I used to work for OUFC a few years ago now and what struck me initially was if you are in the inner sanctum’s of the game peeps talk a hell of a lot from different clubs about other club matters regardless of the division and very open about these/all matters as you build a network of contacts etc ...

    He has just returned to fitness ... lucky it wasn’t his ACL , torn meniscus. He looks a better version of Wesley. Doesn’t fit with Dean’s hit the ground running comments so doubt it’s a goer now .

    You have to look at the defence he as playing behind some of those games, which doesn’t excuse all the soft shots & howlers as such but is a mitigating factor for me. let’s see how he does with Mings Engels etc before casting ultimate judgement on his ability? . I Wouldn’t underestimate the Cutler effect either. He may be shit but he also come good... I’m reserving judgement and for now and I’m just happy Heaton’s (unfortunate) injury has happened at the beginning rather than the end of the window giving us time... if butter fingers resurfaces

    We don’t have anymore spaces left in our 25 man squad so will players need to leave or be omitted for new ones to be registered. Is he worth a place though ? = IMO NO! Rather give our kids a shot over him. Plus I’ve always thought jack could do a job like Messi as a false 9 dropping deeper to collect the ball and running at defences pulling defenders out of position and leaving spaces for himself and others.

    Walter Benitez can talk to foreign clubs today about a summer bosman. Heaton shot stopping is first class but his distribution let’s him down and if he has done his knee badly then worth an enquiry surely this Jan. Alexander Nubel is sadly no out of reach As he too is available on a free in the summer.

    Drinkwater’s head has gone and he will end up down the path same of McCormack ... He is a busted flush living of a good 18months -2 years how many seasons ago... He may come good but for me it’s too much of a risk we need to find the next Drinkwater without the baggage.

    Taylor will be a defensive wingback to counter act jack’s and Guilbert’s attacking instincts. Kodija should be starting though over Wesley and I would maybe consider promoting Ramsey to the squad.

    It’s a real shame Robert Skov wasn’t signed and we got trez instead .... similarly available players in the summer .... he has been the biggest disappointment so far run close by Wesley but expected him to take time to settle. Trez just looks like he is a championship player and nothing more.
