  1. Dougie for me. If he doesn't play, or has a bad game, we can be beaten by anyone. He's so fundamental to the way we play.

Think mentions for Ollie for his overall output, Konsa for (IMO) being one of the best centre backs in the league, an Emi for the amount of points he saves.

  2. I just think we were very poor from the off. We scored from 2 set pieces due to the worst defending you'll ever see, but did absolutely nothing from open play.

Saw a bunch of tweets at half time suggesting we'd played well but genuinely not sure what game they were watching.

Although they were offside a lot, they played so many balls over the top that they only needed a few to work. They snatched at a few chances in the first half, but were more composed in the second.

We didn't deserve anything and the scoreline flattered us. Just beaten by a much better team on the night.

As expected Rebel Moon was pretty meh. Didn't hate it but it wasn't anything special. Similar level as John Carter or Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets. Worse than Serenity but better than Jupiter Ascending. Or something.

A 5.5- 6/10 maybe with the usual slow-mo fights, shirtless hunks with oiled abs that you always get from Snyder and with a bombastic soundtrack that tries to make a basic story epic. Space Nazis are bad.

Was thinking of throwing it on, but not sure I can be bothered. I generally quite like Snyder, but his Justice League and zombie flick are historic levels of awful.

Can't appeal a ban due to a second yellow card (other than mistaken identity), so Forest get shafted once by a terrible decision, then again by a completely arbitrary restriction.

None of the rules make sense.

They couldn't review Semenyo's foul on Bailey being a second yellow... but they can review Will Hughes foul against Liverpool because it led to a penalty?

Either you can review fouls that aren't direct penalties/reds, or you can't. They seem to pick and choose random things and it's laughable.

    PREMIER LEAGUE RULES

    13.2 USE OF HANDS
Premier League teams may nominate 1 outfield player that is allowed the use of their hands in the penalty area. This is in additional to the goalkeeper who can also do so.

I found this in the rules and I didn't just make it up. As usual, the refs are 100% correct with every decision they ever make.

He took Everton to the Champions League qualification rounds where they were knocked out at the first hurdle. The season they qualified, Liverpool practically gave up and focused on the CL latter stages from April onwards. They also finished 11th the season after. As I said, he's a good manager that has a certain level. He's also failed miserably at Manchester United, Real Sociedad and Sunderland.

Barry was an outstanding player and then moved onto win the league at City whilst being one of the first names on the team sheet that season. When Moyes went onto 'bigger' things, he was awful.

Moyes was basically given no money. Wasn't his only signing Fellaini? Their struggled since, despite spending fortunes, suggest there's more serious problems at the club.

This idea that good managers must always be at top clubs otherwise they're not good, even if they overachive elsewhere is just a narrative I can not agree with. Very 'Sky Sports'.

Moyes is not an outstanding manager. Never won a domestic cup and won a European trophy that I would expect every English club to win (including us this season) given the relative strength of the English sides compared to the other teams.

He's a good manager to a certain level and managing a side to finish 7th-10th is that level.

This is so shortsighted. He took Preston from the third tier to 1 game from the PL in 3 years. He took Everton to the Champions League, West Ham to Europe and a European trophy. This is massively overacheiving.

Was Gareth Barry not an outstanding player until he moved to City and won something?

  8. They really, really need to clear up what a 'phase' is. More ambiguous terminology. They had possession for a few touches and then tried a pass which failed. To me that's the end of the phase as soon as we win it back, maybe I just don't understand.

  9. Can't really blame them for the referees decisions. They were mostly organised and to be fair they made some positive changes in the second half and had a bit of a go the last 15 and got their rewards. If given the choice between setting up defensively against a better team and getting a 1-1, or trying to outplay them and getting spanked 5-0, I know which result I'd prefer.

Quite like the club, as I do Wilder, always full of praise for Villa as well. Would like them to stay up myself.

Not good enough to start for where we want to be next season. Needs to be sold in the summer but buying or loaning in a starting RB should be a priority for us in Jan.

Not sure we need to sell him.

I'd argue the bigger problem this season is that we only have Cash at right back, rather than the fact we have Cash at right back.

  11. He was Sheffield United's best player in the first half. Unai clearly had a word and he completely changed the way he played second half.

But we are absolutely screaming for a right back in January.

What worries me is just trying to incorporate everything the fans want into a badge is how we got the Lerner monstrosity in the first place.

Fans don’t know anything about design. You need someone to make creative decision that, even if they sacrifice some things that the fans think they want, are better for the overall design

    Agreed with this.

Designing something by committee is rarely ever going to yield positive results.

  13. Maybe this should piss me off, maybe it's just me getting old.

Using initials for seemingly random phrases. I read on twitter that someone felt "Declan Rice is the best DM itw" and I suppose the fact I'm not annoyed by 'DM' is why this shouldn't piss me off. In football we know what DM is.. but why 'in the World' as 'itw'!? Might as well say "Declan Rice itb DM itw"?

  14. There's just not enough details yet about how it works.

The biggest issues I see are:

    National limits;
If there isn't a limit per country, you're going to potentially see 75% of the teams in the top 2 tiers being from England
If there is a limit per country, English teams aren't likely to get relegated from the bottom tier, meaning even if a different English team was to win 10 straight PL titles, they won't get in.

    Finances;
If there isn't a big financial benefit for teams to be in it, clubs from England won't join. Without English clubs, the competition falls apart.
If there is a big financial benefit, it makes club football pointless. You likely end up with a relative PSG in every single league in Europe due to the financial difference.
