  1. I want someone fresh, who looks forward, has a clear style of play, tired of our attack looking like they dont know where to run. I really just want us too have a plan behind what we are doing beyond long ball up front, loosing it and being put under pressure again (this looping for 90 minutes + added time). I dont demand us fighting for europe spots as long as there is progress in our style of play and that we actually try to win games.
  2. Angan is a far better finisher now after working with OGS than he used to be, he is kind of a less talented Gabby. Fast, strong and gets chances but after that everything can happen.
  3. Better than 15th, playing more attractive football and actually trying to win games. Overall getting some positivity back to the club.
  4. The ad at the top of the page for me is for "NKI fjernstudier", they offer online schooling, so i guess my english is that bad.
  5. Norways most popular band is DDE (Devils Death Ensemble), they are really evil, check them out at youtube and your heads will spin
  6. In the 80s aHa, middle of 90s -> present day OSG I think that aHa actually might have been more popular in the rest of the world more than over here. aHa have had multiple breaks other bands and solo projects along the years but their farewell tour was a big deal. Any way in my world OSG is bigger, but anyone who makes it big outside our country is a huge star here and gets a lot of attention. Remember it is only five million of us. Satyricon are waaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy bigger than both of them Death metal is norways biggest export Satyricon actually gets great reviews in the mainstream media here as well, and Sigurd Vongraven (front man in Satyricon) actually seems to be just as nice as a person as OGS. Think you mean Black Metal dude . Im pretty sure you are right Never really understood the labels, death, black, im more old school, power and speed metal kind a guy or used to be, now im into everything even blues and country (not the pop country though). But back to topic... Im really getting excited about next season, who ever the next manager is
  7. Preferably something from the Draconian Times album. Hell yeah Recently bought the live album where they played the entire Draconian times album, that brought back memories from my youth.

  9. Its the correct soundtrack when looking for clues about whos going to be the next Villa manager... I like darker music myself, but i hope the times when Paradise lost was appropriate soundtrack is history
  10. I will apologise for my misspelling on page 153, two times in the same post i wrote OSG instead of OGS, im sorry and will try not to do that again. Its hard to post over and over again at the forum at the same time as the kitchen is flooding, the bathroom is on fire, the children are using my gilette mach 3 power to shave the neighbors house goat and being watched by an enormous ice bear and my car rolling downhill by itself while the stereo is pumping out aHas "hunting high and low". Again im sorry... Sincerely Milenko
  11. Signings will always be a risk you never really know if a player will fit. Lot of world class players hasnt made it in the PL and many unknown players have made solid impacts. OGS werent a guareanteed hit at Man. Utd. he had one good season at Molde and before that played for Clausenengen at level three in norway ( this is from memory but it is ca.), Eikrem at least already knows the english game, wasnt ready for Man. Utd. a year and a half ago, but has grown older and stronger and might be ready now. Another part of bringing one of his "own" players is that he then will have a player who already knows how he want to play. Remember Eikrem is still only 22 and is developing. I believe there are better players out there, but here is an non expensive, low wage midfield option and has a good eye for great passes, i think he might actually improve and up his game with better players around him. Other norwegian gems for the future will be Henriksen (19) and Sælnes (17), not ready yet but they both play like they are much older and have lots of games under their belt. Give them three years and they are ready.

