  1. STruggling a bit from poor passing & poor decision making. It looks very windy though - maybe that will assist us 2nd half. Oh, and is Kevin Friend Dowd's brother in law?
  2. Glamorgan horrified at the imaginary headlines in his imaginary newspaper...
  3. Did Young get a yellow for gobbing off at the ref?
  4. Not only that but he was running past players with the ball at his feet on a string. If this performance can inspire John into a bit of form there is every chance that he could be the wildcard that plays us into 4th spot. But I guess it's up to both MON and John as to whether that happens.
  5. +1 v b'burn. 4 pens out of 6 goals And isn't it lovely to have a reliable penalty taker again?
  6. I thought Carew was one of our better players in the first half without really daring to impose himself. Was unlucky with the offside goal first half and got his reward in the 2nd. Downing showed some real quality with his crossing, while Young was very dangerous but a little erratic. I am starting to worry a little about our defence. Collins is looking a little less sharp than he was earlier in the season and got turned a bit too easily today. Still, it was a pretty emphatic result for a team that couldn't score for toffee 3 weeks ago. And as I said in the match thread: **** YOU MARCH!!!
  7. **** YOU MARCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. Bloody Hell - half time can't come soon enough!
  9. Have you seen Heskey score a header? Errm - yes, a few this season.
  10. Why the **** is every cross going in waist high with Carew and Heskey up front?
  11. This will be a massive test of character IMO - the boys really need to put the disappointment behind them and take their frustrations out on this Reading team. They will be a similar proposition as Palace - backs to the wall with nothing to lose - and MON needs to have the boys breathing firs for this one.
  12. By the look of that medal I'd say he don't like the Glazers either...
  13. No point on dwelling on this. In the end, bar Graham Poll and Nemanja Vidic, Dowd has been universally condemned and ridiculed for his performance and that is far worse than any sanction the FA could impose IMO. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if the next few Villa matches he reff'd weren't a bit lopsided in our favour. In the end though, the more we make noise about this then the more we just look like a small time club that can't accept we were beaten by the better team, regardless of the circumstances. Onwards and upwards.
  14. Interesting too that the Chelsea lose Beletti to suspension for the same offence, yet probably far less clear-cut, yet United keep the services of Vidic.
  15. Thanks for that. Either way it was a crucial incident with Young potentially having a clear shot at goal and it goes up the other end for them to score. Mind you Evra seemed to hack at Young's feet with impunity throughout the game, but I guess Ash is his own worst enemy when it comes to making it hard to know whether he is fouled or just going to ground too easily. Some refs clearly decide that its easier to go with the latter automatically than to actually make a decision.
  16. I thought we might have been in for a shout for a penalty on Ashley Young just prior to Rooney's goal - I thought they might have shown it again at some stage but they were too busy showing the 613 replays of Rooney's header.
  17. Boys showed a lot of bottle tonight but just not quite enough composure. Refereeing was just blatant at times, but I have to say we were a very close second best to Man Utd.
  18. Ah, Australian culture. None better! Fuggen Oath mate! Throw a big prawn on the big barbie!
