Had a shoulder injury at the end of the 18/19 season IIRC, which is why Benfica ultimately decided not to buy him last summer. I wouldn't be put off by that, personally, as he was very impressive again when he recovered.

Yep, he had a good 6 months on loan at Genoa, and won't fancy being 3rd choice behind Szczesny and Buffon. Great keeper

Gave a terrible goal away against Watford and was very poor against Leicester just off the top of my head. Even on the last day, he made a complete mess of a simple straight ball forward, and let Antonio through on goal. Not writing him off, but we could and should look to improve. We had the second worst defence in the league last season, and the consensus seems to be that we don't need defenders!

Thauvin has improved tenfold since he was at Newcastle, and would literally be the best player possible who would consider potentially joining us currently! Sadly the link originates from Tutto Mercato which is basically The Sun in Italy. £13.5m would be absolute daylight robbery

That adds up to 24! And, in any case, international sides take squads of 23 I wouldn't focus solely on the positions in which we are low in numbers. We have a lot of defenders and goalkeepers on our books, but we had the 2nd worst defence in the league last season. We got a couple of late clean sheets against teams with nothing to play for, but I still think we need to sign some good defenders. Last season showed we're a pretty poor side at this level (very poor if you take Jack out), and so I'll be happy to see quality additions in any department.

If they're looking to sell him on for a profit, hopefully we can just give them a few quid to remove the clause. This often happens in other countries.

FFP only allows us to spend a certain amount, which is why we spent so little in January. Don't get me wrong, I think we'll spend over £100m, as our owners are ambitious. That said, we can't just shell out as much as we like

Lozano played in 10 out of 12 Serie A games post lockdown, often coming on for Callejon, who is now leaving. Who knows, maybe they'll sell (and I'd love if we got him!), but I think he'll play a role with Napoli next season, and Brekalo will be back up for Insigne on the left.

Not necessarily. Lozano played better towards the end of the season, and Callejon is moving on, which makes room for Brekalo. Good Player

Nah, correlation doesn't mean causation. We went 5 at the back and stopped being so gung ho after Watford spanked us in December. I'll be as chuffed as anyone if Wes proves me wrong, but, as of now, he's had far more poor performances than good, and I would definitely sell him for a decent fee.
