Levy most definitely isn't Tottenhams owner.

Levy owns 30% of ENIC, which gives him a far higher share in Tottenham than the token number I suspect Purslow has for us. I think it's fair to define him as "an" owner. But yeah, Joe Lewis owns twice as much.

Still a third ‘Out’ (61/120) which surprises me.

I really want him to do well, I know my comments don’t portray that but I really do.  If he’s successful then Villa are and that’s all I care about.

I didn’t even watch his presser today because he’s so good at media but it’s all just words now, I want to see action on the pitch not just words in the press conferences.

I wouldn't consider sacking any manager so early into the season, but the talk of him being amazing at press conferences baffles me. As far as I can see he churns out a few of the old cliches and gets really defensive when questioned on specifics.

    Can we rename this poll to ;

'Am I a fickle end of a bell who's forgotten where this club was in July 2018 and don't trust our owners to appoint the right manager.'

    Yes / No / Maybe

    ....mate.

Exactly. It's just a shame their last infallible appointment, Dean Smith, tragically died so young to vacate the position.

I do suspect the decision making on hiring managers will largely be delegated to Christian Purslow, the man who appointed Roy Hodgson at Liverpool.

You seem to be doing a lot of the same thing you were sarcastically chastising last season:

What prompted the change of heart? It can't be the performances, surely?

I wouldn't bother. Seeing how many British pundits can't see past a name it's not surprising that some fans can't either.

I personally don’t think he will make a regular starter in the prem and I think that he should thank the club for giving him a life, that he probably only dreamed of a few years back.

He did exactly this on instagram a few days ago.

I'd prefer signing Conor Gallagher to play alongside Kamara, and a full season loan for Nat Phillips.

More midfield control and supply, and far less defensive set piece concessions.

What is it you see in Nat Phillips? He's barely played any games and the few times I've watched him he looked championship standard.

Problem is N Korea is sucha  isolated country we dont know what they do or dont have, having  another crazy person like putin is abit worrying

We know they don't have enough food to feed their population. We know they do have pictures of supermarkets to 'fool' tourists from a distance. We know they do have nukes, but don't have anywhere near as many as Russia. We know they don't have advanced military tech. We know they do have cyber warfare capabilities, but less effective than Russia's. We know they do have a ridiculous man-child in charge who frequently talks big, but has done absolutely nothing to back it up. We know they do have Dennis Rodman as a state friend. We know they don't have any other friends on the world stage.

If it weren't for China propping them up North Korea would have collapsed long ago. I know which one of the two I'd be more concerned a bout throwing their full weight behind Russia and they're too savvy to do so.

    Yes.

When people are saying that they are gutted that the opposition didn't equalise.

Gérard says mings was injured not dropped, people still disputing it.

Perhaps I was wrong in comparing it to the matrix, more the conspiracy theories in the later  X files.

He actually said it was a bit of both, which doesn't really make sense.

Too soon, to say that, really.....Its not a club you can buy your way out of trouble.

He needs time, but my worry for him is, the game as a whole is more physical, and Its not Deans Forte, he like the dainty ball players....I think they will get steamrollered.

Their last two promotions they have walked the league with "dainty ball players". He has actually clearly been trying to address their lack of physicality by getting Isaac Hayden in.

It is nice to read a positive post. It beats the we are not signing anyone, we are crap, Gerrard is crap, we are doomed and there is no hope for us. I guess some people look on life positively and others look for opportunities to make the most of whatever cards they are dealt

Now we just have to hope a midfielder and forward rupture their achilles too so we can get top class replacements in for them and the positivity will really be rolling.

Embarassing that the media twisted his words and he felt the need to clarify. It was a totally unecessary distraction, but thankfully we can all move on.

He did say it was a bit about the captaincy in the full quotes you posted didn't he? If he was too injured to start then how can it be about anything else.

Either way, it doesn't really matter now. Hopefully Ming's continues to start and plays well, or he gets replaced because one of the others has stepped up and shown they can win aerial balls!

To be fair I don't think he was talking about degrees (in any subject) from reputable universities, more like crappy degrees like Degree in Financial Management from the University of Bedfordshire or something like that...

I know plenty of people with "crappy degrees" earning extremely good money. Any talk of cutting them back is just gatekeeping certain jobs as many employers require a degree to get in the door for an interview.

Complete **** joke that he played well today. Just papers over cracks.  I’m furious right now.

At hom, I think this is slightly different to be fair.

    IF the fans are behind.

I'm sure they will be if we're playing well. The worry is if we concede and look to be offering little to get back in the game.

I'm really hoping for a good start here. I'm not even that worried about winning at this point, it's more important to show some cohesion and idea of how to break teams down in the managers preferred formation.

I would term it fashionable.....and judging by the 2 leading clubs, the fashion might be returning.

Stay fit big fella.....and your true appraisal, might be established.

Huh? He couldn't be more different as a player to the two strikers you're referencing.

Have you watched all or nothing? The guys a complete and utter word removed

The few clips I've seen do make him look a bit of a tit. It seems like most managers are tbh.
