Used to be the other way round! We'd beat most of the poor teams and then raise the white flag whenever we played a top 4 team (with perhaps the exception of Chelsea).

Yes Petrov suspended for Burnley away I think. Beye suspended for Bolton but Cuellar would've come back regardless anyway imo as I'm not convinced by Beye anyway.

Why dosen't part surprised me! Part time footballer and shot at the highest level imo nowadays so I make Capello right on this and wouldn't take him.

Bottom line we won't be getting into the top 4 anytime soon with Beye, Heskey and Sidwell in the starting 11. We badly need a creative midfielder alongside Petrov in January. And looks like the golden age of playing 4-4-2 is over just as it quickly started.

Probably best for Stan to pick up a yellow in one of the next two games so we'll miss him for Burnley away which might not be his type of game. We'll certainly need him for Spurs at home the week after.

I would've played Young at Sunderland tbh.

I think Petrov will play alongside Sidwell in the centre, NRC on the right while also coming into the middle on occasions which would give Young a free role.

I think Beye may start on wednesday as he has games under his belt this season while Young still hasn't played a minute of competitive football. If Petrov can't make wednesday, I'd expect NRC to come back in.

Benitez was quite good I thought but exactly what I thought SHA were getting. Busy player who will stretch defences but wank finisher. I just don't get Cameron Jerome, terrible when in possession of the ball and dosen't score many goals, what is he good at?

Saha seems like he's been around and injured forever. Very good striker on his day though.

Piennar and Osman are both underrated imo although I take your point Trent they both prefer to cut inside. Happy both are missing tbh.

Very little width in that team, Cahill on the right of midfield, oh dear will struggle to time his runs into the box and our left side can exploit that.

Everton playing poorly, loads of injuries, conceding basic goals and we have a good recent league record at Goodison so all points to a..................................2-1 defeat. Got a bad feeling about this one for some reason, would be quite happy to take a point from this one and then look to win at West Ham and home to Bolton.

Everton are conceding some terrible goals at the minute really lack a number one centre half who can just head balls away all day long as Distin certainly isn't that type of centre half. Moyes missed a trick by not insisting on getting Dunne back in a swop for Lescott until Jagielka comes back.

I fear they'll beat us next week aswell despite our recent good record at Goodison. The bench they had today was incredible. Can't see Moyes putting out a competitive side at Spurs in the cup in mid week tbh.

But Spurs drew at Bolton recently and lost today at home to Stoke while City drew at Wigan so I do think it's knee jerk to just say becasue we can't win anyway at Wolves we won't finish in the top 6 as these sorts of results do actually happen to other teams. We'll still get 60 + points this season but this time more home wins than away.
