  1. I posted this idea at the early stages of this thread but i think it's worth another try.. I think it's decent and very easy to sing.
  2. What doesn't Delfouneso exist anymore or something?..
  3. Ashton, for me he'd be a perfect partner for Gabby and i think he's a fantastic finisher and can also link the play, i just think Mon could really take his game on too.
  4. You're on a yellow, watch your step - CV [On topic] yes i would shake Maradona's hand because what he did really doesn't bother me in the slightest, he tried something outrageous and got lucky, that doesn't make him a bad person, i don't agree that he's the "greatest player ever" but his contribution to the game far outways that one incident against England imo.
  5. The Shield, absolutely brilliant stuff, of those listed though without question it's Prison Break for me, and you could add The Wire too.
  6. Hi General In the light of the takeover at city and so many rumours around the futures of Liverpool, Newcastle and Blackburn for example i'd like to ask since Randy took over around two years ago has there ever been any interest in the club from others?, not asking for names or figures just wondering if others have looked at our clubs progress and became interested?, because even though both Newcastle and City were taken over much later than we were they've still had people interested in buying them out. And by the way i think you guys have done a fantastic job with this club thus far and this summer was brilliant.
  7. Ok you asked for it Bof .. well Outby claims Nathan isn't "good in the air" when i happen to think he's very decent in the air actually, his first reserve goal was a class header into the top corner away at our nearest rivals Reading and he's scored a few for the England school boys and the u18's, he even had that brilliant hearder saved in the first half against Walsall the other day, and the other things are Outby thinks he's not a "team player" and needs more "awarness" and i disagree, the kid takes up fantastic positions on the pitch and drops into the hole so brilliantly, to do that you have to be aware of whats' going on around you, i think the kid is just very confident in his ability so he tends to show his skills off, i don't think he's been greedy at all since he's started playing with the first team, he seems to grow in stature everytime he steps on the pitch now and that's very encouraging to see.
  8. As always Outby i disagree with a few things .. but yes not a bad effort sir, i really can't wait for the kid to make his debut in the league, i think the masses are gonna be stunned by what Nathan can do with his feet and the potential he has to make it to the very top.
  9. One i prepard earlier To the tune of the Carbone one we used to sing Delfouneso, oooooh Delfouneso, oooooh He plays for the Villa He's better than Drogba Delfouneso, ooooh Delfouneso, ooooh So you can keep Torres Delfouneso is the best. Delfouneso, ooooh Delfouneso, ooooh. And repeat I know it's not factually accurate at this stage but hey, what songs are? , i'd prefer an original one for this kid though, something new and fresh for our newest star in the making, i'm surprised he hasn't got one already to be honest, i remember Luke had one as soon as he stepped on the pitch on his debut against small thiefs.
  10. And likewise if you don't mind I'm just going to add a couple of minor corrections to your post: As above. Blandy
  11. its because they are clueless deluded chimps and cannot ever see anything their club do, as their fault... it is our fault that they cannot afford him, it is our fault that gerrard begged barry to join them, and it is our fault that benitez waffled to the press about where barry would fit into their side and "problems when your captain wants to leave".. well, you should know you fat muppett... wonder what this deal breaking down will do to gerrard after his very public begging for barry... What you have to realise is that for Liverpool, this has always been a win-win situation which is why Benitez allowed himself to become embroiled in it in the first place. I know this is difficult to swallow but you have to be objective to understand that the worst that can happen for Liverpool is that they lose out on signing Barry and carry on as before, whereas one of the clubs aspiring to challenge Liverpool are left with a disillusioned captain. You can talk about class and dignity and respect if you like and you'd have a point but recent history shows that these qualities don't win football matches and silverware. Rightly or wrongly, a lot of Liverpool supporters have got the hump with O'Neill, as many Villa fans have with Benitez. All I think is that both men have acted in what they deem to be the best interests of their club. But now Benitez seems to have other prioriites while O'Neill is still busy trying to sort out the Barry mess, some reds choose to interpret this as a victory in the battle of wills between the two managers. Let me apologise in advance for any offence this post may cause and Pablo - delusion isn't exclusive to Liverpool fans. The only "battle" that's occured between the two managers is who Gareth Barry plays for next season, and thus far there's only been one winner in that fight, Liverpool fans can claim whatever "victory" you want, but at the end of the day your club had ideas of pulling a fast one on us and have failed miserably, say your a "massive club" but when you've been pubically challenged to try and take one of our players you've failed to come up with the answers. That's another way of looking at it but there is still a good month before the window closes. And you've had two months to get the deal done, as the Holte often sings, WE SHALL NOT BE MOVED.

