If he is under 21 he doesn't need to be registered. But often season longs loans can't be recalled early under the loaning club want rid of them.

He's already played for two clubs this season anyway.

Yes that’s me and my bar in New Orleans.  Sorry I didn’t copy the link correctly.  But loved that the writer included the Villa❤️

I clicked it for Villa and ended up learning a bit about New Orleans cocktail culture!

Would really like our academy to bring in more foreign players moving forward. As long as they are taken care of and helped to settle it should be a positive to have players from different footballing backgrounds and schools.

Big world out there, we shouldn't settle for just having local guys (and gals) if we aim to have competition in the academy.

Full disclosure I don't have any real insight into the academy work apart from what's found on this site. :)

I'm not sure how easy this would he for us now. The single market gave us a good way around those pesky child labour laws.

Is the challenge not being annoyed about veg being served in wire cages and not actually having a plate?

What look like frozen Yorkshire puddings, potatoes clearly not crispy and the veg appears to have all been steamed/boiled with no effort made to impart flavour. This is why I barely ever have a roast out.

Soooo.... Not actually that big an audience then?

Edit: I'm trying to understand the figures. I can't really believe this wasn't the biggest televised event in this country in our lifetimes. Maybe the impact of streaming and other ways of consuming live events has made the calculations difficult to determine?

Definitely because of the last line. I've had the TV on 3 or 4 times in the last 4 years.

Tesco do a nice one in their cafe

Unfortunately I live in London so don't have a car and supermarkets cafs are few and far between in town centre supermarkets.

I've found the best way to find a decent, non-pretentious fry up is to follow the high vis vests at 7am. Anyone working on site somewhere for several months will eventually find the best spots.

We have gone toe to toe with one of the best teams in the world?

I must have slept through that part of our recent history. Wtf?

It's a shame you did. You should watch the Liverpool game from October 2020 foe the best of them. I've also got a few plucky losses and draws if you're after recommendations

He offered nothing to the 1st team

So he forced a move by being less experienced, or are you saying he purposefully played worse than he can to make us sell him?

18 minutes ago, Peter Griffin said:

refused the contract offer and said he would not sign one. As far as any of us understand we do not know if Luiz said he wouldn't sign a new contract or not. He may have said he will sign with caveats.

Exactly. None of us know, which makes it a bit odd to assume this is the definitely the case and use it to criticise others.

He also contributes to our 1st 11

Using this to say he forced a move makes no more sense to me the second time.

Chuck forced a moved to Chelsea and Luiz is still at Villa. Luiz adds value to the first team, Chuck doesn't.

What did he do differently to force it?

I really don't understand the debate. He has played a lot of matches for Norway, both in U-teams and the senior team. I also think he is quite excited with the prospect of playing Euro qualifiers with Martin Ødegaard.

Yeah, I don't see a world where he would even consider playing for us instead. I was just making an (incorrect) statement on citizenship.

How exactly would it be automatic? In common with most countries in Europe - and in contrast to most countries in the Americas - we don't have birthright citizenship in this country.

It's going to be hard for me to explain it to you then.

He's not though, is he? He was born in England to two Norweigan parents and moved back to Norway at age 3, and he's declared internationally for Norway.

He'd be entitled to British citizenship if he wanted it but as far as I'm aware he's not claimed it? Seems a lot like he's Norweigan to me.

He doesn't have to. It's automatic.

I don’t get why he can’t apply the same technique for freekicks on goal.

Because it loses a lot of potency when you can't use players to block the keeper.

The club if it's ever sold will be sold with the Stadium so only a new owner might merge it back as part of a purchase deal

Imo that deal should see them in breach of state aid regulations, if we haven't already ripped those up.

Yes, if u rent the stadium the rental cost is subject to FFP. However, with a long term rental agreement it is not that unusual for the tenant to pay for upgrades to the premises and not impact rental agreement amount for the term of the contract. It would be nice if the club could use the redevelopment to buy the stadium back or get equity in the stadium. NSWE only paid AVFC 56m for the stadium and the redevelopment costs will be double that

Over here tenant's improvements can't be included in rent reviews for 21 years. Kind of irrelevant in this situation though as the landlord and tenant are connected parties and I doubt NSWE will be looking to gouge us on the rent, if there even are rent review provisions. It wouldn't be unusual for the rent of similar assets on the open market to be directly linked to turn over.

  16. 3 minutes ago, CVByrne said:

The club doesn't own the stadium. NSWE do

Good point. Presumably the 'market rent' in calculations would have to be increased when the stadium is improved, which should also be offset by more revenue.
