  1. Solskjaer is not at Molde training today,Moldes spokesman says he cant say anything about the OGS situation...
  2. OGS and his wife is rumoured to be on the plane says someone who works at the airport.
  3. Today is Norways national day, is a holiday wich is celebrated all over our country, people are having a beer or two and are propably drunk and busy My opinion is that my initial response were that its too early, but as the evening has passed im more optimistic that OSG might be a find, young, ambitious, attack minded but not gung ho, smart and has always been a model professional on and off the pitch and he knows the English game. I think the possibility of again making our team entertaining to watch again far outweighs the risk of the apointment. After all its about entertaining us/the fans.

  5. It is a norwegian wordplay, difficult to translate. But its like: With OSGs special skills (finishing qualitys) even Heskey will be as good as new. I dont think its possible to translaye it directly
  6. Dagbladet.no norwegian newspaper have been told that the plane had another landing in norway before landing at Kristiansund airport, dont know why they made an extra landing though.
  7. OSG quote of him staying at Molde was indeed about the wolves apointment of Solbakken, but OSG made the statement last Saturday, OSG has earlier this year been linked with Blackburn, Portsmouth and Wolverhampton according to norwegian media.
  8. Dagbladet.no confirms by the chief at kristiansund airport that the Aston Villa plane landed today, surely its on. Link: http://www.dagbladet.no/2012/05/17/sport/fotball/premier_league/ole_gunnar_solskjer/21645445/ Bonus for us norwegian fans, massive media coverage and more games being shown on the telly
  9. Norwegian media claims OSG has said earlier he will stay, but it seems to be more than rumours, plane spotted in kristiansund and so on. I have actually been thinking he is not ready, but as the evening has passed im getting warmer and warmer to the idea. Playing style, attack minded, running in backroom and crosses from the sides, depending on players available of course, but not any gung ho style, i believe he will adopt and change during a game. Extremely positive, he is one of the best clinical finishers ever to play in the PL, maybe he can get the best out of Gabby working on both his finishing and positioning. I dont know much about his backroom at Molde but i believe his assistant is Mark Dempsey a former Man- Utd. coach. He has two videoanalyst their boss (3 analysts), else is standard (information from Moldefk.no)
  10. Ok, im from Norway, right now i would have taken Solbakken, the new wolves manager over Solskjaer as he has proved more and actually got Copenhagen into champions league. Solskjaer has done a good job at Molde wich indeed is a small town but also has one of norways richest men giving them money. Solskjaer used a lot of money considered it was the norwegian tippeliga, but when that is said he bought young and talented players so i guess he is building for the future and that is what we should be doing. Still i dont think he is ready for the PL for the time being. Many years ago when Wimbledon played/existed in the PL they got Egil "Drillo" Olsen as manager, besides Nils Arne Eggen, the man who got Rosenborg famous and in the champions league year after year and had wins both against Real Madrid and ac Milan, propably the man who knows most about football in norway and the man who made the Norway national team great in the 1990s and a lot of players into the PL. "Drillo" didnt make it and Wimbledon got relegated, sucsess in one league and for the national teams doesnt necessarry mean sucsess at a different league or even time. If you want a norwegian manager you should go for Nils Arne Eggen he would make every player play in black soccer boots with white logo, he demanded that of his players in his legendary Rosenborg era.
  11. Solskjaer has had one good season with a lot of money to spend (relatively in the league) and not a great start this season. I think there are better options out there, dont rate him yet. I rate wolves Solbakken higher amongst the young norwegian manager at the moment, Solksjaer needs more time to develop his own style.
  12. Solbakken, did a good job at Koln, no one keeps that job for long. Did well at Copenhagen and got them into champions league... My first choice would be Marcelo Bielsa, does brilliantly everywhere and would bring excitement and exciting football (what i miss the most) back to our team. He is great at making teams push over their wight class. But i guess Athletic Bilbao wouldnt let him go.
  13. Solskjaer isnt good enough yet, has potential but needs to show more to convince me he has what it takes. Norwegian Tippeliga is not all that and he is still young, maybe in a couple of years Solskjaer is resdy for this level.
  14. It has more to do with Maradonas choice of squad, he could have had Zanetti, Samuel and Cambiasso in the squad, they all won champions league with Inter that year. He choose not to, he only focused on attack...
