  1. Some think it's his job. If I signed a four year contract and wanted to bail after one year... it's not gonna be a good move. It makes a mockery of having contracts for longer than a year.

  5. I lived in Salento Quindio for the best part of two months and heard of zero problems, that would worry us anyway. The only two crimes I heard of (and if you live there you hear everything, because it's a small place) were the coffee shop owner's car getting stolen but by outsiders from the capital city who had come for the festival (and to rob his car) and a pretty horrific murder BUT domestic in the rural area and therefore not a tourist worry. Loads of hikers pass through there and go off for long hikes in the mountains and have a great time. Heck, the hikers steal more than the locals in that place. You do have to be careful in the cities, but that's definitely the same in the UK
  6. I want to go back ever since I left. I have this fear as Xela mentioned that everything will be ruined by tourism by the time I make it back. Parque Tayrona is paradise, but it will be lost no doubt about it in the coming years. i'm likely going back end of the year or 2014...loved it. The danger is overhyped and the country is beautiful. And yes, everything is beautiful. So far it isn't ruined by OTT tourism either.
  7. Unfortunately a large percentage of this thread could have been avoided if people would stop letting the media wind them up. If there's no quotes, then it's all made up or at the very best they have no evidence. CB dropped a massive clanger. But I haven't seen one quote from him since. I hate the transfer request but the rest is pure speculation.
  8. This saga is a fantastic example of a few things: Greed Lack of Loyalty Fan insanity The media making stories out of thin air No wonder the Premier League is worth so much money.
  9. Can somebody just resume the FACTS please? AKA the confirmed quotes and actions. Because 99% of this thread, and other talk on twitter etc.. is basically overreaction and made up.
  10. I love the 5 year contract part of the "bid"... Ye because the 4 year one he signed with us means a whole lot
  11. My words werent in jest whatsoever... F**k him sideways... If he signs a contract, he should honour it... If we HAD be relegated and he had a release clause, BY ALL MEANS, we wouldnt have a leg to stand on and he could go.... BUT We weren't and he didnt... So he needs to shut up, pull on the shirt and put the ball in the net like he is meant to and his agent needs to help with sponsorship and whatever else it is that agents are meant to do without acting like overpaid pimps for giggalos in sportswear ............................. Ok so if you signed a My words werent in jest whatsoever... F**k him sideways... If he signs a contract, he should honour it... Be grateful for that and be happy we are getting big money to improve the team. He doesn't owe us anything. The other 3/4 of his contract?
  12. Poor chap can't have a summer holiday without losing fans.
  13. That's about the story I think. Brum has a large irish contingent so and of course is a uk city so they probably thought that's a good place to raise awareness. Did the job from what I saw!
  14. I had if at the start of my sentence Anyway look b23 avfc ....I didn't mean for my post to cause offence I'm not trying to be a dick if I caused offence with it I apologise No worries man, I just read it as you meant it direct to me. Fair play to ya
  15. Just watched Sound It Out (I think that's the title) on BBC Iplayer. It's about the last indie record shop in stockton teeside... Interesting if you're into record shops!
  16. And you know how england is, lack of tolerance and partial opinions. That's why I said some people might not like it. Believe it or not I was well versed by my dad when I was younger on a lot of the bad stuff england did to ireland. Heck I'm actually an irish citizen believe it or not. So no way am I saying I didn't agree with it. I said people here in some places might not.
  17. But I didn't say I didn't like it!!!!!!
  18. I don't get it. I didn't say a word. I asked who has an opinion? who cares about it? who doesn't? I just asked what people thought about it. If the topic touches a raw nerve then fire away and tell us. Sound. But don't take it out on me man
  19. I didn't say I didn't like it. I didn't give my opinion at all :S
  20. So I was in the city centre yesterday and saw the march for the Maghaberry prisoners etc... Who knows, who cares, who has an opinion on this? Nobody seemed to mind as it went through town (Birmingham City Centre for the outsiders). But of course, I'm sure the reaction would be different in other places. I'll be honest I didn't know much about HMP Maghaberry in N.Ireland.
  21. Watched it last night, typically shaky translation but nothing really lost. Scary times back then man. Colombia has changed so much since. Good Doc.
  22. I'm more afraid to post what I would honestly post in this thread
