played for the school team though), Alex Halis, Chris Nanco (both underage Canadian internationals and both at Syracuse now), and litte Osorio (in Uruguay at Nacional). Have to say Brampton is undoubtedly the best town in Canada at footballer.

I saw a soccer centre in Brampton so went down to check it out and show them how it's done.

    Unfortunately it was closed.

  3. If the signing goes through, I wonder how much of a draw Roy Keane would be in attracting a rock-like midfielder like this. And if this is the missing piece of a puzzle, you would wonder if appointing RK was partly midfielder-bait!?

I doubt either of it to be honest. The attraction is the Premier League and ££££.

  4. Based on what we've got right nown(assuming Sanchez goes through), is like us to be lining or like this once Benteke is back

    --------------------Guzan---------------------

    Hutton------Vlaar-----------Okore-----Cissokho

    --------------Westwood--Sanchez---------------

    --------------------Delph---------------------

    Bacuna---------------------------------Nzogbia

    -------------------Benteke--------------------

This but Grealish instead of Bacuna and El Ahmadi instead of Westwood.

  5. So is he the new Makoun and we're getting excited for nothing or is he the real deal?

For us hes a decent signing, i only saw him once last year against Real he didnt play in the other game and obviously the WC and i think hes exactly what we need.

I'm excited because it's a position we need and he sounds the right type of player but as I know nothing about him and have never seen him play i'm just wondering how good he actually is.

Sometimes you're only as good as the players around you.

I'd actually like to see him, KEA and Delph in the middle. We need players that can press and Westwood isn't that good at it in my opinion.

  6. Connor Wickham is available from Sunderland!!!

Straight swap offer for Weimann maybe? :)

Has been stealing a living for 4 years, has had about 4 good games in his career with 12 months left on his deal and now wants a big fat pay rise. I actually feel sorry for Sunderland.

The guy is a right cock.

    He kept them up.
    Deserves a pay rise.

    Not sure f serious.

I'm serious. If I turned up to work 1 month in 4 years but in that month I saved the company millions I'd expect a pay rise.

Well, if you're being serious, that's not right. Football contracts - like all contracts - are promises of reimbursement for work to be performed in the future. If all they want to do is say 'thank you', they can buy him a present.

But he could probably get paid more elsewhere.

  10. About time we signed another Columbian.

Didn't know he was a Columbia graduate. ;)
Ha. I thought it looked wrong but couldn't work out why. We need more academics in the the team! :)
  11. OK. You need to understand the reality in the Israeli cities and towns in the south, close to the Gaza strip...

In total, I guess that around 400,000 citizens (mind you the entire population of Israel is 8 Million) is under threat or rockets.

So - yes, no deaths, thanks to the Israelis who keep their heads down, but this is not a way to live a life.

It's you who needs to understand the reality.

You are the occupying army. You live on stolen land, denying basic human rights to the people whose land and property you have stolen, whose livelihoods you destroy, whose children you routinely murder.

Please don't come this victim shite. It doesn't wash. You're not the victim, you're the jackbooted oppressors.

So what are Israel meant to do? Give back the entire area and all move to America? There will never be a solution to this as long as the intentions of Hamas are to wipe out Israel.
Are you aware that Israel keeps encroaching on Palestine, year by year, month by month, day by day? By force? By theft and murder? You speak as though there were two settled states, and one seeks the destruction of the other - but you seem to misunderstand which is effecting the destruction of the other.

I find it laughable that supporters of Israel fasten on to a couple of paras in a document to argue that Hamas seeks the destruction of Israel, when lived reality every day demonstrates that Israel is achieving the destruction of Palestine, and the genocide of the Palestinian people.

I'm not a supporter of Israel. I can only go by what I see and read. You seem to know quite a lot. Have you lived in Israel or Palestine and experienced what is happening first hand?

What do you feel is the solution?

  13. You can't base a decision on a players ability after a few games but when they look as assured and solid as Okore did against both Chelsea and Liverpool you understandably have high hopes for the player.

Nobody knows whether he will continue from where he left off but sometimes it doesn't take a season to see that a player has got something about him.

  14. This guy has gone from apparently being the worst RB to ever play at Villa and a player that will never play for Villa again to a potential starter for the first game of the season 2 years later.

So in 2 seasons we couldn't find anybody better and we couldn't even get rid of him.

What the hell goes on at this club?

  15. Last year in key games, his touch let us down and cost us points, Hull away, and WHU at home, at 0-0 in both games, 2 good chances , 2 awful touches, should have won both games, lost both.In the last 3 seasons he hasn't improved, in fact he has deteriorated. His touch , for a professional player, is disgraceful, his movement is non-existant, his awareness poor.

Overall he is/has never been a £50k per week footballer, time to move him on imho, i would rather play Robinson or Grealish

We drew the Hull game 0-0.

  16. Never seen it before but im gonna start The Wire Season 1 now. I've been told the first season, while still very good, is a bit slow, takes a while to get going and isn't held in quite the same high regard as some of the later seasons. Will I be disappointed? Soldier through the slow stuff?

Wire is some of the best tv you will ever see.
