    You're dreaming mate. Paul McGrath was simply the best footballer I've seen in claret and blue in more than 30 years of watching the Villa. Mellberg simply isn't fit to lace his boots. The people who voted for Mellberg must be either deluded or never actually saw McGrath play.

    General I've seen that some fans on here are claiming that the season ticket price increases are "modest". Well I couldn't disagree more. A lot of fans have not yet realised that there is now no "Trinity Wing" category which means that anyone sitting in the wings of that stand will now have to pay the same price as the best seats in the stand behind the dug out. How can the club justify such an increase? This season I paid £425 for my ST but next season it goes up to a whopping £510. I will be renewing mine but I know of others who have now been priced out of the Trinity. An £85 increase is very very steep.

    General, I was fully expecting a price rise for next year, but what I didn't expect was for the club to scrap the "Trinity Rd wings" category (slightly cheaper than the "middle" category) and just have one Trinity category to cover the whole middle tier irrespective of where you sit. That means my season ticket has gone up from £425 to £510. That's one hell of a price rise General, and an unfair one in my opinion. An £85 increase is a hell of a lot of money.

    General, the mosaics are beautiful. Now if you could only persuade our Randy to dig further into his pockets to splash out on some stained glass windows for the Holte End you'd make me an even happier man than I am now. 8)

    Spot on Chuck. Chants and songs are the FANS job, not the club's. The day when the atmosphere at Villa Park is artificially engineered by the club and not the fans will be a very sad one for our club.

    We already did it when we did the double over them before. As you put it very small time, but i think we would be above that under the current regime Ours was an end of season DVD which covered games against SHA and WBA. A bit of a difference from SHA's effort, but you still have a point.

    His Dark Materials are some of my favourite books of all time, and I just know I'm gonna be dissappointed with the film. I suppose you get what you deserve when you get the director of American Pie to direct a film of such a complex and brilliant story like Northern Lights. You reap what you sow, sadly.

    Lets hope this story of the £55 rip off gets into the press so we can bring as much shame onto Small Heath as possible, because they most certainly deserve it. Especially after Gold's sickening comments yesterday. That really does stick in throat.

    Fantastic post, I agree with all of it. The new Trinity and it's fascade has been buggimg me since it went up. I really hope Randy and co have something up their sleeve to add to the new stand to take away it's 'tackyness' and return it to something like it's former glory. I look forward to reading what the General has to say about this.

    Perhaps something like at Preston North End...Where they have images of past club heroes adorning their stands... With respect, that's horrific. Please General none of this tacky tasteless nonsense. Villa Park should never be defaced by having someones face adorning the seats, no matter how great they were for our club.

    Why wasn't that posted immidietely after Fitzgerald made those comments? Then maybe the fans expectations wouldn't had hit the feckin roof. The cynical side of me thinks we wouldn't of sold as many season tickets though.

    Oh don't you worry General, we'll all our tickets for the Sty, no matter how much the tramps charge us for tickets. There's always more who'll want to watch it at Villa Park though.