  15. Treatment if all goes well and his body responds to the early intensive treatment and he gets remission is at best, at least 3 years. If the intensive treatment doesnt get him into remission he needs bone marrow transplant and i think it shortens the treatment period. Initial intensive treatment is about 4-5 months a little depending on how youre body react, how sick you get and... i had to have surgery so i had a break in treatment before i could start the long time treatment, they cant perform surgery while in treatment because the body will not heal itself (low number of bloodplates and high risk of infections). Long time treatment is 156 weeks (13 rounds each lasting 12 weeks) which is a mix of trips to the hospital once every week the first three weeks for chemo therapy in the vein and at home rest of the time with pills. First three weeks of the 12 weeks you get stereoid treatment to protect the body from infections, this will make you gain weight. Also you must go to the hospital and have blood tests almost every week in the beginning, after some time when the blood values get stable you dont have to be tested so often. A part of the treatment is 13 injections of chemo in the spinal fluid, they take some out and replaces it with the same amount of chemo (metotrexathe), this is to protect the brain and is also one of the reasons of the much higher survival rates for leukemia now. Twenty years ago leukeamia was almost considered a death sentence. Bone marrow testing and these things hurts like a mother but it lasts only for a couple of seconds, they make sure that you are numb before they drill the needle through your bone, it is really only the part when they suck out the bone marrow that is painfull, but that is really bad but only lasts a few seconds. They usually take bone marrow from the back/hip bone (dont know what its called in english) or from the chest, from the back/hip ismy preferred location, from the chest is bad and really too much in your face as they drill the needle through the bone. Hope this made any sense, its difficult in english.
  16. I dont think there are many options, Gabby deserves it, loyal to the club and done the grades in the club. I guess Dunne would be an option, but he is injured. Since Given only been here since the summer the only other option would be Collins, and he doesnt seem like a fan favourite for the moment so...
  17. Wolves not so many, others around 33, wigan 36 and stayed up. I had us getting some draws
  18. Took the prediction thingy, Qpr-Bolto- Wolves down, Wigan survived again and with points to spare...
  19. Actually does Petrovs health and strength give him a better chance of surviving. This is because a young and strong body can take more/stronger/harder chemotherapy treatment than someone who is not so strong and this will help the body to remove the false cells faster and keeping them from starting to reproduce again. The reason that a person gets so sick and weak during chemotherapy is that the chemo does not only kill the bad cells but also the good cells that the body needs. Myself i will if all goes well be finished with all my chemo December 19th.
  20. Best of luck for Stan Petrov, he is a great role model who always gives his best. You have a hard fight in front of you and you will need a lot of patience because the treatment takes a long time. I have not read every page on the topic but since i have been battling acute leukemia myself since July 2009 i might explain a bit about the treatment for you. There are two main types of acute leukaemia, aml and all, i dont know much about aml other than it has a lower survival rate than all. Some further testing will tell wich type he has. All is treated with chemotherapy after a plan that is called Hammersmith 82. The treatment starts with three intensive periods with chemo, these go over several weeks and togethet almost takes half a year, this will make you sick and in much pain, i almost had too learn to walk again i laid in bed for almost one month. This is the length of many cancer treatments and after this is when the patience part comes in to play. Hopefully these intensive cures will put your body into remission and you can continue with the rest of the treatment plan. If you dont get remission the alternative is a bone marrow transplant. The rest of the Hammersmith 82 treatment plan consist of chemo, mostly pills for 13 rounds each lasting for 12 weeks, a total of 156 weeks. The best possible outcome you are looking at 3,5 years of treatment. Acute leukaemia is a condition where the bone marrow produces false bloodcells, these are empty and they take over and replaces the cells that has a job to do, jobs like transporting oxygen, fighting diseases and more. These false bloodcells takes over the body rapidly and if untreated you will be dead after four months. Hope this makes some sense.
  21. I just really want the team to play good football again. I dont really care anymore if we win or loose (ok i really do), but i miss being entertained and feeling excited of the way they play. I miss the times when Villa would push forward and wave after wave going forward... Fullbacks attacking and you know, exciting football. I am so tired and bored of this lets defend for a draw bs. As a player this has to be so boring, i am pretty sure this is not the reason they spent hour after hour on the training ground as a kid... It is ok if we dont win every game, but let us play with some style and in a way we can be proud of, let us be entertaining and maybe we win a game or two also...
  22. I think when the decission is made and we have a new manager, who ever it is, we should support him. After all we dont support any single player, manager or club owner, what it all comes down to is that we support Aston Villa and we should do that regardles of who is in charge. Giving the manager or the team a hard time will only hurt our selves in the end, we should support them and give them confidence and cross our fingers and hope for the best. We might not be happy with the appointment, but as Villans we still need to back up the players and the club, why should anyone want to come here, the supporters are never happy no matter what, you do one mistake in a game and every one is on your back for it the rest of the season.
  23. Well at least we know what we got... And it saves the wear and tear of the chairs... No signings because the chairs are being restuffed