  13. And that Vagina belongs to the other member apparently!! .
  14. has he actually said that? I'd suggest that you retract that part, fella, as your evident dislike of the guy is clouding the facts. You do the math, and furthermore don't confuse comparisons with Yorke and not crying my eyes out if/when he eventually leaves with "dislike", it's a frivolous exercise. Hmmm. He has alos been quoted as saying that he can acheive his England ambitions whilst at Villa. at no point in that quote of yours does GB say he wants to leave Villa - he just says he wants CL football. Could equate to the same thing, but not necessarily. I think your dislike of the guy is clouding your judgement somewhat. I think we should wait to see what happens. If he goes, then feel free to have a go at him for doing so (although i wouldn't agree with you). If he stays, i think you in particular would have to give him some credit. Oh come off it, that's as big a hint of a possible departure as you can get, why didn't he just say he wants to stay and put an end to the speculation?, because that's not his intentions that's why, and please try and comprehend the difference between "dislike" and comparing his situation with Yorke's, these accusations are getting tedious now, especially with the lack of any evidence at all.

  16. Let me put it to you another way. If I go to work today and there's a fire in the office and I have the afternoon off, am I a bad worker for having the afternoon off? If I go to work today and start a fire in the office so that I can have the afternoon off, am I a bad worker for having the afternoon off? Dwight started the fire, he wasn't affected by the speculation, he nurtured the speculation, his bad performance was a choice, a protest even, he didn't want to play and whilst everyone around him did their best he did nowt. Barry has been affected by the fire, he's tried to play well, but been affected by outside influences and the press, he had a bad game in line with many of his colleagues as the whole team struggled against Wigan. I see all sorts of differences, and if you can manage to sneak out from behind your protective labeling of others and open your eyes, you'll see them too. Nice try but that was a crap analogy, at the end of the day if Dwight "didn't wanna play" he could have faked an injury or gone on strike, Dwight never started anything, Manure had been in for him the summer after we finished 4th and they were told to "get lost" and Dwight didn't kick up a fuss (Fergi confirmed that he had a bid rejected for him in a documentary about Dwight and Brian Lara) so in essence he stayed a few years knowing he could have gone to Manure, we then went backwards and he decided he wanted to play for a club challenging for the title, that's the bottom line, your acting as if he scored an own goal for Everton in order to get a move, at least we didn't lose that game, unlike the Wigan game, where Gareth's performance played a major part in us missing out on an automatic european place and now he wants out while we are on the rise, and again you completely fail to see the difference between going to title contenders (like Dwight) and going to our direct rivals (like Gareth intends to do), so in theory Gareth is effectively weakening our chances, but i guess the sun will always shine out of his backside as far as your concerned. ps: i'm still waiting for those quotes where i profess my "dislike" for Gareth.
  17. Oh look another Barry cheerleader , erm as i said you can't have one thing for Barry and another for Dwight, it's been confirmed by Mon that Gareth was effected by the speculation and therefore performed poorly against Wigan, so the specualtion had a DIRECT LINK to his performance, just like the speculation had a direct link to Dwight's performance at Everton, because you can't tell me he would have played that way had he not been linked with Manure, so what's the difference?, NOTHING, but because you and your pal think Barry is worth more than life it's self you paint a different picture, and excuse me i keep having to ask you this when you roll out that tired old line regarding me "not liking Barry" can you find me a quote where i've expressed those feelings please?, because i can't remember me ever saying i hated the guy, but just because i feel we can go on without him that's obviously a reflection of "hate" lol, at the end of the day i've only said that if Yorke was a much better player for us and still got booed than Gareth deserves the same, sorry if that doesn't fit into your dream of rolling out the red carpet and scattering rose petals on the ground for him as he steps off the scousers coach on his return. Do you read posts before replying? Are you a bit too quick to get your lovely smileys down and you start typing before you engage your brain? The difference has been explained but if you choose not to see it that's fine. I think your exaggeration there typifies your attitude and a reasonalbe debate cannot be had on the subject. I bet you were so pissed of when Barry scored at the weekend, because then you could have had 2 games where you could delude yourself into thinking he'd had 2 shocking games. Look forward to your reply, but get it right, I'm marketing director. But i've already stressed to you that the "difference" you put forth between Gareth and Dwight was futile in the extreme, and thus i render it bias speak from a Barry groupie, BOTH were effected by the speculation but that doesn't seem to register with you, and as i explained before Yorke left for a team challenging for the title while Gareth wants to join a team we are trying to catch, but yet Dwight's worser than Gareth?..hhmm yeah that makes sense "Mr director" .

