  1. Terrible result. Sick of us sitting deep trying to protect leads. LAMBERT OUT. I'm so bored watching this sh** football
  2. Can't believe more people are screaming for Bent to start. Granted, he has been off form for 2 years now and was poor at fulham too, but we pass the ball more this year than the last couple of years, so he will get more chances as he makes proper strikers runs. Like him or not, he was a consistent scorer in the prem up to 2-3 years ago and I just don't understand why he isn't getting more game time, bearing in mind we have only scored 5 goals this season!! Gabby is great, but not good enough off the ball. He or Weimann will never be prolific goal scoters. Start Bent against Southampton and Burnley please!!! Give him a run!
  3. Please don't anyone try and scrape positives out if that. Another home defeat, out of both cups, 6 points from bottom. Lambert out!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. Lambert out !!!! Please !!!! It's so boring and so crap How can anyone legislate for this nonsense every week
  5. No point trying to defend him, aside from the results just look at the crap he has signed. Bringing back albrighton is desperation, he is dreadful. This is the lowestninhave felt as a villa fan since we appointed graham Taylor for the second time. The only problem is, that Faulkner is a useless muppet and randy has lost interest, so the future really is not bright.
  6. Disgraceful. Lambert out Lambert out Lambert out Lambert out !!!!!!
  7. Lambert out !!! Lambert out !!! Lambert out !!! Lambert out !!! Lambert out !!! Lambert out !!! Lambert out !!! Lambert out !!! Lambert out !!!
  8. I did. Although I do admit I am also venting some frustration at the rubbish I have paid to watch in the last few weeks... A cup run and some GOOD signings will do me, and us, the world of good
  9. The Paul Lambert comments on the FA Cup are frustrating to hear. I would much rather us finish 17th and win the FA Cup, than just finish 9th in the league. The Cup gives us an opportunity of European football (which the league would not). The thought of us just finishing mid table at best year after year is thoroughly depressing,we all love football for the excitement !! Of course avoiding relegation is the primary aim, but to dismiss the FA Cup like this I think is appalling. We would struggle to beat any league one side with some of the dross Lambert has bought (our 'squad' players such as sylla, tonev, Westwood, el Ahmadi, Bowery, Kozak, Bennett etc etc etc). If it wasn't for benteke and vlaar his signings would be the worst in the clubs history! What we need now is a cup run, and us to spent good money on good players, no more 1-2m on junk!!!!!!!
  10. My ratings: Given 5 - couldn't have done a lot about the goals Lawton 4 - poor both ends of the pitch Baker 2 - all over the place Clark 2 - never a captain, no organisation Bennett 2 - woeful Bannan 0 - words can't describe how bad he is, impossible to play any worse Delph 1 - useless, negative, same as he has been since he signed N'Zogbia 7 - although a little frustrating, the only player who consistently caused problems Gabby 4 - I expected a lot more Weimann 6 - wasn't overly impressed but the goal and workrate were good Benteke 2 - his worst game, missed a sitter and cost us the 3rd goal Bent 3 - no worse than Benteke but that miss was the stuff of nightmares Burke, ah what's the point Am a devastated villa fan, will cheer on the team in the home leg, in the fa cup and in the league (VTID) but this is the worst Villa team I have ever seen and at this rate we are going down and out of both cup's at the next hurdle. The midfield is disgracefully bad and the scariest thing is that I'm not sure Lambert sees it!!!!!!
  11. Here is what is on my mind.... Please please please NOT STEVE MCLAREN!!!!!! Am worried looking at the bookies odds
  12. Hi general - how is the manager search coming along? Can you do anything to ease fans' worries about steve mclaren. Any manager out there could really improve us after last season, with the exception of mclaren! I know you can't comment on who we may get but can you rule out someone who would be a very unpopular choice? We have faith... UTV!
  13. Hi General I would just like to say well done to yourself and the board for handling the manager situation with such dignity and intelligence. I will hold my hands up an say that on the run in to the end of the season I was calling for a new manager, but the actions of the club kept stability and in the end was vindicated by our top 10 finish. Was not the biggest fan of Houllier but wish him all the best. I think there are many managers out there who could take the club forward with the exception of Steve McLaren!!
  14. General Gerard houllier is bringing the players, the fans and the entire club to it's knees. Please act now to get rid of the gutless, clueless and emotional management now. I sit in trinity road and have done so for 20 years. It is heartbreaking to watch a wolves manager passionately encourage his players while our sits slumped in his seat he is a defeated man general, don't let him take the club with him
  15. Hi General, First thing, I think the club statement that you are looking for someone with Premier League experience is very encouraging. This is exactly what we need and I applaud you for that. However, surely this rules out KMac as manager. He has zero experience managing a Premier League team, only as a caretaker. Also, very worried at the news we are interviewing Curbishley, he is washed up and a failure at a smaller club like West Ham. What is the chance that we can show some ambition and appoint a really top quality manager that will attract players, help us retain our best players and keep the fans feeling like we have ambition ??? In my view, Sven would be perfect, although he is much maligned his record is one of the best out there. Also people like Moyes, Hughes and Allardyce but all of these will require Randy to put his money and ambition where his mouth is. Do you see this happening?
  16. General - tonight was the night that all the hard work we put in last season went to COMPLETE WASTE. Where do we go from here? How do we attract a top manager when we are clearly a selling club, selling our best 2 players in the last 2 seasons? The only way I can see it getting any worse is if we appoint KMac or Bob Bradley as manager! Am trying to look for positives but finding it very difficult
  17. Hi General, thanks as always for answering our questions. Can you assure fans that when we get round to appointing a permanent manager, it will be someone with either Premiership or top tier European experience, not an inexperienced, untried and probably cheaper choice such as Kevin Mac or Bob Bradley? I think this is something many fans are worried about....
  18. Howdy General First of all, can I say how fantastic last season was for me. I have been a season ticket holder since I was about 7 (I'm 23 now) and it was the most entertaining season of football I've seen down at Villa Park and re-instated my pride at being a Villa fan. Whatever you say, yourself and Randy are hugely influential in creating the positive vibes at Villa Park and end the Deadly Dull years. I am a little worried though at our activity in the transfer market. If a club like Man City is trying to sign Ronaldinho, is that not sort of player we should be busting a gut to sign? In my opinion, these players pay for themselves and I just really feel we need a 'big name' signing at the cub. Any chance of this happening? The above point is also so important because our captain is probably leaving! I am sure that you want to bring success back to the club and I really feel we need to make a huge impact to the trasfer market this summer to send out a message that we can compete financially with the Man City's, Spurs etc. Anyway, you have my full faith in looking after our great club and as I work in the City, I am looking forward to making the long trip back each weekend!