  13. Norwegian media has a habit of making even the smallest of things into a circus, not your fault things have been blown out of proportitions. OSG is kind of a national treasure over here and i guess if he were to announce what he was having for breakfast it would also be a small notice in a newspaper somewhere
  14. If we get someone young and who want us to play attractive football we should give them time to build the team. Personally i just want a manager who will play exiting football and makes it fun to watch again, that manager whoever it will be i will give time and support to build the team, after all football is entertainment. When that is said for me in norway it would be nice with OSG because Villa will get a lot of media coverage here, more games will be chosen as the main televised match at 4 (3 o clock over here) o clock saturdays and hopefully all that attention will get a lot of norwegian children wearing Villa shirts.
  15. I will be happy with both, both are young and will bring a more exiting form of football with them where we actually will try to score goals and wind games again. I will support either one but as a norwegian OSG would be nice because of all the media attention Villa would get here and everything that will follow with that, more games shown on the telly and hopefully lots of kids wearing Villa shirts
  16. Im with DeepDish on this one, he is waiting for an offer.
  17. I think as mentioned earlier, Randy and Faulkner will talk to a couple more candidates and then make an offer to the onethey want. We just need to be a bit patient, we will know when there is more to know.
Translates to: "Its up to Aston Villa if it goes further, i have only spoken to them, and i believe they are talking to others. They are after a manager. Should they make contact i would have to consider it, but it will not be a private jet waiting for me. Sometimes in life things accure and you will have to consider if it eventually happens" - OGS Sorry for the bad translation, but it seems he will seriously consider if he is offered the job. The leader for Molde fk also says that he dont know if OSG still will be at Molde at the end of season. OSG has also said today that he has had offers from clubs in the PL, clubs who will be in the Champions league next year and will in his opinion get through to the next stages and he has not considered leaving Molde. But he had to listen to a club as big as Aston Villa... Seems like he would take the job if he is offered to him.
  19. No, it's not, "skjær" is a reference to, quite simply, a rock in the water. So, Solskjær is basically "sunny rock in the water..." Anyway, breaking news in Norway is that the corporate group Aker is to sell their ownership in Molde and pull funding. Aker is controlled by Kjell Inge Røkke (some of you nerds may remember that this is the guy who owned Wimbledon some years ago). If this is true, the chances of Sunny Rock in the Water coming to Villa has just increased substantially. Without the Aker/Røkke money, Molde is fuuuuucked. You are right in the fact that "skjær" on its own translates to rock in the water, however, "solskjær" is on its own a norwegian word translating to sunshine or more acurate ray of sun. Like the sun breaking through the skies... Ha ha, norsk er vanskelig! I think we both may be right, it could be both, actually! Anyway, news about Aker and the municipality seem to indicate that Molde will be in no position to compete going forward. Mange uttrykk som er vanskelig å oversette direkte, begge stemmer nok men lokale talemåter osv. Hadde en sak i går kveld her også Nice with norwegian activity on the forum and hopefully if this goes well a lot of media attention in norway and a lot of new supporters. Maybe i wont be the only one from my small town wearing a Villa beanie, hat, cap
  20. For me as a supporter of Villa and Rosenborg all this is great news

  22. Yeah, I'm thinking Darren Bent too. Definately, Bent has a lot of the same qualities OSG had as a player both being clinical finishers, maybe OSG working with Bents awereness and moving/runs and snap there it is. Same for Gabby, utilising his speed and strength working with his positioning. Getting the best out of Ireland and our attack actually looks pretty damn good. Getting the defence tight again and a good working midfield and we are in business. IMO.
  23. I believe a player like Stephen Ireland might be a revalation under OSG, and finally being played to his strengths...
  24. Solskjær is norwegian for sunshine, its believed he has a clause in his contract that allows him to speak to PL clubs, rumours in norway says that Molde is talking to other candidates to replace OSG. OSG has stated in media before taking on the molde job that Ferguson always answers his calls, they still have a tight relationship. I cant really think of any norwegian players that i will consider ready to qonquer the PL right now, maybe Vadim Demidov, but there are certanly some young gems in the making in the tippeliga who might turn out to be great players, players like Henriksen and Sælnes from Rosenborg who is cementing their place in the starting line up, Henriksen at 19 and Sælnes at only 17, these might be for the future. Molde has some talented players and also players like Valeron Berisha from Viking. Eikrem might be the one most ready for PL having been through the grades at Man Utd. and having had a season at Molde under his belt.
