Not to worry, Kobbie "the human turnstyle" Mainoo will save the club.

We've had much better managers with much, much better squads, who never realistically sniffed SFs.
England as a squad are pretty overrated. The fact that we clamour for Ollie and Ezri to be in the squad kinda says everything. We have genuine World class talents in Kane and Bellingham, and depth at right back. What else? The likes of Luke Shaw, Rashford are massively overrated and often start for us.
-
He's clearly lost the dressing room, and his comments don't help around the whole feeling with him. I think he massively overachieved with a mediocre squad this year, and to be honest United are about where they should be this season.
Sack him and they'll likely end up at about Chelsea level because there's basically no quality in the squad.

What sets it apart from any other post apocalyptic thing? I've heard of the games but never played them.

We SHOULD have nothing to fear from anyone.
We SHOULD be the easy favourites.
France SHOULD be worried about how the hell they can beat us.
But we'll stutter through the group stage and first KO before losing to the first half decent team we get.
I've never understood this take. France have finished in the top 2 in 3 of the last 4 tournaments, with a second XI that is probably in the top 5 in the World.
I still think there is a general massive disrespect in England to other nations. Like at the last Euros when people complained we "only" beat Croatia 1-0. A result that was sandwiched between 2nd and 3rd place World Cup finished for this "old" team.

Watched out of morbid curiosity.
Blues started well, but after about 7 minutes they created nothing and Rotherham probably should've won. Abysmal football.

Nice assist from Jesus.
They've barely got out of 2nd gear yet and top of the league. Genuine chance to win it this season.

Throwing everyone up for a throw-in in the last minute is a bit mad.

Hes lucky that his direct replacement is the exact opposite of him and Dokus raw nature wont always suit the opposition.
This half time sub in whats already been a patchy season wont do him any favours though.
Give it time and Doku's natural instincts will be trained out of him as well.

Warsaw are really contradicting themselves with every statement they release.
First it was "Villa wouldn't let any of our fans in to the stadium, this incited the violence"
Then it was "None of the fans causing violence had tickets"
Now its "We returned out tickets to the host club"
So they didn't give tickets to their own fans, expceted them to be let in the stadium, but also don't claim them because they were ticketless and causing violence. What!?

I’ve just flicked on to ‘Saturday Social’ on sky sports for the second time since it’s replaced Soccer AM.
Now I get it’s not really aimed at me, it’s obviously meant to be for kids but still, it’s a total joke. The first time I put it on some months back they were ranking goalkeepers in the PL and didn’t even have Martinez on the board. Now this morning they’re ranking young English players and apparently after one appearance Mainoo (United) is world class. What a joke of a show.
Yeah, all these YouTube pundits think Martinez is massively overrated.
They'll spout stats for the likes of Onana, ignoring that Emi over the last 18 months is statistically brilliant.

Id rather than that blag his way to a semi final again and do some nonsense like cement his legacy
I don't think it matters who we get, people will rewrite history to fit the narrative.
Beat Croatia last time and they were 'too old'. Sandwiched between a 2nd and 3rd place finish at the World Cup.

I love Wes, but I really, really didn't like Asteroid City at all.
Biggest movie disappointment of the year.
I need to watch the other one he did, think it was a short. My dad said it was brilliant.
-
Got around to Asteroid City. Stylish and visually nice as always from Anderson, but from a story point of view I just didn't get it. Maybe I'm missing something, but I was lost.

A very solid year
Top Left to Bottom Right:
Dungeons and Dragons
Killers of the Flower Moon

Thanksgiving
John Wick 4
Past Lives
Air
When Evil Lurks
Saltburn
Talk to Me

The Royal HotelThought Saw X was good as well, I've been really disappointed by their recent entries so this was a nice surprise.
Across the Spider-Verse probably my favourite this year, but I've just not been able to see much.

"They advised the meeting that they would meet with their supporters at 2.30pm and communicate the decision at 3pm but advised there was a possibility that they would not accept the tickets. Despite repeated requests before and after the 3pm deadline for a decision, there was no communication until 4pm when Legia informed Aston Villa that they wished to receive their ticket allocation."
It's this bit I find so odd. Legia hav to ask their fans if they want tickets? Do Legia fans think that they can just rock up to a game and be let in without them?

You seem to be under the misunderstanding I wouldn't be happy with CL? I would. I'm just not obssessed with the bottom line, get as rich and as powerful as quickly as possible even if we win **** all in the process.
Everything is transient, nothing lasts forever, even if we spent a few years in the CL, that'll go, teams wax and wane unless they're bankrolled by a state. And you find it mental to take a cup win? There's more to life than money, just for the spreadsheet afficianado's among you
Agreed. I was 6 when webeat Man U and 8 when we beat Leeds. It saddens me that i more or less don't reremember '94 and barely remember '96. I want new memories that will last with me.

Had to pick this thread from page 3, behind Kortney Hause.
He slotted in quietly but seamlessly, looks disciplined and his distribution is very good.
Looks like a very astute loan move, feels like a very adequate Torres backup. Credit to him and to the recruitment department
Agreed. Made a few of those defence splitting balls inside the full back that Pau's brilliant at.

Spurs were also rans through the mod 90s and early 00s.
They most certainly have not been also rans over the past 15 years or so.
We used to be ahead of them most of the pre 2010 period.
That's entirely my point though. For what? In 10 years what are their memories from the 2010s? Losing a final? Beating Arsenal a few times? None of that compares to an actual trophy.

Thought he did a job well yesterday.
Loved him charging back the full length of the pitch to his own corner flag. Bags of enthusiasm.
-
Man U are involved, UEFA would make up whatever loophole they needed.

Trophy and not a second's hesitation.
Spurs made the CL a number of times, have had some of the World's finest players in their squad... for what?

Yeah was very weird and totally disconnected with reality. Winning 2-1 last night put is in a really comfortable position (we only need a draw in our final game to finish top, and even a loss would be fine provided Legia don't win), but they were acting as if it's now out of our hands.
I think even if we lose by 1 and Legia win by 1 we still win the group. Like you say, very comfortable position against a team that barely touched the ball in our half in the first game.

The police get a tough rap, but i think they did a great job keeping villa fans safe last night. No injuries to any fans, no fights after ko or after game. The polish fans removed after kick off.
Great job west midlands police
Well said mate. Superb job in a very difficult situation.
