  1. 40,402 or something like that, heskey looked good when we had momentum, but shocking when we didnt, the 1st 20mins his performance was unacceptable bordering on the worst ive ever seen, last 20 fonz should have come on to press their back 3 overall, for all the faults very good game, amazing atmosphere, when we were good we were very good, when we were bad we were as bad as we've been all season, lack of subs is still a concern IMO, downing had been limping for 10mins before coming off for sidwell, what was the harm in giving albrighton a run? and what was with fat sam moaning about the pen and red card? and blackburn fans chanting cheats outside? looked an all dayer to me from the holte
  2. I hope we win just to **** with the idiot next to me who went home at 2 nil
  3. hasnt he changed his name? so you might not have spotted it but it is him avatar won the golden globe last night, with hangover best comedy
  4. i thought there would be a few moans about the ref, he obviously didnt sway the game either way as fortunately he had no real decisions to make (carew was miles off) but i thought he was piss poor, there were a few bad moments - the west ham quick free kick from about 25 yards away from the foul that sent them on a break the break that we had on that he stopped for a blatant bit of play acting someone who watched it on tv might prove me wrong but after the sub and another daft "injury" theres no way we played 4 mins the way he twice made upson run half the pitch so he could witness a player being booked it was almost like he needed a breather and kept trying to slow the game down after every foul while he titted about (ironically the only one he didnt mess about with was my 1st point)
  5. downing at least seemed to be trying, crossing wasnt very good but better than ash's, he also switched the ball very weel IMO, warnock looked knackered and didnt run past him as much as he usually does which was a shame, but downing also had 2/3 runs where he cut inside going past their midfield before having to cut back and pass backwards cos nothing was in front of him
  6. the way we were playing was an all dayer for upson, fonz should have come on rather than carew
  7. I loved it for some reason. It just had the right balance of comedy and zombies. Can't wait until it comes out on Blu-Ray next month. best cameo ever?
  8. to be fair apart from the late late header blackburn hardly touched the ball after sidwell came on, not particulary cos of him, but we seemed far more controlled with the extra man in the middle, it was a good sub, didnt need the all action NRC
  9. after sundays game when no doubt the ticket office will be busy, you can do the scientific proven method of checking how many blocks are green, orange or red on the online ticket purchase i think the upper wings might be a bit bare but its tsill game on so hopefully we will be over 40k
  10. Ya it saddens me seeing him out so wide! gabbys problem is he runs from the middle out towards the wings whether he has the ball at his feet, is chasing it, or making a run in to space, which means that whenever he actually gets the thing under control he is stuck out wide. he needs to drift out wide a bit but then make runs at the heart of the defence so that milner can play him in into dangerous positions. if you look at our goal tonight, gabby is running towards the corner flag when milner lays the ball to downing - thankfully milner chose to send the ball right rather than left. gabby has his moments but he also has things to learn. i was with you untill this bit. thats actually called making space. if he had of stayed central there wouldn't have been the gap for milner to run into agree, it was shit defending all round but blackburns RB could and should have read milners run he had a view of the whole play, but he was too busy watching gabby on the left to notice the run
  11. you could always link it back to that stevie g one where there was intent... i thought gabby was getting up to speed, IMO he was certainly going fast enough to go over, there was contact, gabby made a meal of it, at worst they should cancel each other out, but the booking suggests that clattenburg saw no contact at all, which there blatantly was
  12. i actually thought that was the nicest id ever heard platt be about us :? IMO he's usually far worse
  13. cant remember it coming up tonight but the attendance was 18,595, thats **** dire! what were their prices?
  14. i had cuellar at RB due to the majority of blackburns goals coming from set pieces, another big man in there to help with samba, made sense to me
  15. we kept it interesting for next week on purpose 1st half IMO was as good as we get, 2nd halfdipped but we still could of had 2/3 goals each half, still think with carlos at RB we hit it long a bit too much but with their set pieces threat it did make sense, guzan looked nervous (shame it was a foul cos it was a great save) but everyone else looked very good ref was absolutely shocking, 2 pens, IMO the kalinic elbow is either way not always given, but benni's at the end i cant see what else he possibly saw
  16. i agree, apart from dwindling then rushing with his chance he's been exactly what we need him to be IMO
  17. we are playing brilliantly, best ive seen in a while, even without the pens we've had 3/4 clear cut chances problem is blackburn cant be that bad in the 2nd half, i got a feeling dick turpin is going to make an appearance and our fans are amazing, to think that probably another 2/3k are at home after not being able to get tickets too
  18. I was just about to say clattenburg had stepped up a level!
  19. i found that strange too! didnt mention how we have had so many semi finals though, we cant do that bad in the semis seeing as we have such a good record in this cup, shame the sun keep their proper statistics for the top 4 - anyone know the % of villa playing the 1st leg away and going through? also winning/drawing/losing the 1st/away leg and still making it through? wheres BOF?!
  20. this and you cant go by the weather, but hopefully after the almost disgraceful balls up by west ham/police at the weekend you'd hope they think twice before cancelling the game
  21. just seen the Hatton interview on SSN, the guy looks shocking most interesting for me was his reaction to a kahn fight, you can see that for all the bullshit he says about warren and being mates he knows it wont pull a vegas crowd or big enough wage this will be a pointless fight against another has been "for the fans" ie in a casino the otherside of the world and on at 4am once you've paid £20
  22. yeah its ok, its a remake of an old film, i cant remember enough about it to start describing it without knowing if im spoiling anything, but denzel more often than not makes decent films IMO that said anyone seen deja vu?
  23. try the good the bad and the weird, like an asian re-telling, its a bit different!
  24. try zombieland and i love you man there were loads of bad ones this year - land of the lost, year one, boat that rocked, couples retreat etc all bombed
  25. how'd did you see it already? great book and cant wait to see what he does with it (although bit concerned that he's gone nuts on the heaven scenes and might disappoint on the family story) and its got a great cast, its not out here till the end of jan