  19. How on earth is it "different"? :? , Yorke was a much better player and was with us for longer, yes the Everton performance wasn't good but neither was Gareth's Wigan performance, there's nothing "different" about this at all, at least Yorke went to a massive club who were contending the title, while Gareth looks like he's going to the 4th best club who we have ambitions of challenging. It's different I'm afraid. Better player thing is opinion, Yorkie was so so sooo good for us, it pissed me off so much when everyone suddenly proclaimed Fergie as having found this great player when he'd just watched him banging in hundreds of goals for villa. Barry is great as well. Yorkie was with us for 9 years, and for the first 3 didnt really play, then he was a winger for a bit, then finally became a great striker for us. Gareth has been a pro with us for 10 years, and I'd say a fixture in the team for about 8 years. For about 5 of those years he's been excellent. Got into England team initially as a defender/midfielder, then was messed around a bit but always was very talented, since he's been in midfield barring DOL's first season he's been quality. He's played very nearly 400 games for us. Gareth wasn't that bad against Wigan I'm afriad. People can pretend to see what they want but he wasn't, the day before was the huge break in the Echo (I think that was the paper) about the bid, so it was used against him by fans with short memories. The team was so bad that day, but some seemed to need something to attack Barry alone with, this game was just what they needed. Yorkie would never have been that hated if he hadn't celebrated in front of the holte. So having him as a marker is a load of bollocks. He deserved the abuse he initally got after deciding to dance around in front of the fans who used to love him becuase he got a boos from some sections. Barry would not do that, if he did (or does), he'd deserve(s) everything he got and more. I can't argue with going to Liverpool though. I fully agree, there's not that much point in going to a team who are not THAT far ahead of us; if you're gonna leave, go to united or chelsea. I wondered how long it would take the chairman of the "Gareth is god" club to reply , i'd go as far as say it's a FACT that Dwight was a much better player than Gareth, i don't give a stuff about "opinions" because yours is awashed with bias, Yorke was world class and Gareth certainly is not, it's that simple really, and excuse me but Yorke wasn't in the press days before a vital game claiming "he'd have to be selfish" about his career either, he kept his mouth shut until the very end, Gareth is meant to be the "heart beat" of the team but yet he couldn't get himself and his team mates up for a massive game at home against Wigan?, it was a shambles and it's been confirmed that the speculation got to him, so what's the difference between that and Yorke against Everton?, at least Yorke going through the motions was in the very first game of the season and not a game that could have got us into europe, and it seems to me people wanna give Gareth a pass for his performance against Wigan but refuse to give Dwight one for his performance against Everton, like he couldn't be effected by speculation too, it's prejudice behavior, and your also wrong about why Dwight was booed, he was booed as soon as he stepped on the pitch and that was before the badge kissing incident.
  21. Exactly, Yorke done much more for this club and was on a completely different level to Barry and he got dogs abuse so the same must apply i'm afraid, or else we'd be a bunch of hypocrites, no player is bigger than this club and when he returns i hope the fans make that clear to him.
  22. One i saw on another forum To the tune of Barry Manilow's "Mandy" "Oh Ashley, well you came and terrorised the noses, and you blew them away, Oh Ashley, you are a true master on the wing, and we need you today" I think it's decent.
  23. Yeah Rev "you don't think it was close" but yet you said this by the 11th round, So i think you're telling a few Porky's , come on let's be honest now everyone knows Joe never won that fight, boxing politics gave it to him, Bernard was spot on with his comments after the fiight. I think you're a bit tired Hey everyone makes mistakes, just like those judges and HBO.
  24. Joe never won that fight, boxing politics gave it to him, Bernard was spot on with his comments after the fiight. Edited: yes Bob i am tired indeed.
