  1. he went bald in his late teens, then had hair implants which they pulled out on him
  2. Sorry mate - i know you are entitled to your say, but that statement is balls. Luke Moore had a shoulder problem - do you honestly think Aston Villa, with our medical staff and facilities at our disposal would sign a goalkeeper - a position that you are prone to diving about on the floor rather a lot - that has a 'bad' shoulder as you put it did you stop reading after the first sentence? Nope.... But i saw the line ' but he has a bad shoulder though' and instantly thought that the rest of the post cant be as bad as this...and to be fair you pulled it back a bit - doesnt mask how factually incorrect it is though. Shay Given does not have a bad shoulder any more than I have a bad shoulder (which i dont) ever dislocated it? coz theyre notoriously problematic Can't say I have - but quite frankly, and dont take this the wrong way - i trust some of the best medical staff money can buy over your medical opinion doctor p3te im not saying its a given (no pun intended) that there'll be issues, and as i pointed out he'll have been put through his paces, but it's happened before and it'll happen again where a previous injury gets past a medical
  3. if thats the case we may as well just go for that vargas lad for £15m instead nobody to blame here but the board. that bid shouldve been in and accepted long ago, we could still have waited for downing to go through before finalising it if we needed the money

  6. hes got a bad shoulder though. we saw with luke moore that a dislocated shoulder can pop out of its own accord seemingly randomly, so its a risk. im sure we wouldnt have given him anything like the deal he's on if it was particularly likely to flare up again though, but you never know either way, keeper is sorted and that was the big one for us secondary side of this is that shay is used to playing behind dunne, so that might bring another season like 09/10 out of him
  7. yeah but she's a woman, what does she know about football No need for that comment really !! Is that because it goes without saying? boom! take a bow son
  8. yeah but she's a woman, what does she know about football
  9. deals with city seem to take forever, since the players hae to negotiate their payoffs from them etc
  10. i assume you said the same thing when we were holding out for more money for downing then yeah?
  11. typical if we're not giving out that the contracts we give our players are too short, we're giving out that theyre too long
  12. robbie keane was one of the main ones i think, but im not sure
  13. i thought he stopped playing international football cos he couldnt be arsed? he stopped playing international football because he was being bullied by senior players and didnt feel the need to put up with that shit that sounds like a load of cack if u ask me? Who said this Stephen Ireland himself. fairly widely known over here that he was held down during a training session and had his hair implants pulled out lol seriously? my sarcasm detector aint working.. I vaguely rmber him ranting about players from Dublin being treated better or something no, its not sarcasm yeah he also said that. i dont blame him not playing for ireland given the shit that hes had to put up with from the irish camp, but bullying is unacceptable. seems that people think its ok since he makes so much money, but thats bullshit. if youre not comfortable in your environment due to your coworkers you shouldnt have to put up with it while that shits going on he's dead right to stay away

  16. general, once again i must ask why the club arent doing anything about the tapping up of our players? downing was tapped up, and it was reported to the club. and we know that rangers were in touch with carlos without villas permission, why arent we doing anything about this?
  17. julie, no offence, but you need to stop putting so much credence in what you read on twitter
  18. general, can you tell us why the club have not acted on the information that two of our players have been illegally approached this summer? not only that, but we actually went and agreed fees for those players with the clubs who tapped them up? we know that ally mccoist was on the phone to carlos cuellar weeks ago without making anything even close to an official approach to the club to try and get him to manufacture a move, and the same thing happend with downing a long time before that. the latter was brought to the club's attention, but the club did nothing. why is this? and why is it now coming out that villa were the ones who pushed through the downing deal, as well as being the ones actively trying to get rid of carlos cuellar? have the board got absolutely no balls? for all this talk of doing things right, we aren't half a pathetic bunch are we
  19. downing did that barry did that milner did that bent will do that
  20. to be fair, our fans dont cover themselves in glory a lot of the time. i sure players are sick of being booed not that it's not deserved, but after a few games of that the players would probably start thinking "**** them, im out of here" instead of "im gonna do everything i can for these fans" We could have applauded the rocket polisher for 90 minutes each game and he still would've **** off at the earliest opportunity the ungrateful shite. of course he would have. sure he **** off to us as soon as he could thats modern football bent will be next, and people will be calling him all sorts, despite the fact that he did the exact same thing to sign for us. that's just the way it works you need to give your best players reason to stay, not expect them to do it because of loyalty

  22. downing deal done http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/latest-news/reds-seal-downing-deal
  23. Its typical of Liverpool fans that they think we would want him! seems a realistic one though. low cost, low wages, solid enough player thought relatively highly of by liverpool fans as a guy who'll put in a shift when needed. ticks the boxes if we're looking for back up in defence the more thought i give it the more i reckon the two players we're interested in signing on transfers are probably kyrgiakos and poulsen (if parker doesnt happen). neither are great players, but they'd be available for relatively little, and would fit in with our apparently budget cuts the loan, i reckon, could be ngog. mcleish has made it clear he doesnt want him on a permanant basis, but if we're planning on offloading heskey and sending fonz off on loan for a season, he'd be a risk free, low cost back up who we wouldnt be stuck with on the books. all completely baseless speculation on my behalf, but theyre the 3 that would make most sense we cant afford cole's wages, so it won't be him
