  1. I think it's a fairly good measurement of depth of clubs, albeit only at the top end, and the PL is quite clearly ahead.

It doesn't measure outside of European performance, of course. But I don't think it's crazy to suggest that the likes of Chelsea and Spurs would fare okay against none-European qualified sides from elsewhere.

they don't have a top 4 squad, they subbed a 17 year old off for longstaff last night, lacselles was captain

howe overachieved getting them there, if they sack him its absolute madness, I've not really seen that much on it though outside of here? seems like a huge overreaction here linked to wishful thinking

It's a cliche, but definitely 'victim of his own success' vibes.

In to 7/1 from 16/1 last week and they are away to Man City next week.

I Still can't see the bottom 3 changing all season. They are three really poor teams.

Yeah I actually think Palace aren't far off the points they'll need to stay up already.

I would be shocked if any o the bottom 3 hit 25.

Grealish must be infuriating to watch for City fans. He never seems to take on defenders anymore and just passes the ball sideways.

He did to begin with. Then Pep dropped him and said he needs to learn to play the City way, basically.

They didn’t even fill the bench did they? Pep only did that to make some kind of point as well. Like **** they don’t have 9 subs available after spending billions and no doubt hoovering up young players for the academy as well.

Klopp seems to get more of the stick of the 2, but Pep is a massive rocket polisher as well

He's been the best keeper in the world for the better part of a year now.

Yeah but the YouTube experts say because he hasn't been tested in he Champions League,  he can't be.

That's one of his better decisions, most of their fanbase think Sancho has been a colossal waste of money and the stats back that up.

It's even funnier when you consider United were chasing Sancho for the best part of 2 years. It just shows that they didn't do their due diligence as apparently Sancho had a similar rep at Dortmund.

Pissed off hadn't seen non-Villa pundit mainstream or YT mention horrible ref decision for no red card for Semenyo but Mark Goldbridge does here around 4:51 I do rate him, covers us more than mainstream shite

He will say some things for clicks now and again, but I generally find him very balanced and a decent listen. He's more than happy to praise the likes of Liverpool and City, speaks a lot about Villa which is probably to do with him being in the area.

And he's about the closest thing we'll get to a real life Alan Partridge.

I’ve got a city mate who doesn’t even think he’s city’s best player (Rodri and KdB both better) and yet he’s finishing second in the ballon d’or. That suggests to me he is overrated by the broader footballing world

Rodri and KdB are certainly both more important.

Haaland finishes you the the chances you create, but if you're not creating a lot for him he literally does nothing as we saw the other night.

  10. He got lots of plaudits for getting battered by Chelsea. This was bizarre, and his response was really problematic "We'd play this way if we only had 5 men". Sometimes you have to manage games better, and he doesn't do that.

They're incredibly easy to play against second half.

I can't really agree with this, yes the media lovefest is irritating but Spurs squad is at best a 6th-10th place squad. If he finishes in that position it will be a solid season for them. United, Chelsea and probably Brighton and West Ham have better options than Spurs

In January when Son goes away to the Asian Cup they will be starting Johnson or Richarlison up top and played a bunch of full backs vs us

I don't know about this. Outside of the number 9 position they're very, very god everywhere.

  12. There's been a lot of hype around his on the ball ability for a few years, and he's so much better than all the hype. Probably one of the signings of the season for that price.
