Is it me or were the commentators tonight dreadful?
The way they kept banging on about us needing to win by 2 goals, suggesting we should push for it, nearly had me convinced we were going out

Can't wait.

I think he did look a lot less shaky last night, even when he did get pressed hard.

I would love nothing more than for Man City to be liquidated, but sadly I think the most they'll get will be something like a 20 point deduction.
I think this and a record fine.
The PL will then feel they've done well and lead with the headlines "City hit with record points deduction and fine". Neither of which make a difference, it's sad.

I've said it before but I genuinely believe if the full truth came out this would be the biggest stain in premier league history.
For the knock on effect they've had on other clubs, they should be stripped of titles and relegated.
Because they're scared of the rep the league will get, that's why they'll be leniant in what they request as punishment.
All football is corrupt and I think it's very naive to believe otherwise. The irony is that Italy gets the baddest rep for being corrupt... because they're the only one that is open about punishing clubs that do wrong. Absolutely no way the PL or La Liga would ever relegate their biggest club. Never in a million years. But for the want of punishing wrong doers, it gives Serie A a horrendous reputation. A reputation the PL doesn't want.

Not entirely surprising, I suppose. Hope they can recover from where they are.

I understand why Newcastle fans are frustrated, but at the same time it doesn't sit right that you can win the ball back by using your arm (inentional or not), gain an advantage and clear the ball.
I do feel like indirect free-kicks would be at least some kind of concession on either side.

Anything but removal of trophies and/or multiple relegations is kinda irrelevant and a very minor inconvenience.

I’d be happier if every single street circuit were removed.
Yeah definitely, but F1 seem intent on street circuits and wanting to push out the great old tracks.
I just want some kind of entertainment next year.

Need to get rid of all those pesky, historic, European circuits.

Yeah Max and Lewis had a battle like this last season or the season before. I think it was Jeddah but can't be sure
Was Verstappen and Leclerc, but yeah it was Jeddah. They both basically slammed their brakes on to be behind going in to DRS.

Does anyone know how the coefficient points work?
I saw after Tuesday nights games England got 0.35 points or so, for a win and a draw - whilst other leagues that had a win an a loss got a full 1.00.

VAR is a necessity I think. Referees have to go to the monitor to change so many decisions, because they get so much stuff wrong in the first place. The issue is with the nonsensical way laws are written, and the amount of grey area it causes.
Selfishly in regards to offsides, I think Villa would be much worse off if we didn't have VAR to correct poor decisions frmo assistant referees.

It’s a really bizarre situation, and similar to DdG last year.
The teams clean sheet record was decent, but at an individual level makes MANY individual errors.
It highlights how clean sheets and great goalkeeping are not as aligned as you might think.
Clean sheets are a team stat for me, even then far more weighted to your defensive unit than your keeper.

I'd definitely start Cash. Konsa has started both home games at right back and we've lacked a little something until Cash eventually came on. Not sure where Moreno is, whether he starts or not he needs some minutes though - same with Ramsey. Would like to see Tielemans and Duran in the XI.

All in all a very good show. Wasn't sure this kind of format would work to be honest, but it really does and feels more like a comic book on screen than the films do.
Was concerned about all this stuff coming to Disney+, but this and The Mandalorian have definitely made it a promising start.

He was about the only player that tried to run in behind when we had control in their half. Everyone else stood on their man waiting for a cross

We need a LW not a CAM. Because jack is best as a CAM. We play him in the middle and he can make clever runs and passes to unlock the defence rather than having to dribble through 5 players or play a hit and hope cross.
I think we need both to be honest. Jack drifts centrally often anyways and we still struggle to create in many games. I don't think having 2 creative players in the middle is the end of the World, particularly against opposition we dominate in possession.

Andre Green struggled to get regular playing time for Portsmouth in League 1, and showed far more than Keinan ever has. I think he's a League 1 player at best and it's pretty concerning that he's our 2nd option up front at the moment. We knew Wes wasn't going to be playing for a while so I'm really not sure why we haven't bought someone in. This is the kind of situation where a loan isn't a bad thing IMO.

Definitely not the problem. He will lose the ball, make bad decisions, but we didn't expect that we were signing Ronaldo or Messi. He's improved our first XI and after Jack is about the only player in the side that can make things happen on his own.

It is, however it is also about Macedonia, San Marino, Bulgaria et al playing international football.
I know it's difficult for us to comprehend, but Leeds vs Burnley is not as important to majority of the football world as watching your national team in Belarus or Latvia face France or England.I come from a 'smaller' footballing nation and trust me, it's all about the national team - that is considered the top of the football pyramid and brings a lot of national pride that is absent in English football.
So while it might be 'pointless' for England to play Slovakia, it's very important for Slovakia to play England.Spot on mate.

All 3 of England's games are qualifiers

I've never wanted a team to fail so much.

Yeah, he had a fairly rough first half. Well taken goal and minutes in the bank though.
