As the year draws to a close 2014 has to be considered one of the best years of Cinema in a long long time. The best for me in no order: Wolf of Wall Street - Not only brilliant but one of the funniest films I have seen in a long time. Her - Truly superb. Film of the year for me. Boyhood - Loved it. Went a little under the radar for some reason but justifies it's plaudits. Dallas Buyers Club - This film was all about MM. Deserved his oscar. NightCrawler - A must see. Calvary - Best British / Irish film I have seen in a long time. Locke - How can watching a welsh man talk about concrete be so mesmerising? Tom Hardy talking concrete that's how. Gone Girl - The best villainous of the 00's. The Grand Budapest hotel - Magnificent. Best of the rest : Snowpiercer, Edge of Tomorrow, Dawn of the planet of Apes. Cant think of much else?? Only disapointment is that it has been a disappointing year for foreign movies and Documentaries. Would be intrested in reading some recommendations.

Night Crawler - 9 out of 10. Loved it! One of the films of the year easily. Gyllenhall is just perfect in this type of role. Added bonus was that the ending contained no stupid riverdance at the end or moronic jokes that idiots wet their pants at!...<sips tea>

That's cool, that's your opinion on the movie. But at no point did you liken it to a serious moment like "Luke I am your father" followed by Luke breakdancing. The movie was silly fun and some liked the dance or like me treated it like the miss jokes in Airplane, there were enough hits to make the overall ride lots of fun. How the film ends doesn't matter at all, it's all fun from start to finish. The film has a talking Racoon, Batista and Chris Patt in it. How could it not be fun. But yet I have seen posters on here comparing it to Star Wars and even seen one poster say it was 'better than Star Wars'!! That's some facked up shit. Anyway I thought you went on a rant ages ago about people discussing comic book films on the film thread?

That takes common sense. It's quite amusing to see donnie rage over what he considers kids movies. What grown man does that? What did you think of that scene then kurtangle? Did you think it fitted with the rest of film? No. But seeing as you felt insulted and "slapped in the face" by a "kids movie", I'm glad it was in there. But Star Wars is a kids movie. Imagine after Darth Vader telling Luke Skywalker he was his father, he then preceded to do a little breakdance. You wouldnt feel a little pissed off??

I'll be serious now, it's one of the worst moments in cinema history for me. Never felt more insulted by a director then that. By leading me on in believing I was watching a half serious 6 out of 10 Sci-Fi, it was a real slap in the face and waste of my 2 hours mainly because of that stupid facking scene.

It was okay for the first hour. A solid 6/10 semi serious sci fi. After that it turned into a joke. To have a sci fi film that we was lead to believe was for adults then disrespect any sensible grown adult with that stupid dance at the end (you know which one) was bordering on outrageous. How any grown adult can laugh at this film either is beyond me. 3/10. <sips tea>

Spot on. As great as Breaking Bad was it's utterly ridiculous to put BB on par with the Sopranos and the Wire. At times the show was bordering on ridiculous and contained alot of pointless, awful episodes such as The Fly. Disagree. Its not as good as Sopranos or the wire but it is most definitely on the same tier. Its absolutely superb television. Each to their own, but if you don't like it you're just wrong Beginning of my sentence 'As great as...'. Of course I liked it. Before the last season I would have put it on par with dexter and Prison Break but the last season was that brilliant it deserves to be up there with Boardwalk Empire and GOT. However as its so unrealistic, bordering on bonkers and as I sais before there are many woeful epiosdes early on its not a patch on The Wire or Sopranos. Not a chance.

I suspect that supernova26 is correct and it was a rogue advert. Does it happen when you access through other methods? Ive tried using chrome and the normal internet browser that is installed on Samsung's. Seems to have gotten worse the last few days. Always to the same two websites slimspots and gettinglaid.com. I have cleared my cache, cookies, etc and have no issue with any other site I go on via my phone. Sorry I didn't see this thread before, I only watch for new issues. Site is practically unusable for me. I keep being redirected most times to space spot and gettinglaid.com. I only come on here on my mobile using chrome.

I was at a house party the weekend with Hungarians, Polish, French, Spanish and a Korean lad. All of them can't get over how many immigrants are in this country. Ironic but true. FWW the Hungarians there were wonderful and warm, the Polish, as are most I've met, seem very weird, the spanish and korean lad were both decent. The french lad was an arrogant shit.
