Gabby hasn't been the same since that Liverpool injury when he terrorised them before that. Something isn't right with the guy and he needs to be dropped until he sorts himself out.
-
Mate. We've all told him. Me, dad, mom, friends even football coaches but I dont know he just seems to want to pass it. When he was younger he never used to. But ever since it got serious he just plays it instead of taking the glory himself. I just hope he realises soon that he will get more recognition by trying this shots rather than giving it someone else.
Kevan, just tell him to shoot on sight son. He doesn't need to do all the hard work work and then lay it off to someone else who'll mess it up. Just tell him to do what he did then smash it into into the net ala Messi. The lad's got the talent to do it, he just needs to trust in himself.Buzzing after that. Oozed class when he came on especially given how boring the game was before...Looks so calm and composed.
And in response to viva la villa its because PL wants to keep him grounded and not be another delfouneso... IMO.
Fair enough but players like Delfouneso don't flop because they are thrown in to early. It's because they are not good enough. Gabby was thrown in at 17 when we really needed him. Didn't do him any harm.
Has to play in my opinion.

He was easily the standout player today. If he is that good why wouldn't he start next week?
He's played a full season is a very physical league, but the PL is a whole new level. I'm not sure if he'll start at Stoke, but I'd be hugely disappointed if he didn't play some part in the match.
I would hope he gets the sort of opportunity that Januzaj got at Man U, which was 27 league appearances last season.
I've only seen snippets and he looks good. If we had a good team then I'd understand not throwing him in but considering how much creativity we lack it sounds like we really need him.
No pressure on the lad though.

Ah... got you, sorry I mistook your post. I'm honestly not sure but I will have a look later and find out mate.
Sorry. Maybe I should have removed Richards quoted post. I was genuinely interested how much he actually played in terms of minutes. If it's based on appearances then you could say even Sylla played a lot of games last season.
Not sure how that is relevant to Richard's post, he didn't say he would be amazed if he played 90 minutes 10 times.
How many of those were 90 minutes?
Why? He played 20 games last season.Be utterly amazed if he plays 10 games for us next season
No worries. I can see how it looked related.
Just had a quick look and it was 790 minutes last season and 619 the season before. Not sure how much of that was down to injuries or just not being selected. It's not much playing time but enough to add a vital contribution in certain games when every point is so important.
I'm not expecting much from him to be honest but at least he adds experience and depth to the squad.

Too late I have made him one. He loved it . He had a great day until he had an epileptic fit at Witton Station. It was the excitement of being in a Premier League ground. I was told by my friends son he would most likely have one today as he was so excited about going .
Please don't let him become a Villa fan, you don't want to ruin the poor guy's life [emoji14]I am taking my mates husband who is originally from the Gambia. He is football mad & has never seen a football match live before. He is so looking forward to going to see us . Should be interesting for him .
Bloody hell is he alright?

I have no idea what the people in my new office are like because we sit in silence all day. Never experienced anything like it in my life. I feel like I'm back at school.

@AVFCOfficial: #AVFC: Guzan, Hutton, Baker, Senderos, Stevens, Westwood, Delph, Richardson, N'Zogbia, Agbonlahor, Weimann. #AVFCLIVE
That team would struggle in the championship I reckon.

Their squad sounds very glamorous.

Could you explain the cruelty of Halal meat?Good post Mj. It's the uproar about the cruelty of Halal meat that makes me life. Have these people not seen what happens in slaughter houses?!
I would be nice to catch your own animal and kill it in a humane way to then cook and prep on an open fire.
Something that is practised by some Sikhs I might add.
I don't know what the cruelty is but there are animal rights groups that say it's Inhumane. The religion I was born in to is apparently vegetarian yet it is forbidden to eat Halal meat. So why would a certain type of meat be forbidden if no meat is allowed?
Never got that but I guess that's a different topic.

I would love Lennon. I can't see how he would fit into our system though,
Which system is this?
-
I think our best bet is to set up for every game not to lose. It's ugly and we all hate if but it really is our best chance of staying up. The alternative is attack and lose by 3, 4 like we have seen so often. Lambert knows he has lost the fans so won't really care what the supporters think. His job is to keep us up.
Every point counts.
Squad is looking alright at the moment. What worries me is how it's used
Are you serious?

I'd just move. **** living and bring up a family in an unpredictable war zone.
Well, even if I'll ignore patriotism and so, being a Jew in Israel is not easy, but as I see things - being a Jew outside Israel is even worse. Look at the recent demonstrations in Europe, listen to when Arduan is saying. Even yesterday, Jewish kids in Sydney (!!!!) were abused. Look at history - we are not being treated all too well outside.
Here I at least have the ability to defend myself and try to control my own destiny. I am not dependent on some leader who think of "the republic" or "the voters". If you wish, I can get all sentimental and remind you of how the allies chose not to bombard Auschwitz during WWII to at least hamper some of the Nazis deeds over there.
Israel is here for a reason, you know
There's always America.

I would have been happy with this signing a few years back when we were half decent so definitely can't complain it's happened now.
I don't think he realises what he has got himself in for. The jinx position at Aston Villa!
-
Cissokho should be confirmed later this evening & he's signing a long-term deal - which can be viewed as a statement from Lerner. #avfc
Hopefully he is more informed on this than he was earlier.
I'm confused by the statement bit.
-
I think you're right to some extent but only when the CEO is working towards some sort of plan and the whole club is on the same page. That isn't the case with us. We have an owner who wants out and a manager with 12 months left on his contract. A good CEO is going to make little difference for a club like ours in its current situation.
And I can't agree that a CEO is the difference between relegation and surviving.
A good CEO will never take the job!

Assuming we sign the two linked today. Good team?
It looks like a team with a very good chance of staying up. The problem as always is one or two injuries to key players and we fall apart.
-
Definitely would be a good signing for us. Ok wasn't great at Liverpool but this was a team going for the title and he was part of a defence that didn't get much protection at all. Would be happy if we sign him.
-
spurs in my view are guaranteed 6th position.
At least. Not expecting to finish top 4 might help them. They could have done without Europa though.
-
This is believable and a little more encouraging. No guarantee he will be any good but at least we are trying to sign an International if the rumour is true.

Then again I have heard Robbie Savage is looking for a new career in business management.
