Based on what we've got right nown(assuming Sanchez goes through), is like us to be lining or like this once Benteke is back
--------------------Guzan---------------------
Hutton------Vlaar-----------Okore-----Cissokho
--------------Westwood--Sanchez---------------
--------------------Delph---------------------
Bacuna---------------------------------Nzogbia
-------------------Benteke--------------------
This but Grealish instead of Bacuna and El Ahmadi instead of Westwood.

I'm excited because it's a position we need and he sounds the right type of player but as I know nothing about him and have never seen him play i'm just wondering how good he actually is.So is he the new Makoun and we're getting excited for nothing or is he the real deal?
For us hes a decent signing, i only saw him once last year against Real he didnt play in the other game and obviously the WC and i think hes exactly what we need.
Sometimes you're only as good as the players around you.
I'd actually like to see him, KEA and Delph in the middle. We need players that can press and Westwood isn't that good at it in my opinion.

I'm serious. If I turned up to work 1 month in 4 years but in that month I saved the company millions I'd expect a pay rise.
Deserves a pay rise.
He kept them up.
Has been stealing a living for 4 years, has had about 4 good games in his career with 12 months left on his deal and now wants a big fat pay rise. I actually feel sorry for Sunderland.Connor Wickham is available from Sunderland!!!
Straight swap offer for Weimann maybe?
The guy is a right cock.
Not sure f serious.
Well, if you're being serious, that's not right. Football contracts - like all contracts - are promises of reimbursement for work to be performed in the future. If all they want to do is say 'thank you', they can buy him a present.
But he could probably get paid more elsewhere.
-
Now we got concrete at the back and a rock in the middle surely we will be more solid!

Ha. I thought it looked wrong but couldn't work out why. We need more academics in the the team!
Didn't know he was a Columbia graduate.About time we signed another Columbian.

Oh him! Yeah I seen this player last season in La Liga. He quite the no nonsense midfield.
I kept imagining a fair bald bloke for some reason.

When you get to over 50 your memory goes Vive.........but you got my point
Of course. Don't blame you for thinking we lost considering the season we had.

Are you aware that Israel keeps encroaching on Palestine, year by year, month by month, day by day? By force? By theft and murder? You speak as though there were two settled states, and one seeks the destruction of the other - but you seem to misunderstand which is effecting the destruction of the other.
So what are Israel meant to do? Give back the entire area and all move to America? There will never be a solution to this as long as the intentions of Hamas are to wipe out Israel.
It's you who needs to understand the reality.OK. You need to understand the reality in the Israeli cities and towns in the south, close to the Gaza strip...
In total, I guess that around 400,000 citizens (mind you the entire population of Israel is 8 Million) is under threat or rockets.
So - yes, no deaths, thanks to the Israelis who keep their heads down, but this is not a way to live a life.
You are the occupying army. You live on stolen land, denying basic human rights to the people whose land and property you have stolen, whose livelihoods you destroy, whose children you routinely murder.
Please don't come this victim shite. It doesn't wash. You're not the victim, you're the jackbooted oppressors.
I find it laughable that supporters of Israel fasten on to a couple of paras in a document to argue that Hamas seeks the destruction of Israel, when lived reality every day demonstrates that Israel is achieving the destruction of Palestine, and the genocide of the Palestinian people.
I'm not a supporter of Israel. I can only go by what I see and read. You seem to know quite a lot. Have you lived in Israel or Palestine and experienced what is happening first hand?
What do you feel is the solution?

You can't base a decision on a players ability after a few games but when they look as assured and solid as Okore did against both Chelsea and Liverpool you understandably have high hopes for the player.
Nobody knows whether he will continue from where he left off but sometimes it doesn't take a season to see that a player has got something about him.
-
This guy has gone from apparently being the worst RB to ever play at Villa and a player that will never play for Villa again to a potential starter for the first game of the season 2 years later.
So in 2 seasons we couldn't find anybody better and we couldn't even get rid of him.
What the hell goes on at this club?
-
Last year in key games, his touch let us down and cost us points, Hull away, and WHU at home, at 0-0 in both games, 2 good chances , 2 awful touches, should have won both games, lost both.In the last 3 seasons he hasn't improved, in fact he has deteriorated. His touch , for a professional player, is disgraceful, his movement is non-existant, his awareness poor.
Overall he is/has never been a £50k per week footballer, time to move him on imho, i would rather play Robinson or Grealish
We drew the Hull game 0-0.

Never seen it before but im gonna start The Wire Season 1 now. I've been told the first season, while still very good, is a bit slow, takes a while to get going and isn't held in quite the same high regard as some of the later seasons. Will I be disappointed? Soldier through the slow stuff?
Wire is some of the best tv you will ever see.

Sorry to hear about your friend mate. It's a bit of a cliche to say the good ones go first but in a lot of cases it really is true.
It's always good to remember and celebrate the good times.

Fair enough and I agree that Lambert could done even worse but staying up is the minimum requirement for me. The circumstances have been challenging without doubt but not in my opinion not so much that I'd consider him keeping us up some sort of achievement.
I say the achievement part because I remember looking at the team that was fielded against West Ham and thinking that is probably the worst Vila team I'd ever seen. But then I also remember that Xmas period and the Bradford debacle. We will never know if keeping us up was an achievement but at least we are still here for now.

Come on, that's a weak argument and you know it. If he had done his job better we wouldn't have been so deep in the mire that we would've needed one player to drag us to safety. Why doesn't he? That squad he took over was a pile of shit and he has had peanuts to spend. Yet we survive. So how did we manage that? Bentake, that's how. Who signed him?
Also, is that "shit" squad the same one we all lambasted McLeish for underacheiving with? The same one that contained players that everyone is saying makes our team better again now that his absurd 'bomb-squad' policy has been abandoned?
Anyway, I have these arguments numerous times now and they always end in a complete stalemate. I'm sure you'll find my response to the points you're about to follow this post up with in the Lambert thread.
I actually think Mcleish did a good job too. I personally think it's MONs 'squad' and the selling of key players that led us to this downfall. The same investment had to be put back in, in relation to the massively key players that were sold. That includes wages too.
But it wasn't. Don't get me wrong, I'm no fan of Lambert but I'm grateful we are still in this league. I've seen better squads relegated in that time.

I genuinely believe that if he hadn't been on the end of a possibly career ending injury, we would be worrying about keeping him this summer.
But he has, so we're not.
Seriously why even say this unless you're looking for an argument?
He looked awesome in his first few games and if he played that way all season there would have been a hell of a lot of interest. I've no doubt there still are a lot of eyes on him.

Spurs have got waaaaay to many players. I'd take any of them on loan.
