I dont want to answer on behalf of the General, but I asked him that very question last yr as its also similar with the $ exchange rate. The basis of his reply was that the he would contact John Greenfield and see the reasoning. After several weeks and many more requests to the General, John responded with something along the lines of that online sales/website are dealt with by a third party (kitbag I think) and there's nothing that they can do about it because it's not just Villa but all clubs who use this firm. So to add to this question who pockets the extra revenue? So international Villa fans should be made aware that by choosing to pay in STG instead of euro/dollar they can make a significant savings. But not enough is been made of this issue and fans dont realise that they're being ripped off.

Good for you. However, I'm guessing that you don't put £1,000+ into going to watch Villa every season, being that you live over there (my apologies if you do actually do this too). Many of us spend a fortune going to see Villa every season. Therefore, why should we sit back and accept the fact that we are being vastly overcharged for a top that will last around five months less than normal (for the current season)?! It's all good to sit back and say "I will wear it proudly', thus attempting to make out that it is some kind of proof of how good your support for the club is.... We all proudly support the Villa and many of us would like the new top. However, many of us put lots of money into Villa on a regular basis and refuse to be robbed on this occasion. Fair enough if you want to pay that price as it's up to you. I refuse to pay it though, as it is daylight robbery. Simple as.... Fair call. For what it is worth, my intention was never to take a swipe at the level of support anyone gives - so you can kiss my arse and shove your suggestion that I was suggesting that my support exceeds anyone else's. I suggest you direct your anger at the whole situation elsewhere mate. Perhaps take a moment to think how you would feel being on the other side of the world having never seen Villa play live. We regularly see posts from fans on the generals page about Nike and Villa speading the Villa message worldwide and saying Villa aren't doing enough. Here we have a Villa fan in Oz whos opinion is different to Villa Park regular and at the 1st oppurtunity he is attacked for being different. Not the behavour of a true fan in my opinion. Alot of fans will also have to make a buisness decision on purchasing a product that will (as far as we're aware) have its shelf life halved and the discount offered is £5 or about 2%. It doesn't really make finanical sense for us to purchase. Mon and Randy for the last 4 yrs ran this club and a very sound financial footing. But your asking fans to make a unsenseable financial decision. One of two things has to happen in my opinion. Either AVFC/Nike extent the contract for another yr and dont release another jersey next yr or the price is reduced to nearer the 50% mark to offer true value. Again thanks for your time.

Not just coaches a few more players will def be making the trip down to if you ask me. Maybe Steve G and Carragher for there final yr in football. I would love Saunders as a assistant to Houllier. He knows the club too and has plenty of experience too and with Toshack leaving Wales soon could be available(for might be next in line for the Welch job).

Will be interesting to see what lenth of contract he gets? To show the board have faith in GH I think it will have to be a 3 or 4 yr deal. If they give him a rolling contract like MON had, what can we read into that?
