    That's not true though.

Realistically we "must" win one of those.

    Yup that is it really.

Spurs have 15 points available and we are 8 ahead with the goal difference.

If we win and Spurs lose one more game we are 11 ahead and spurs have to win their last four games in a row.... including City, who need a win to get the title.....

Not the greatest of games and Villa's inability to hold on to the ball was a worry...

I was praising Douglas Luiz before the game so sorry about that because he had a bit of a stinker.

Chelsea are a good team yet quite a horrible, Pochettino was moaning all through the game and I guess it influences their players too.

They are a very immature team and it shows. I’ve had lunchtime games at school with less testosterone kicking around than the chelsea team.

kicking off. Rude, Gallagher a ring leader, seems an absolute melt of a human being

Some are saying that Chelsea were very good - well we let them hassle us, bully us and tactically nullify us.

We had a bad day at the office and didn't play well when we had to play better.

Some are saying that with EMI still in goal we would have won - not sure to be honest.

Would we have won that with Mings, Yori not being injured, Kamara, Ramsey and Douggie on form ? - of course

It is what it is, 1 point instead of 0, play badly and not lose.

All this guff about spuds, games in hand means nothing unless you win them, they have some tough games against teams who still have something to play for...

That’s my take, we had a shocking day v Chelsea and got a draw. Shows how far we’ve come.

  4. Just got back,

the stats don’t show the story for me.

We let them get back in that, Chelsea had no right to. We were so sloppy in possession, unforced errors and lazy tracking back from some players. That’s why their possession was so high, not slick passing or build up play from Chelsea.

Watkins fed on scraps all game, we lumped it up to him god knows how many times, he must have been deflated at the end.

luiz and Carlos had nightmares today and thank god McGinn can turn on a sixpence because he got at least three hospital passes from team mates.

I just wish we hadn’t got more injuries to worry about, and I wish Konsa sparked out half their attacking lineup.

what I did see is that Chelsea are a very immature side, Gallagher as the ring leader but they are a rabble of talented morons… they won’t be top next year, no chance

Sort of but you can guarantee they will get those 6pts from the Burnley and Sheff Utd games and make up the goal difference too so we really do need to get more points on the board before we run out of games to do so.

Every point from now on is points Spurs need to get from the Top 3 and Chelsea.

If we draw with Chelsea then Spurs must do the same, if we beat Chelsea the pressure on Spurs is huge. they would HAVE to beat one of those four teams....

  6. We are 6 points ahead,

That equals the on paper wins for Spurs in Sheffield United and Burnley.

That means every point we get from here, Spurs need to get off the Top 3 and Chelsea, out of those 12 points, I cannot see them getting more than 5 points.

  7. With Spurs not playing until we have another 2 games completed Bournemouth is THE chance to really pressure spurs.

we play chelsea after which will be very tough and spurs have three very difficult games ahead of them.

being 6 points ahead albeit two games more means spurs have to beat 2 out of the top 3…. Good luck to them if they can do that.

What should the new stadium be called?

    I wouldn’t be adverse to

    (brand) Villa Park.

barcelone have Spotify Camp Nou. Everyone refers to it as Camp Nou.

i wouldn’t want to be (brand) Arena or something else

single word rather than two would be better, and a brand in keeping with our brand as well.

    British

    Heritage

    Quality

although not many of those left with the cash to do a ten year sponsorship for £20m a year. We wouldn’t get much more unless it was a full rename like The Emirates.

Softest booking for Luiz. Thanks you shit ref that had no control, let everything go against us in the first half then called everything for them in the second.

Absolute awful game, should never concede three. 4th still ours to lose but why do we have to make it so fecking hard for ourselves.

Tbf it’s in spurs hands now with their games in hand. Albeit their run looks very hard after Forrest

Neither could crumble. We could just both keep bobbing along in the same way we are now.

I don’t believe both sides will win all their “expected” to win games and lose to the expected top 3.

a side will drop points in a chunk in the last 7-8 games.

  11. Let’s make it pretty clear.

someone is going  to crumble, spurs or us.

we have Brentford, Spurs have Forrest, the Brentford game is probably our biggest, why?

because after that round of games if we are ahead I can see spurs crumbling.

Newcastle, City, Arsenal, Liverpool back to back…. Good luck to spurs with that run.

We have Bournemouth, Arsenal and Chelsea.

we could be 6 clear going in to May.

its going to be very close.

  12. First game this season I remember him having a shocker. He is usually an absolute rock at the back but he was completely off the pace today.

  13. Unai had a mare as did 80% of our team.

no urgency in the passing when on the ball, and where the hell was the movement off the ball? There was hardly a decent pass on all game.

basically like watching Southgate’s England for most of it.

February not looking good if we don’t seriously improve on that performance

I would hope that somehow on the quiet they've bought up any houses round Holte Road that have come up for sale over the last few years.

Always thought one of the streets could become gated and then sold as Airbnb style rooms around match days.

around the time the holte pub was done they could have started that.

We really don’t have loads of land. Outside of the immediate footprint of the stadium, it’s a shit hole.

Considering the development proposals had a box park style 1,500 capacity building bolted onto the north stand, I think we do.

we have enough room to expand to have a multi-storey car park and even a small hotel if we wanted to.

the car park, shop and surrounding location is massive. They’d get two skyscrapers out of that footprint in London.

I'd love us to move, I HATE that area.

It’s Aston, that’s where it is and where we are. The site is massive and we have loads of land.

we shouldn’t be looking at something new, we need to keep VP.

It would be acceptable to me if the new stadium brought more fans and kept the VP spirit.

One day we all move out from our family home. If the new house is better, why not? New memories will come in order for the house to become a home.

Almost every new stadium doesn’t keep the atmosphere. Hammers, Arsenal and spurs all struggled with it, plus villa park has more history and heritage than those three combined.

and we don’t necessarily need to if the planning and project is don’t correctly.
They need to get “proper people” on the job and not faff about releasing big press releases then reneging on it. That is amateur hour

  18. There’s absolutely no way moving from

VP will be acceptable to fans unless they plan on making tickets £10 a game forever…

they need to sort their heads out and get these plans agreed.

was exciting to see this when it came out and the back tracking looks embarrassing and shows a lack of well thought out  planning.
