Finally after hours of scouring this thread (95 pages) I have compiled a list of the best chants. Based on originality, likeness to original tune, how easy it is to learn and also based on the number of people in the thread liking it.

Bear in mind chant is essentially music and is subjective but I have imagines the crowd singing these and they all seem to have the ability to be sung in unison and well if learned.

I know some chants we do sing I haven't put in. If you know of any please post below and will make sure I get them in there.

Hope you agree on the chants selected and that we can get them onto the terraces a.s.a.p

I really think we should now try to focus on the players that DO NOT have their own chants in this thread. Nearly 1/3 of this whole thread were chants for Ashley Young. As great as he is, we need to make sure we can belt out a tune to support all our players and not single anyone out. So I plead with everyone who looks at this thread to help me finish off this list so all our squad has at least one chant.

We are progressing well with getting chants for players, I think we need to try and get chants for our starting 11.

Once we have a confirmed list I am actually going to get them printed and hand them out.

Also for ones I can make some quick songs for (like my Forever Young song on YouTube), will also make a cd and get them out there at cost. I think I should be able to burn them and put them in a sleeve for around 25p.

Hi General,

I was just wondering how us qualifying for the group stages is going to affect the balance sheet at the club. Are we expecting to see a rise in profits/revenue as a result of these extra games that will no doubt be sellouts.

I have made a thread called "compiled chants" which is around somewhere, however we need more original material and a lot of the squad don't have a tune at all!!!!

Can we stop the music being played as soon as the final whistle goes? It completely ruins the atmosphere when we've won, we've got 'Hi-ho silver lining' blaring out while the players are coming over to the Holte celebrating and the fans are trying to sing the team's praises and sing Carew's name for example. Nobody joins in with 'Hi-ho...' anyway so it would be better to just let the fans sing and leave the music off for 5 minutes

Agree totally with this. It's as annoying as ITV going to adverts when you can clearly hear fans singing away. Villa Park has the potential to be a couldron of noise, we just need to get the right balance.

The Original song is by Alphaville. But i re-wrote the lyrics for Villa and also played in the piano, strings and did the vocals myself. It's only one take so could do a much much better version.

I voted for 24 purely because I only watched the first series two weeks ago and already half way through series 3. It's annoying at times but it makes it all the more brilliant because you are shouting at the tv

I have used all the colours I can get at the moment. Started with red and then to the unstable one. Then went blue and now on Gold. Apparently there is a black one which might make me vomit it will look so evil.

Firstly can I just say I am not a huuuge fan of star wars. I do like the original films and from what I have seen of the "new" films the special effects and fight scenes are pretty awesome.

I love my computer games, I used to play counterstrike source in a team and managed to earn a bit of money from it. I have had pretty much ever console going, Amiga 500, Commorode 64, N64, SNES, game gear, PS1, PS2, Xbox, Xbox 360, Game Cube.

This is the first star wars game I have ever bought and I have to say it's bloody awesome.

Visually it's stunning, everything from the scenery to the textures of the skins of people to the way characters move and the AI is pretty decent.

The combat system is very good, you can button mash to your hearts content or you can actually learn different combo's for attacks and force powers.

You can interact with the "cut scenes" when you are fighting a "boss" type character you can press certain buttons to finish them off. (If any of you had the Bourne Consipiracy you will know what I mean)

I think I am at the turning point in the game where you can start to make some decisions, I haven't completed it yet but I really am finding it difficult to find any major flaws.

The only one I have experienced is one level where I kept dying by falling to my death. Each time I had to go back and do 10 minutes worth of force destroying moves, to then fall down the same hole and do it all over again.

If you have a 360 and like action games then get this, you won't be disapointed.

On another note I need some advice from a true star wars fan......

Bearing in mind this was made by Lucas arts and will be staying true to the films and stories and factual information I need to know which lightsaber crystal will be the most powerful.

Gold, Red, Blue, Green, purple, yellow.

I know some are bad and some are good but just need to know which is the best to kick ass with.

Is the lower north stand open for all or is it season ticket holders?

I think you can get up to 6 tickets per booking. If we can work out which seat and row numbers to get can make sure I get tickets near you blackcountryvilla.

I think next season we should try and see if we can get a designated area of Holte or North stand for us singers.

I would be up for sitting anywhere where we could get some new chants going. How do you think we could get us new singers all together?

we are in desperate need of some new songs our current ones are old and dated also we need to stop singing about the blues there irrelevent to us now there in championship, sing songs to get behind the team.

that is the exact reason why I joined this forum. To try and get some new songs in the mix.

I think the people that are talking of getting new songs are the ones who are willing to get together to sing them.

How would we go about getting tickets in the same area of the holte end upper?

I know some of you will have season tickets but think we should try and get seats relatively close together somewhere so we can all have a good sing song.

I know championship clubs like blues allocated a section of their stadium to get songs going. I remember central news saying Blues allocated 300 seats for people that get the chants going.

Problem is I think they got it organised for season ticket holders only at the beginning of the season.

I want Newcastle to lose. The biggest thing about their club is their fans Beer Bellies. I hate Newcastle more than most premiership clubs.

In fact the only local clubs I hate more than them is Birmingham City & Coventry. I prefer West Brom to Newcastle.

There are lots of very average teams who have players who can change a game in a flash. Kaka hasn't been anywhere near "top 5 in the world" in quite a while IMO. Maybe upwards of a year. He may well turn it around, but no team can survive as a one man unit, no matter how good that man is.

They have a decent squad, but boy are they old. They should finish in the top 4 in Italy still I would think, but they won't get near the title. Liverpool are a good comparison, are Liverpool anything special?
