  1. For you information General, there are brand new Nike stores open in two of the biggest malls in the World out here (Dubai), and they do not stock the Villa kit.
  2. I love deep threads like this I figure that if it is possible, there will be need to be two devices, one either end (such as a phone or computer) and this is why we have not seen time travelers from the future yet. As someone mentioned earlier, people were saying the Hydron Collidor may be one of these devices (with the potential ability to create a worm hole) ...if only they could get the damn thing to work.

  4. Excellent thread... I love this kinda stuff. Wasted a whole morning for me.
  5. Hmmmmmmm Not very well off at the moment, few money worries and working hard for peanuts, but doing a job i love (sailing instructor) so cant complain...its not about the money for me, I'm fortunate enough to have the financial lifeline of my parents if i really start to struggle. Never had a serious relationship, but doesn't bother me too much...I'm 25 so still time. I still have a bit of fun here and there and I will know when the right one comes along. As well as my housemates and other local people, got my brother and our 2 close mates who we have known since primary school..always off on holidays and meeting up. Would like to know a few more people in the local area...then again most of them end up being morons. Family life is very solid. Living in a shared house in newquay which is a good laugh. Also have my own investment in Dubai in the form of a studio apartment...so happy there. I consider myself pretty healthy, although i know i don't eat well. I can be a bit lazy at times...especially when it comes to cooking. I feel i'm in decent shape and im always active. Spirituality? n/a. 8/10
  6. but still feel the need to comment?! Theo for me.
  7. for **** sake, one loss and suddenly we get an 'mon out' poll. give it a rest for christ sake and show some support when your team needs it most.
  8. Wedge, in literally the last post before yours the General says:
  9. Fantastic result and performance today General. Delighted to see Randy in the stands, I bet he was enjoying himself. Keep up the good work.
  10. General, haven't seen this mentioned yet on this thread so I would just like to voice my appreciation for the new website 'A Night To Remember'. I think this is a very good idea and watching some of the clips on there certainly brings back some memories and ups' the heartbeat slightly. It's good to have somewhere to group all the videos together, rather than spotting them scattered around on YouTube. Just one suggestion, perhaps it would be an idea to put a brief caption alongside each video, explaining the history and significance of the clip? I know this is on the main site with the news post, but it would be easier if it was alongside the vid. Many thanks for your continued posting on this site and I couldn't be happier with everything at the moment. UTV
  11. General, Would just like to make a quick comment regarding the mosaics that are currently being made to replace the ones that were trashed when the old Trinity was demolished. From the pictures I have seen they are going to be very impressive and a great addition to the already excellent signage we have around the ground. Could you tell us where you plan on situating these? Will they be in a similar position to the ones they are replacing? This is yet another example of the excellent work being done by our chairman and I couldn't be happier with the way everything is going right now. Thanks General, Randy, MON and everyone 'behind the scenes' doing their bit to restore the glory we have been deprived of for so long. :notworthy:
  12. Careful, you know what these military-types are like...
  13. Sounds like you are a very busy man, which makes me even more greatful for you giving up time to deal with us!

  15. Any chance of a stats thread about the youth team from anyone in the know? Otherwise if anyone has got a link to the table it would be appreciated
  16. General, When you offer discounted tickets in an effort to attract new supporters and then you receive comments like the one 4 posts back, you must feel that you can do no right! I for one am greatful that the club is now prepared to be so generous and make offers such as these.
  17. On a side to TrentVillas comment, I rang the ticket office to try and get some tickets and they said Wigan wern't going to give us another allocation...however with a bit of pressure (they wont fill their ground) im certain they can be persuaded to give us some more tickets.
  18. Hi General, I'm a lifelong Villa fan and Retained Firefighter in Stratford Upon Avon, Warwickshire. I'm not sure if news of the tragic loss of 4 Firefighters at a Warehouse blaze in Atherstone on Stour has reached you, but as one of the lads was a Villa fan, I thought I should bring it to your attention. We attended the fire on Friday night and at about 7:15pm 2 Firefighters from Stratford and 2 from Alcester entered the building and became trapped inside, tragically only 1 made it out, although he was pronounced dead at Warwick Hospital shortly after. For five days after the incident we have been searching for their bodies in the mangled steel and debris that remain. We were finally able to carry our crew members out of the building yesterday evening as 200 other Firefighters formed a guard of honour to pay their respects. The support and tributes have been amazing, this incident has affected so many people not just in the Midlands, but all around the country and even the World. The Firefighter who was pronounced dead at the hospital is named Ian Reid. He was the nicest bloke you could ever meet and he loved the Brigade. He was also a big Villa fan, and even though he could never get to Villa Park due to other commitments, he would always talk about the weeks result or upcoming fixtures with passion. I think it would be touching if the club might organise something to be sent to Ians family- he leaves behind his wife, Julie and their 11 year old daughter Sophie who loves Football and plays for a local team. All the lads will be missed hugely and I think it would be touching if avfc were to make some kind of gesture in remembrance of our fallen brother. I shall leave this with you and your team in the hope that something can be organised. Regards, Ashley Skett
