Still seems really odd the Saudi's havent come in for him. Given the blue print of players they are targeting he seems like a very obvious target.

So either we have made it clear we want to keep him or he has made it clear he doesnt want to live there. Probably the latter.

He's looked a little bit quicker to me in pre season. Still not really done anything. Here's hoping Unai can rejuvenate him.

Maybe they have. They wouldn't be shouting to the papers about players that have said no.

  2. This guy didn't even come to academy football until he was 16, so it stands to reason he may develop slightly later than others.

Working with a coach like Emery who, as he has said, wants players to understand why they do things will be a dream come true for him. Whether he makes it with us or not, there is no doubt in my mind that a year of training with the 1st team will set him in great stead to have a good career.

Avoided it for a while but now I’ve started to watch it I’m really liking Fubar

Some  good “in “ jokes and the Melissa McCarthy clone is brilliant , even Arnie gets to finally prove he can comedy

I'm not convinced his comedic timing has improved much since Kindergarten Cop and Twins.

I really like that Luis Miguel Echegaray. I don't think I've ever seen anything he's said that I've disagreed with.

The timing has worked out perfectly with him becoming a more prominent media figure as we sign more and more South American and Spanish players too. Maybe it's why he's become more visible. Either way, it certainly helps having him as a bridge as we hopefully get more fans in those areas of the world.

Amrabat is the name, most likely bollox

He is a decent passing midfielder with not great defensive stats. He may well have been an option before signing Tielemans, it happening now seems unlikely.

What about the Leeds keeper as backup to Martinez? I think he's better than he could show at Leeds given their awful defensive structure.

I know plenty will disagree as he has made some pretty bad errors, but I think Meslier could develop extremely well. The problem is, they'd probably ask for enough money to buy any 2 top goalkeeping prospects around.

20yr old, LaLiga 2 player, whose team finished below mid table in LaLiga 2.....

am i missing something!?!?, is he super highly rated or something?

That there were 10 other players in the team, he was only 19 and also made 11 La Liga appearances at 18.

Bristol City have had plenty of underwhelming seasons while Alex Scott has been breaking through. Same with Reading and Olise. I appreciate the league is stronger, but I don't think you can judge an individual solely on their teams performance. If we hadn't signed Kellyman from Derby, he'd probably be playing for an extremely average league 1 side this coming season!

I think we have to trust they have enough knowledge of him to either be confident he will develop well, or could develop well and is cheap enough to take a punt.

I know, I'm just trying to think of a way to fit them both in.

From what I've seen so far the FBs take turns tucking in while the other attacks, with one holding MF but they're still tweaking things.

Schumacher has said they'll still sometimes play 3-4-2-1.

I agree with the points, but it was an innuendo joke! If you didn't realise that, I applaud how you have subconsciously carried on the double entendre to this post with aplomb.

That’s ridiculous but doesn’t surprise me. At least it’s going towards Villa and not Sky/BT/whoever.

If I were you I’d pay for the 3 friendlies and contact Villa for a refund on the annual sub.

Good luck with a refund. I accidentally double bought a match pass before when the site was bugging and never managed to get a response from the club.

Have you paid for pre match package subscription?

    Or Villa TV subscription?

Starting to look like as another poster intimated, they may be seperate.

They are seperate. Are you definitely logged in? My details didn't work yesterday, so I had to reset my password.

Feel like this kind of service is so outdated and finnicky. Was fine in the early 2010's, but you can stream everything on Youtube now, or even farm off your content to other streaming services for a fee.

It works great for me as over the past year and a half I've mostly been at work for games, so I get home and watch them at 2am.

The only big downside is they put the scores in the video titles, so half the time I don't manage to click on it before spoiling and don't end up watching.

  12. I watched him quite a lot in the championship and thought he was great. This year I only really watched Forest at the start of the season when they were struggling to gel, although I hear he improved massively throughout.

I'm all for it, but very much doubt we'd be able to agree a price that makes sense.

  13. Is it just me that found it interesting he had been told about the season ticket waiting list and stadium expansion? To me, that says we are selling the vision to grow into a really exciting club for players within a few years. Hopefully that breeds a mindset of improving us into the club you dream of playing for rather than stopping off with your next move already in mind.

    Yesterday Felix and Diaby

Today a guy called Charles that can't say I've ever heard of and Brennan Johnston

    Bit of a rollercoaster

A year ago I think CDK would have been seen as a real coup. By all accounts he's had a pretty bad season, but the signing still excites me as I think his profile is exactly what we need for our 2nd striker.

Don't see why we have to sell. Someone worked out a few pages back that We're still well under our FFP cap, we've got most of our recent targets for peanuts, and our owners are loaded.

If you mean the tweet thread, it completely missed the mark on how FFP works.

I don't get the dynamic angle with regards to Rice.  He is slow . JU would beat him by 10 yards in a 50 yard race.  He is heavily built. Will get even slower in rhe next 5 years.  A good player and a good leader no doubt. But not dynamic .

I think he's a good ball carrier and energetic. There should be no reason for a player like him to be making 50 yard runs unless it's towards his own goal!

I’d wager if you have a genuine claim these lawyer types will take around 35% of your award as a fee.

Then you negotiate an upfront fee so the financial risk of failing the claim is on you, rather than the lawyer. Or you do a little bit of reading and submit a claim yourself, increasing the risk of getting no money and spending your own time doing it.

You wont find many people willing to do either of those though. People want to have their cake and eat it and be able to say '**** lawyer types' for expecting to be paid to do a job.
