    Great to see Pau get through a full 90. Duran I thought put in a very steady and mature performance. Only one ripped shirt and the only yellow/red card he was involved in was his opponent's. Oh and not a bad little goal either.

    I'm inclined to agree with this. We had several clear opportunities to score and both Bailey and Watkins seemed uncharacteristically indecisive and lacking in confidence and nothing really clicked for us. Compare us intercepting one of their defensive passes and it fizzled out to nothing. They intercepted one of ours and it was a goal.

    People are being a bit harsh on Tim and Rogers I think. Yeah they struggled a bit in the first half but so did nearly every other player. I think this sort of performance is partly on the players but it's too much of a pattern now to not be heavily influenced by what Emery wants from them. I suspect it might just not be quite translating into the quality of the output.

    They never really looked like bothering us with Marlon Harewood 2.0 up front. It wasn't until Akpom came on that I thought we looked vulnerable. Gave Martinez motm. Can't have been easy dealing with a crowd keen to remind him they haven't forgotten about the world cup
