  1. I must say, the Leicester Board should be arrested for robbery for getting 75mil for Maguire. Absolutely mugged Man United with that price. Hope for his sake the lad can defend himself better when he drops the soap in Greece...

Bumping this thread this close to the transfer window deadline is criminal

I needed to amuse myself after changing my FPL captain from James to Ings at the last moment.

Why are these twitter plebs bouncing about on this Rashica nonsense. It goes from Rashica is holding out for Leipzig to he’s agreed terms with Villa, to Bremen is holding up the negotiations, to Rashica is holding up the negotiations, to it being off, to being back on, now back to Rashica holding out for Leipzig

It’s Rocket science to work this shit out

All signs point towards us signing Arlind Sadiku to our Academy.

Dean Smith press conf whe asked about transfers seemed like "we are basically done" to my ear. Second question in the conf.

Or, he's deliberately said that to make it clear that we don't have a lot of money left (likely true anyways) so that other teams (i.e., Werder) don't try and mug us off on transfer fees on deadline day.

Troare needs time though mate, and Trez works his bollox off. Don't think it's as straightforward as that.

You surely can't be insinuating Deano would spend 17 mill on Traore only to have him as backup if he thought he was ready?

If we found out that 17mil was spent on a backup winger instead of Rashica, this place would go into full meltdown.

Keeping someone around because they’re popular in the dressing room is not the way to go. Mark Bunn was popular, and he was also shite. Looks like we’re stuck with him though thanks to the ridiculous contracts handed out by the previous charlatans.

Lansbury’s passing is decent, but his acceleration, pace, dribbling, tackling, pressing, shooting and heading are far from alright. What the hell was that header last night? Did he not want to mess up his new hair cut?

I'm not advocating paying mates 500k a week, but have you ever played on a team full of randoms vs on a team full of your mates?

The fact Liverpool are managing to sell yet another youth player who hasn't got so much as a sniff of their first team for over £20m again is astounding. How do they keep getting away with it?

Absolutely reeks of being another Solanke

    How's about this:

The £23.5m deal includes a buy-back option for three years and the Reds will get 15% of any sell-on fee.

So, if they decide to invoke the buy-back clause, does that mean they are essentially only paying 85% of the fee? 🧐

I am just encouraged by so many players a similar age.....I think it helps enormously.

I think this is an overlooked fact...for example, despite finishing near the bottom of the table in the 2012-13 season, I had a lot of fun watching and it seemed like most of the players had a lot of fun on the pitch together. Most of the squad were within a few years of each other and it really seemed like they enjoyed playing with each other and got along well. I think that will be an extra boost this season.

  9. Does anyone else wonder if this signing wouldn't have happened if Jack hadn't eventually gotten called up to the England squad? Not necessarily because it made Jack an England international, but gave Jack a chance to boost up the club in person.

I've always wanted to have Barkley in FPL have had some times but he keeps getting dropped at Chelsea. There's very good reason for wanting him in fantasy and that's regular goals and assists. Loved the goal he scored in cup game the other day. Barely any backlift on the shot and absolutely rippled the net

    And currently priced 5.9 😍

Real talk - to swap him out of my fantasy team, or keep him in?

What do we think, VT hive-mind?

I've left him out for now...he will probably (and hopefully) grab a few over the next matches, but our run of fixtures from after the November international break until Christmas is where I think he'll catch fire.

I've been holding on to Werner in my Fantasy Premier League team as Captain for 3 weeks now, I'm not encouraged by anything on display at all ffs.

You can guarantee as soon as I take him out, Chelsea will morph into prime Barcelona.

Yep...Werner out, Calvert-Lewin in, and we already know who gets the hat-trick next week...

I said before we shouldnt sign cast offs from the top teams, before somebody says McGrath it was a different time and era.

A lot of these players have no hunger or desire when dropping down the table. Everton and West Ham prime examples

The way I read it (which involves a bit of guesswork on my part) is that WB are the blockers due to fee/payment structure (as discussed) and Milot is happy to come here. WB probably either want us to cough up a bit extra or want Milot to put in a transfer request, so that they get to keep more of the transfer fee. Milot originally had his heart set on (and expected to join) a Champions League club, so is unlikely to force a move to us and is happy to hold off until the last possible minute, so that he doesn't lose his share of the fee for not requesting a transfer. Also, if another Leipzig-style club comes in, he then has the luxury of options. I think everyone knows that WB will cave at some point due to their financial situation, but it's a waiting game until then. I can understand Milot not handing in a transfer request (like it seems a lot of people want him to do so that he can come here quicker) but I'd probably do the same as him in that situation and pocket a fair chunk of money in the process. I do, however, believe he's been convinced that Villa will be a great club for him, with our ambition to get to where the likes of Leipzig are and with his old friend Nakamba being here. That's how I see it anyway, though it could all be pollocks...

This has always been the key for me. If he's that good mates with Nakamba, I'm sure Milot would have been warned that it wouldn't be a Marvelous (image.png.9519ea081610fd1721c5285d97ae3c06.png) idea to troll our fans with those Instagram posts if he had no intention of coming here...
