  1. James Milner turns coal into diamonds with his bare hands.
  2. It's marginally better... but the site needs a complete overhaul, not just a tweak of what was already there. The home page is cluttered and difficult to read, just like the previous one imho, simply due to it's layout. Putting as much as possible on the front page is a bit old fashioned imho.
  3. Originally from Yoxall (where?! lol) and now live in Branston, just outside Burton Upon Trent. Unfortunately So Staffordshire, but on the cusp of the West/East Mids.
  4. Leave them as it is. Martin O'Neill is in charge, the custodian of the football club, and he doesn't want them. And I have to say I agree with him 100%.
  5. Many thanks for taking time to reply General. I wish you a speedy recovery to full health and hope to see you at the Villa soon!
  6. Seconded. Oh and I work in a brewery and I'm qualified to say the beer was below par. But then Carlsberg is a pretty poor choice imho. Carling is much better.
  7. Typo, surely? Nope. Some rancid farts were aired by someone! Either that or L2 has a blocked drain lol
  8. Monday night 8pm KO and on the box? Not really. I thought we were excellent in the first half. We NEED to start making this first half dominanace count though. I thought the Holte was great, wish it was like that every game. But I also wish the person that was shitting all the way through match in L2 is not a ST holder! lol 8)
  9. Hi General, serious one this time Whilst at the last home game I approached the turnstiles to enter the Lower Holte (L2) with a couple of items of rubbish and was dismayed to find there were no litter bins in sight. I asked a steward nearby and he simply said there wern't any and that I should just put them on the floor. When I came out of the ground I noticed that quite a pile had formed where I had deposited my empty bottles. Any chance of a couple of litter bins by the turnstiles? Hope this message finds you in good health.
  10. General. Whilst you're passing on tactical tips to MON and JR et al, could you also pass on my views? I feel that former professional footballers who played at the very highest level (double European Cup Winners, first division champions etc) who have amassed years of experience managing football clubs (and winning trophies), who see the players training every day, who watch in depth analysis about the opposition before every game are far better placed to deceide which tactics the team should play than a bunch of faceless people on an internet forum with no footballing pedigree whatsoever. Oh and that there are lies, damn lies and statistics. Thanks. ;-)
  11. Hi General, Just wanted to ask you to extend our thanks to Randy for putting faith in our (fantastic) manager by backing him in the transfer market once again. We're becoming more and more competitive year on year and that's thanks in no small part to Randy for his investment. And I'd also like you to pass on our thanks for the continued work on our beloved ground. Villa Park is a special place and I was, if I'm honest, somewhat sceptical of the sort of improvements Randy may make to our beautiful stadium. He (and his team no doubt) are doing an excellent job of updating the facilities and the overall feel of the place without jeopardising the traditional ethos the ground has. It is no coincidence that every new signing in The Lerner Era has praised the ground and the training facilities. Here's to a great season. And with refernce to the other big spenders - In the words of James Marshall Hendrix - "And so castles made of sand... fall in the sea... eventually" Semper Fidelis UTV
  12. lol. MON has taken us backwards. And lol again.
  13. Can't argue with that. I think this seasons kit is the best we've had from Nike imho.
  14. that's kinda flawed logic , i don't recall Hitlers sister invading Poland And that's kind of a flawed analogy. I'll admit if you take that comment out of the context of the original post then it does seem a little bold. It was more to point out what kind of upbringing he had. People from stable backgrounds don't have brothers that stick ice picks in peoples heads, but there's always exceptions to every rule. Although Hitler was supposedly beaten by his father as a child lol Just saying that his problems are deep rooted, an not something any manager are likely to just take out of him.
  15. How many chances to prove he's a complete f**king idiot does a man need? I'd be f**king fuming if he came anywhere near our club tbh. He's not a bad player... but he's not that good. The fact his Brother (albeit half) is locked up for being involved in a racist murder whereby the victim had a rather large Ice Pick embedded into his skull upto the hilt says alot about his families upbringing and mentality. It's the old 'Nature Versus Nurture' debate... His upbringing wasn't too shabby (brought up separate from his half brother iirc) however, he keeps friends from his past too close (just like Jeffers and look at him) and he is just one of those people who's brain works slightly different to most. For his own sake, he needs to be kicked out of football for a year or so and get some serious help. Getting paid 30k a week while being a c-unit all the time teaches him nothing. Infact, the government should section him for a while and give him a full mental evaluation as the guy is obviously more of a sociopath than anything else!
  16. Your wrong, it was the 1st World War You're correct. He lost his arms in the second world war.
  17. James Milner lost both his legs to an anti-personnel mine in the second world war. He had two right legs sown back on, hence his ability to use both feet equally well.
  18. I cringed at that too. Has to be changed to 'played for the shite'
  19. Born in Staffordshire - Fathers family from Marston Green (which was Warwickshire rather than Brum in those days according to my 90 year old gran who still lives there!). Mothers family from Nechells, some still live there but she moved out to Lichfield aged 17. Grandad was a Villa fan, as was my Uncle. My old man was a Rugby man so was never too fussed about football. Luckily for me my Uncles chose my team for me, although VP was the closest league club I now live about 25 miles away from Brum.
