    Where do you think we can finish this season? I think we will be lucky to get 7th as the teams around us last season look far stronger, possibly 6th if Spurs concentrate on the CL and lose a bit of league form. As the season nears and we make a few signings im sure the outlook could improve. BOF : Fixed poll

    But he HAS to be good this season! didnt he say he is going to have the magical preseason build up with his new teammates. Pile of poop. At the end of the season he should have been the most fit/energetic of our team due to not starting his season til October.

    True, but i just cant see MON doing a Ferguson and bring in a few starlets like Ronaldo, Nani and Hernandez who looked good at the world cup. He is more likely to bring in someone like Parker or Bullard.*shudder*

    If Milner goes ill be gutted. It doesnt exactly show ambition to sell our best player to a top 6 rival club. If he went to Chelsea, Man U or Arsenal i could understand it more but to sell him to man shitty we are more or less saying 5th/6th place will do next season. If this is true its a terrible day for the club. MON wont be able to replace him with a player as good.

    I know you shouldnt judge a player on a world cup performance but he looks to have good skill and a bit of pace going forward, defensively i havent seem him tested though. Get him in MON.

    Thats all good but Randy needs to remember that we will need to see exciting players to fill this redeveloped area. No point having a capacity of 50k if our average is 36k or whatever.

    Get Heskey out and sign Zigic before Birmingham do please MON. Zigic wouldnt be my favourite striker but MON likes the big man up front so he would fit the bill.

    Can you even bear to imagine what kind of season we would have had if Milner wasnt around and we had sidwell in the middle with Petrov all season.

    Sorry to go off topic but did anyone hear Milner on sky say he isnt sure if he will be at Villa next season. You would think the git would just knock the speculation on the head by saying he is staying. Is there no such thing as loyalty in the english game anymore?

    Im really starting to dislike Man Sh1tty.The offer is a joke and the fact it is made public so soon shows they try and bully a club into selling and offer silly wages to get the player interested.The FA should do something to stop this crap becoming public. I remember MON saying he agreed with Milner to leave contract talks til after the world cup, i hope this doesnt come back to bite him in the arse. If he does go itll be for far more than £20m and will show that Randys pockets arent as deep as we thought. Sure, he could do a bit of painting and tiling around Villa Park to keep us all happy lol

    Hi General, I have read that Randy wasnt in attendance at the end of season awards, is there a reason for this or does he not usually attend such functions? This seems to have kickstarted the rumour mill again unfortunately. Thanks for your help in what has to be seen a a good season as a Villa fan. Looking forward to more

    who actually cares who sponsors us? Its extra cash for Randy no matter who it is. Fair enough the shirt has to look decent but id rather wear a crap looking shirt and be happy with the team than the opposite

    I hope the team and MON get good vocal support from the crowd today after the week they have had. We have 2, possibly 3 agents in their team so come on Samuel, Cahill and McCann, stick in an own goal for us EDIT--------------- I forgot about Knight! Soon Bolton will be called Aston Wanderers!

    And if we drop points with anything but the regular side some will be calling MON an idiot for messing with a team who are unbeaten in 2010. He cant win.

    Im expecting a draw but i feel whatever result we get tonight will have a huge bearing on how our season turns out. Liverpool winning last night puts the pressure on so itll be interesting to see how the team copes. Its ok having games in hand but you then have to win those. Id rather we were six points ahead of the others with them having the games in hand. I think MON will start Gabby and Heskey and bring on Carew for the last 20mins.( Big suprise there eh.....)

    I think some of our first teamers will be rested today.I expect to see Friedal, Dunne, Milner and Gabby on the bench. Still cant wait though

    Dowd didnt even book Vidic when he gave away the penalty yet moments later gave Collins a yellow for bringing down Owen who was heading for the corner flag!!!!! Man U were the better team on the day deserved to win and that bugs me as on paper i just dont see how tey hve the extra quality apart from Rooney.

    I can see Burnley getting a draw tomorrow. Would expect a win but expecting things as a villa fan is dangerous. The fact that Owen Coyle has left Burnley makes them weaker than the last time we played so they will probably sit back.
