Vodafone recently announced a shirt sponsership deal with the Dublin GAA team here in Ireland Cant remember the figures but it was the highest price every recieved by any GAA county for shirt sponsorship,(but dublin would sell more than twice as much apprail as any other of the counties) So they still see shirt sponsorship as a way of promoting their brand, but I think you all might find the logo abit off-putting. As an Irish Villa fan living in ireland with very few loyalty pts and no chance of getting a ticket for the final, but still wanting to enjoy the atmosphere, do you think I would be best served travelling to LONDON and trying my luck on getting tickets and maybe watching it in a pub full of Manure or going to BIRMINGHAM and getting tickets to the Holte Suite or Holte Pub. What do you reckon LONDON or BIRMINGHAM??

Genaral, Seeing both sides of the argument about MON I don't really know where I stand on the issue. Yes I was delighted when he was appointed and couldn't wait for the following years to progress and looking back although I've been very disappointed in his actions in the transfer window I realise that his job is not to perform in the transfer window.His job is to win football matches,in his own words he is a professional football manager and he is paid to win football matches. During the previous windows I've often heard yourself/Randy say to fans trust MON.That he is the manager with all the experience and knowledge to drive us forward and with all due respect to us we're "only" the fans we don't get to see what goes on at the training pitch everyweek. Well I have been trusting MON like you asked and it's still not good enough. I also trust Randy to do what is best for this club. I am a fan not an owner, I have no experience at running a football club. I trust Randy to do the right thing and continue to drive this club forward with or without MON, but as your well awere the gloss of a billionaire owner and a couple of 6th place finishes in the league and no cup runs is well and truely worn off. Attendances and unoffical polls are showing MON/Villa are not only losing a couple of games but also the additional fans that were brought back over the past couple of years. But most of all peoples perception of a BRIGHT FUTURE. Please end this groundhog club that we seem to have created........

The point is most people don't realise there getting overcharged. The Villa jersey has cost 60 euro for maybe the past 5/6 yrs and people didn't question this as the exchange rates were always used as the excuse.But most uk items sold in Ireland are traditionally dearer. So people accepted it. However last yr and now this yr the exhange have come more in line and the prices have remained the same.It's not just villa Man Utd also do it. Man Utd home jersey £37.58 or 56 euro. £37.58=43.38euro. A difference of 13euro for selection the option of paying in euro. I'm sure you don't want to comment on anything relating to other clubs but this example proves its not really a "Villa" problem but a "Villa partners" ,problem. Also I'm sure your fellew Americans are getting stiched in the same way, you should check it out!! So I'm delighted to here your on the case again.

Yes irish one it was me who raised this issue last yr, and after been referred to john greenfield by the general, I deceided not to purchase anything off the official villa website and informed all my villa friends here not too also. This is a con on european comsumers that has no explanation at all, only to increase (no sorry maintain) additional revenue which it recieves from overseas customers. I believe the marketing dept see this as ok, because all the other PL clubs are doing it too. It is so so easy to fix but the club are unwilling to play ball. All they have to do is remove the option of paying in euro's and all customers will pay stg rates and then get charged the current exchance rates and save the €14.50. The € icon is not needed and should be replaced with a "place rip me off" button.

General this is a really bad idea, please don't go down this line, I live in Ireland and used to attend most Rep of Ireland games,until they brought in this system. "Package Deals" they called it. Ticket's for friendlies with Brazil and China or italy and andorra. It results in the A game perhaps not selling out fully and the B game still half empty cause people still wont go even if they have a ticket.

I had this problem when I was last over, at least everyone knew to send me to tesco's as I had no idea where any where or what direction to go to find one, One in the Villa Village and beside the Holte Suite would be prefect.
