  1. If Carlsberg made finals...
  2. I don't care tbh as long as Chavski don't win it...they don't deserve to be in that very exclusive club just because they have a rich sugar daddy
  3. Thanks for the reply General. Are you watching/listening to the game by any chance? We're playing very well but very unlucky
  4. At the risk of spamming...in case people miss it: I've got a thread with lots of photos of America and Canada in (basically just about all of America lol) Here!
  5. Good call! It would give some of us (who can't afford the trip to the States) a nice away trip which I'm sure would have a big following.
  6. A few pics of me on my travels around USA/Canada At Niagara Falls At 'The Bean' in Chicago Corn Country Glacier National Park, Montana Me with Jimmy the Navajo Guide in Monument Valley That'll do for now lol
  7. hear hear... the white strands in my hair (that I dye :winkold:), I have been told are down to vitiligo but I'm 99.9% sure it's down to the football!

    Better or Worse?

A lot better, I firmly believe if we'd had been stuck with DOL we'd be down the bottom 3 by now.
  9. and once answered a telephone in a hotel in brum. Possibly. At least there's a possibility of him answering a phone rather than the 0% of him being a Yardie
  10. According to the Sun newspaper he is
  11. Yardie eh? Great posting as always (sorry mate but I don't agree with your post again seeing as you can't give proof but on personal opinion) Do i need to put IMO on every post for all the dullards? If i was in the pub, and i passed comment that Defoe was a yardie scumbag, Would you stop me and ask if i had any proof to such a thing? So if i was to go into the pub and mention about an irishman and say he's an IRA scumbag, would that not cause offense? Get a grip mate.
  12. Yardie eh? Great posting as always (sorry mate but I don't agree with your post again seeing as you can't give proof but on personal opinion) I agree about Nugent tho, I'm glad for him as he shown hunger and desire and the will to score a goal (much more than just about all england strikers lately tbh). I also don't rate Defoe, given the service he's a good player but not magnificent as some people would have you believe and tbh not good enough for england (then again just who is good enough seeing how shite we're playing lately?)
  13. Not really a blog but my site is full of travels covering just about all the of the USA and just about all of Canada as well as jaunts working in summer camps in USA and volunteering in Peru and travelling through Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia (hence my name lol): Clicky! I've got some ace photos (if I do say so myself) of just about all the National Parks in USA including Monument Valley, Grand Canyon, Yosemite, Yellowstone as well as all the major cities in the US, including Vegas etc So if anyone is planning trips over there it's a good little reference as to what to expect. Also got lots of Canada covered (Quebec is just lovely, Vancouver is out of this world and the National Parks are amazing) and a lot of the national parks in Peru. I do have forums and other bits and bobs on there but tbh I don't keep it upto date so it's really only kept as a photo album (although I do get a lot of friends still registering for the forums...mugs lol )
  14. Seems he's gone into the post-match press conference and told them they've printed all they want this week so bugger orf and walked out. Queue the slagging tomorrow...
  15. Xenophobia: A pathological fear or hatred of foreigners I know it's certainly not xenophobia the english fans have when they say they want an English manager. England is not a racist, prejudice or xenophobic country. I won't go into this into much detail (as this isn't the thread to do it in) but I think you'll find England is the most appreciative and accepting country you're as likely to find in the rest of europe, let alone the world. As for football? Well Sven wasn't vilified and he wasn't English so what does that tell you? The English game and in particular the English national team is full of history and tradition and it's to no surprise that most english supporters would like an english manager full of passion and ability. You have to look at our national history....even down to the "British Bulldog" Winston Churchill (I know groans and more groans but it does make a good point). We're a nation full of pride and reflect on our national history. Is it wrong to expect that the English National Team to expect an English Manager full of the ability and spirit that has kept the English people in regards for the past bugger knows how many years? An English manager who instills into the players the British spirit and what it means to win as English people? That is a manager full of passion for his country and his fellow countrymen? There is absolutely nothing wrong in being patriotic. I know, let's vote in a foreign Prime Minister :?. I know one thing for sure...it IS NOT XENOPHOBIC FFS. I would equally welcome a manager full of passion and ability (as I'm sure most England fans would) who isn't English but would get us results. Anyway, herein lies the point I'm trying to make...you can't label people who want an English manager as xenophobic, far from it. It's quite wrong to do so imo.
  16. I agree with that 2nd quote... the press should be on your side at the end of the day. Keep them happy with results and the english people will be happy which is the most important thing. The game is based on results as well as the media but I think the hand the media play is very important. Tell them to take a walk and they will be against you from day one which would make life difficult to say the least. Look at the way McDonut has been fined by merely failing to turn upto a press conference in the past few days. It won't work.
  17. Sorry mate but I fail to see the point you're making here?
  18. Nugent goal (should have been Defoe but great to see the hunger when he nicked it )
  19. "is it too much to say Gerrard has kept "McDonut" in a job"? Contrary to what Platt says...no Martin it is not.
  20. Depends mate as nobody knows how long it would take Big Phil to pick up the language for a start. Personally I think the FA dropped a bollock by not appointing him but there's nothing to say that he would have failed to pick up the English game properly. he can speak english and Big Phil is only an example Guus Hiddink was also available, at a price ... I agree Hiddink or Big Phil would have been a 1000% better than this clown, but there is nothing to say that Big Phil couldn't quite handle the English game (media included and that is what made him pull out in the first place) and tbh there is no way the FA could afford Hiddink now. Crozier was brought in as a financial reconstruction expert (the FA were in dire straights frankly), he stabilised the books and then they made the same mistake again by the fiasco in Wembley and then there's the obscene payments to Sven (which we technically still are employing) .

  22. Again...England have Gerrard as the only person doing anything. It's blatantly obvious Gerrard is happier in the centre. Not so sure that changes the McDonut saga however (as somebody is bound to say) as the performance has been shite still albeit from one star man who does the stuff he's doing now week in week out for Liverpool
