  1. Very negative but not surprising, the 4-5-1 did work, we contained them and then put the pressure on them by changing the system to 4-4-2 in the latter stages when we needed to IMO. Great hardworking display by us, fair play to MON and the boys.
  2. Not sure to be honest at this stage, I supose we got the numbers in, but would have liked us to go for an Attacking Midfielder to improve our midfield and get us playing a different way at times, I say average, no real progression on the quality we have/had.
  3. I guess Barry made his feelings known strongly within the club, fair enough I'd rather have players who are committed to our goals and ambitions anyway.
  4. It's better than playing 4-2-2 with Heskey up top, If I had to pick over the two I would pick 4-5-1.
  5. 4-3-3 or 4-5-1 for me and the same players who played against Liverpool too.
  6. When we first signed Heskey I was all for it. I saw him play for Wigan/England and I thought he could add something to our team, but he just doesn't do anything more than head a few balls on and miss sitters, and starts moaning when things don't go his way. He is not good enough to be in the 1st eleven of a team who have genuine aspirations of breaking into the top 4.
  7. MON is the manager, he makes the decisions.
  8. Same old story when we play the 4-4-2 system, it doesn't suit our defence IMO, I hope we change the team and tactics back for Fulham.
  9. I thought we looked good but we seemed to turn off and let go of our pressure. Anyway, I believe we can take positives from this game and move forward, I still don't think 4-4-2 will do any good against Fulham on Sunday I hope he changes it back to 4-5-1 again.
  10. I think we need to change the system again Vienna, we are chasing the game so we will need to be more creative and attacking in this game. I want us to go 4-3-3 like we did in the 07/08 season, as this could work to our favour if MON picks Albrighton instead of Ash.
  11. Andriy Voronin looks like a scouse woman and a good looking one at that.
  12. 4-3-3 would work at home IMO.
  13. Its going to be intriguing to see how the team reacts to the defeat against Wigan, I mean they are getting slated left, right and center at the moment, I hope that gives them the extra impetus to put up a fight and have a go.
  14. I think one, when the window shuts we will hear another fairy tale that the other players weren't available in this window but January will be better etc.
  15. MON should be given some time, I think he has achieved his main objective when he first came to club and that was to secure european football consistantly, and he has done that two seasons in a row, albeit last season should have seen us qualifying for the Champions League but thats gone now and we move on. My biggest worry is his ability in the transfer market, I don't mind him going for young English talent like A.Young, Milner, Delph etc I believe we will gain alot from them but I don't think we should limit ourselves to the British market, I think we should look abroad sometimes just to see whats out there, for instance Spurs signed Berbatov for 10 million plus the same amount Curtis Davies cost us. Some of his signings are questionable such as Shorey, Sidwell and Cuellar etc who have yet to prove their transfer fees. We've also lost two good players in Barry and Laursen and haven't replaced them to date, now we are hearing from MON that "Its going to difficult to replace them" sounds worrying to me at this stage in MON's career, IMO he should have the know how to replace quality players at this stage of his career and he has had a fair amount of time to replace Barry and Laursen. He will need to improve in the transfer market dramatically if we want to progress further than 6th in the future IMO. The other thing that concerns me is his style of football, I think this is all he knows and has played this style at every club he's managed, This style of football won't get us into the top 4 alone, you need variation to be a Champion League team and that means you need a better quality of player, which goes hand in hand with the transfer market in that respect, so I am starting to feel MON is out his depth, I don't think he is going to change his approach to football management and that will be his downfall in the end IMO. I could be wrong and I hope I am, but I just think it will end in disappointment.
  16. That is one way of looking at it, the other would be that it was one of the worst Utd performances I can remember in recent years. United created alot of chances.
