    Wouldn't be the 1st time we blew a big points gap when in a champions league place... it would be all at our own doing this time, not down to Arsenal signing a goal machine and we signed Heskey So this would be much much worse if we let Utd catch us. Losing next Sunday isn't an option. We should have beaten them at Old Trafford. That was on the team! We let them back into that match. Yesterday's performance was a great confidence boost. Need the crowd in full voice Sunday, I think if we bring our A game they won't lay a glove on us. Sky and the rest of the media will be jizzing all over Manure in the hope they get the final CL place. They only jizzed over Newcastle because of the Saudi owners! It almost pains Sky to even talk about Villa in the CL. While to neutrals its refreshing and good for the game for a none scum 6 side to get CL.

    I really don't, I was confident of us winning the reverse fixture, 2 or 3 nil. How wrong I was! I know we can't keep playing like we have, but just shows how short of quality our squad is when we lose such a key player (Torres) for the way we play.

    That's what I fear, if they grab a quick goal and shut up shop we won't score. We don't have that player to unlock 11 players behinds the ball.

    Going to be tough, we are in a slump, I think this is going to be one of them games where we huff and puff but lose 1-0 . Then after the match Watkins gets pelters for missing his chances. Just seen while watching sky sports news that sky put an stat on for the game.. only PL side not to concede a pen... thats it then, guaranteed pen for Sheff Utd.

    Next 2 games are so crucial now. We need some momentum. But playing Sheff Utd doesn't fill me with confidence, they will just play like they did last time, we have no answer for it... then Man Ure. Watch them play like a prime Brazil again, while we just sit back in awe...

    Well the winners here are the media, they can now spank themselves off as the top 4 is full of their teams. They just hope we drop down to 7th so they can show the top 6 without Villa in it.... Waiting for the jizz filled special over Spurz and their brave high line, how they do it correct etc... Unai went on that winless streak with Arsenal and they pulled the trigger (Special bunch of fans and sadly some of our fanbase is starting to act that way!) We are going through a slump - but come on hand on heart at the start of the season was you really thinking we would be challenging for the champions league? i wasn't, we are at least a couple of years away with squad quality/depth! Our slump is a combination of teams now combatting our style of play and the lack of quality. Manager needs to earn his corn and find a way, but the signings point to the future not this season, so maybe champions League is out of our grasp. This is what will happen this season - we finish 5th. Then watch someone like West Ham win the Europa 5th wont get Champions league then - winners of the Europa will get that. Far fetched i know but that's our luck!

    This is one area we always seem to struggle. Just years of mismanagement, overpaying for players either in wages and/or cost. Paying high wages to entice players to come. Something FFP is coming to bite us on the ass with i think? FFP was always designed to make the top 6 a closed shop personally, any team that has an aspirations of making the top 6 have to sell their top talent while trying to compete with the sky scum 6 for a place in the promised lands. Yet the scum 6 can continually pump 150M a season into their squad. They have huge revenue from sponsorship, get big fees from their 'crap' players etc Look at Newcastle, for all that money they cant spent, they have to sell. As for us we face the prospect of selling Ramsey & Doug in the summer to make additions to the squad and keep in line of FFP.
