  1. It's never going to happen at all with O'Neill at the helm. Four years in, and Beye, Cuellar, Davies and Shorey is a defence that's going to help us catch the top four? Never in a million years. its never going to happen whilst we are chasing clubs that earn £50 - £80million more a season than we do from the champions league! we could have more or less any manager and any owner and it wouldnt happen, unless we go the city route and ruin our club ive been saying this on here for about a year now, its alomost we are chasing something that the powers that be dont want us to have, best of the rest is all we can aim for, and our main competitors for that lost 6-1 at home today
  2. Do you actually believe 15 days are going to change much? YES because the next 15 days is going to be the difference in who is going to be managing us come January. no it wont, MON will still be here lerner isnt as fickle as some of our fans who' of guessed O'drearys comments to be so true?
  3. you mean the same martin jol who's just signed up to probably every dutchman's dream and is managing ajax? and couldnt get spuds past 5th (although unfairly IMO booted)
  4. too easy to say go, harder to point us in the direction that we should be going, i honestly cant believe that today i sat on here watching the game and posting and saw fans who seriously believed alan curbishly would do a better job, anyone on here who is willing to stick their neck out on the line (ie whinge) and say MON out should be able to say who can do better or shut up cos your not helping the club shit result no denying that but sometimes i seriously question what our fans want/expect personally - get the shit result out the way, realise the peace cup means **** all, go home ashamed watch MOTD see that city werent amazing, everton were even worse and hopefully spuds will be shit tomorrow, some peoples idea of the end of the wrld is far away from mine
  5. grow up dickhead, where were you when we had O'Leary and doug and you went into games like this expecting to lose? Quit the abuse - MON is continuing the shite performance as a manager he did for most of 2009 and at various times before. The time may well be here for him to accept it that he hasn't got what he needs to take this club forward and think about what is best for us and the midless fans that we are lucky enough to have once again find it easier to criticise how many are willing to boo, how many will slate him without actually being able to offer anything constructive we are losing, and its shit but sack MON? and do what then exactly? curbishley is looking for work still
  6. grow up dickhead, where were you when we had O'dreary and doug and you went into games like this expecting to lose?
  7. i agree with ash off, the falling over routine is really taking the piss
  8. in terms of today im really confident, until we get battered at plop and the window closes without further improvements then ill worry, but personally i dont see why so many fans have their ass in their hands, the 18 we will name today will keep us going for another 2 weeks
  9. same again IMO, and i'll be happy if we achieve that and actually turn up in the cups
  10. nothing to do with the PR system being shit still :x when they were announcing their subs i didnt have a scooby what was going on until you saw it on the screen
  11. 2 good games this preseason and 2 good years in the reserves and IIRC england U19 captain, IMO the lads got to be given a chance at some point and he looks good
  12. Come and say hello next time! i saw you too mate! walking down the steps in the holte too many people to say hello pointed you out to the missus, she replyed is that him who does the funny pics!
  13. i started reading the take whilst i was on holiday, liked the tv show, book is pretty good but IMO she repeats her self alot any read the time travellers wife? the gf has been told to pick it up and give it a read
  14. couldnt agree more general, i dont see why people cant go 2 hours without a cigarette 9/10 jobs wouldnt let you smoke that often and as you say people manage to fly everywhere without one so why cant they do it at the villa
  15. heskey is suspended!! so obviously big john will start and id have sidwell and delph in the middle, purely cos i dont rate NRC, but MON will have sidwell and NRC
  16. heskey is suspended so he cant start, i agree with your post though heskey looked good today and carew didnt, and one things for sure from the peace cup JC and heskey didnt make a good pair so it'll be gabby with one of them
  17. sorry! and another thing - did anyone else see the fonz and nige warming up at half time? nige launched it up it the air and the fonz brought it down and did some keepy ups? best piece of control id seen since that lad at half time during the everton game!
  18. MONs interview on the OS - who were fiorentina's 4 star players? vargas showed some really good stuff down the left, frey made some good saves but IMO parried alot, and gilardino looked ok but we defended well (i think it was him who turned and hit the barwhen he was offside? the turn was brilliant) but IMO jovetic who i had expected a bit from was poor, and then seeing as i missed the team news and the new program had no numbers on it did montolivio or kuzmanovic even play?
  19. no one near me will be showing mesrine! typical hopefully m hill odeon will show hurt locker at the end of the month looks brilliant, and anyone for who that is their local, check out french film the class showing there on tuesday night my film of choice for tonight is mystic river, never seen it before so gonna see what the fuss was about
  20. all of NRC decent work from the peace cup went out the window IMO, was poor when he came on contributed little, sidwell made some good touches and delph was vey good but will get plenty of yellows, carew was disappointing, lichaj's distribution was awful the huge positive was the 1st half chopping and changing with gabby and heskey plus most of the midfield all going wide it was great to see that we still managed to have bodies in the centre which we struggled with last year, other positives for me was fonz looked alot more mature and heskey didnt look so lumbersome and clark looks like he could be 3rd choice let alone 4th the other pleasing thing was the work rate (albrighton in particular) closing down and some great tackling all over the pitch
  21. i think heskey isnt banned from this game but will be for the wigan game, even so with gabby and the fonz not having played yet id be surprised to see him feature
  22. i can remember seeing a piece on soccer am being in africa and me and the missus beaming when we saw that the local village had a team that wore villa shirts and were playing against another team the shirts were all different seasons, the shorts didnt match but absolutely no one cared it was great to watch surely it cant take too much effort to link to a charity that does this work and then stick a box in the corner of villa village?
