  1. Absolutely atrocious Again, Newcastle players just stronger on the ball, faster running, and making the effort to get on the end of the cross
  2. Again Konsa and Luiz letting the ball past on that corner
  3. 2nd goal was a bit unlucky with the deflection onto the bar then it hitting Emi's back and sitting perfectly for the tap in But the first was just pure lack of effort - we had both Luiz and Konsa there and the Newcastle player barged past them both to get the ball. Summed up the half, just beaten in 1 on 1 battles all over the pitch. Unfortunately we can't hook all of those not pulling their weight otherwise we won't have a team left on the pitch
  4. Two set pieces Newcastle first to every loose ball Disgraceful effort off the back of a break
  5. Exactly what we've deserved for a pathetic, lazy performance 2nd best constantly Two of our players on the goal scorer and he beats both of them to the ball
  6. made the wrong decision every time we've got in their box
  7. Their biggest issue is that they've all lost individual battles every time, with the captain being the biggest culprit
  8. Some really poor passing so far, and losing the ball far too cheaply. McGinn has lost it several times already
  9. Nearly exactly a year ago we lost at home to Leicester, then followed that up with losses to Arsenal and Man City and lots of people were demanding we scrap any idea of trying to play out from the back, the high line etc with 'the players aren't good enough'. Didn't even take Unai more than a few months beyond that to get us successful at doing it. All systems have weakness that can be exploited, and can fall down if you have one or two players not on it in a particular game. But overall we are trending in the right direction. Next big step is being able to consistently deal with teams sitting back against us, will take some time to do that but if Unai and the team carry on as they have been we should get there.
  10. Yeah but on here anything less than steam rolling an opponent with Emi not having to make a single save is apparently poor. Check out any match thread and if we're not winning after 15 mins its a disaster. Man Utd was very poor, but games like Brentford, Everton, we actually overall dominated away to sides who had no interest in doing anything but playing for a point and injuring as many of our players as possible. Just lacking a cutting edge, which is not a suprise at the moment - Its nice teams are that fearful of us now, but its a tough thing to learn to play against. And it still happens to teams like Man City - last season we held them to a draw with Gerrard in charge, they drew at home to Everton, drew away at Forest, needed a KDB 25 yard freekick to beat leicester away, a last min pen to beat Fulham at home. Thats a team used to facing sides sitting deep and chock full of players bought for big money to unlock defences.
  11. Carrick appears to have been trying to sit and hit on the counter, but with a setup that has massive gaps between defenders, and no midfield cover except for Howson who keeps dropping in and then stepping up at the wrong time
  12. Bournemouth centre backs have been atrocious for both goals
  13. Results wise yes, although they were actually pretty good against Spurs and Man City, didnt get much luck. Sounds like they were very poor against Wolves though
  14. Cash is a moron Just talked to by the ref and 10 secs later he's flying into a ridiculous challenge
  15. He's somehow not taking chances to get forwards and also getting caught out of position at the back Both of Boros dangerous attacks he's in no mans land
  16. Lost most duels he's had and given it away repeatedly
  17. I assume Konsa got a yellow for moaning to this clown of a ref after he let another dirty challenge on our players go
  18. Why didn't he just tap it in the open goal?
  19. Unbelieveable how much Joelinton gets away with Same as Bruno, amazed he's actually been carded this game
  20. Spurs basically turn every match into a basketball game They can score easily, but give up good chances as well Bournemouth just havent been good enough in front of goal
  21. Be nice to stop doing stupid stuff at either end of the pitch Should have been out of sight before their 2nd, but some really poor finishing. Diaby and JJ had great chances where they didnt even make the keeper work
  22. Just like Sheffield game, pure pathetic laziness expecting Burnley to just roll over
  23. Disgusting effort Against 10 men Pissing around missing easy chances then route one and we concede Could Carlos have made any less effort to block that, then Emi beaten at the near post
