  1. No, he was a standout at Arsenal under Emery. Signed at 18 and impressed so well during preseason that he started in midfield for them. Had an epic fall out with Arteta after an altercation with Neil Maupay and was bombed/loaned out of the team for "attitude reasons".
  2. I don't see us shelling out 40 million for him to displace Dougie in the center of the pitch... You'd think that would be one of the last positions to upgrade after his performances under Emery so far... No, I think he's going to take the McGinn/JJ spot out wide in defense, and pushing central in possession.
  3. I honestly can see him playing in place of JJ out wide. He's played as more of an attacking midfielder for Marseilles this season. Martinez Young - Konsa - Mings - Moreno Guendouzi - Kamara - Luiz - Buendia New/Bailey - Watkins/New
  4. Best left back debut since Tony Moon! You could see just how much more dangerous we looked on the counter with his pace bombing forward along the left wing. Looks to be a great signing!
  5. Amazing player... We now have 2 world class players in the team... Martinez and Kamara.
  6. Get fooked, Leeds... Scumbag team, scumbag fans, scumbag club... 3 points yet again... Moving on up the table like the God damn Jeffersons
  7. You just knew Bumford was going to score when he came on... FFS
  8. He goes back and forth between being prime Ashley Young and bottom tier N'Zogbia with every touch of the ball.
  9. 2nd goal has taken all the wind out of Leeds' sails...
  10. Unlucky Moreno... That right there is why he's been signed... That pace gets us going on the counter.
  11. He's been great this 2nd half... Defensively superb and linking well with Moreno at times on the left.
  12. Need to reshuffle out tactics because of the injuries to Digne & Watkins have forced changes. Leeds play a very high press and you can typically counter that sort of play with speedy outlets for a counterattack, but with Watkins off the pitch, Ings doesn't stretch the pitch enough to help relieve pressure. Need to shuffle our shape around again at halftime and I trust Emery to do so. We dominated play until Watkins came off, then they've gotten the better of us since.
  13. They're literally throwing 8 bodies at us up front because we have no pace to hit them on the counter with Ings on and Bailey back in our own third defending.
  14. Fooking hate Michael Oliver's style of reffing... He needs to get control of this game or there will be red cards flying soon...
  15. What was that offside restart? No where near where the lineo was when he was flagging and the ball never really stopped dead before taking the free kick?
  16. He's a vampire, don't you know? Just needs another pint of blood at halftime...
  17. Does this mean Bailey isn't a waste of space and 30 million pounds now?
  18. That's the sad state of the Premier League now. The only teams who can afford our deadweight are the other Prem clubs and maybe a dozen others across Europe. If they aren't good enough for us, who is going to give them a salary bump to come to them? Unless someone plays well for us, we won't get what we paid for them back and will have to eat the cost.
  19. Agreed. Negotiating terms for players isn't like ordering something from Amazon and they show up on your doorstep a few days later... We've been keeping tabs on targets and talking to agents since Emery arrived, I'm betting. Moreno was probably the easiest to get over the line due to his age and others we've been pursuing (like possibly Joao Felix and Marcus Thuram) might be on their way to other teams instead.
  20. I think part of the frustration with regards to transfer fees paid out is that while we have top 4 owners in terms of their net worth, we aren't exactly throwing around money like it lately. We spent a lot of money our first season back in the Prem (needed to because we had a tiny squad after promotion), but since then we're basically mid-table with our spending since. During our first 2 seasons back in the Prem (19/20-20/21) we were 4th in the league in terms of total transfer spend and number 1 in terms of total net spend. The past two seasons show quite differently... We've been 9th in total fees spent in the last two seasons and 15th in net spend, and that includes the Grealish money. Sure, maybe there were doubts with regard to Gerrard's managerial skills this summer and funds were held back, but something has changed and we aren't throwing money around like other clubs with "poorer" ownership. Maybe FFP is hamstringing us more than we know or maybe we're seeing problems were there are none, but the one thing that is clear is that spending habits have changed recently.
  21. Yeah, you're right. I found it again now.
