  1. Well your the "smarty pants" so you figure it out!!, I know already. As you appear not to, I'll tell you. He has one of each. Paul Robinson has a goal and two assists playing in goal. Hayden Mullins has scored more goals for West Ham this season, shall we sign him as well? I knew you couldn't resist providing those stats!! , well Fabregas only has two goals this year so i take it you wouldn't want him? And maybe you'd like to provide Reo-coker's stats from last season so that we can see what he can do in a side playing with confidence?.
  2. Tom take a deep breath and read my posts again, where on earth have i said Reo-coker is better than Ronaldo?, i mean for a start they play in totally different roles, it's like comparing Makelele with Lennon, one's defensive and the other is all out attack, Reo-coker is a bit between the middle, and no Ronaldo is 22 and yes his stats are very good indeed but if he's to be included in that "world class" bunch then shouldn't he be doing his tricks and scoring goals against the biggest sides in the league he plays in?, the kid Messi went and scored a hattrick against his teams biggest title challengers and rivals, that's what i mean by top quality, As for Barry, i know that debate must still rile you but as i said take away the goals he scored from ten yards with just the keeper to beat and the stats are very average!!, and the kid who everyone was begging to be dropped (Gabby) has the same stats as him without a single pen!!, but people still wanna put him down and want a new striker like Bellamy to replace him but Barry is "off bounds" to be replaced it seems.
  3. He's got 22 goals and 21 assists for the season, I don't think he can get much better. He stays on his feet a lot of the time now, he's a much more direct runner with the ball and doesn't look to fall over. And comparing him in any way to Reo Coker is laughable. Well the last time Ronaldo and Reo-coker were on the same pitch one of them won their side the match and the other dived around as if he wanted to qualify for the swimming heats in the olympics!!, most of his tricks and goals have come against very poor sides on the premiership and how they ever gave him that goal against Milan is beyond me, they call him the "best in the world" but that's bollocks, he was shown up on his own pitch by Kaka the other day and Ronaldinho has more assists than him and just as many goals too but people seem to forget about that!!, he hasn't got anywhere near the skill level of Ronaldinho!!.
  4. You can't give him all the credit for wins over Man Utd and Arsenal......then say it's his teammates fault for losses to all the relegation battlers. So he didn't score the winner against Manure? Yeah, he must be some player to have scored such an amazing goal from nearly 2 yards out. How many goals and assists does he have this season for a box-to-box midfielder? Well your the "smarty pants" so you figure it out!!,
  5. And how many players shine against Chelsea? , actually everyone's favorite show pony Ronaldo hasn't got an assist or goal against any of the other three clubs below them but i guess that doesn't count!!.
  6. You can't give him all the credit for wins over Man Utd and Arsenal......then say it's his teammates fault for losses to all the relegation battlers. So he didn't score the winner against Manure?
  7. Not at all, why is CyberV always accused of trouble? , i was merely pointing out that you have indeed got a transfer rumour right when everyone was certain he was gonna sign for Schelke!!.
  8. That's why i said... i'd be inclined to question how many times you've actually seen the lad play because against us at Villa park he was one of the best players on the pitch without question, well we've got a very decent fire man in Martin O'Neill if any flames need outing!!.
  9. I'm not saying you won't be right, but you did say the same thing about Micah Richards for the January transfer window! Got a linked quote? here snd here - "The more I think about it the more I am convinced that Richards from Citeh will be joining in January. " Thanks for that, and Oldfart, fabtastic that you obviously keep such a record of the things I posted. By the way the first link says he is gettable , which I believe he was at the time As for the "the more I think about it " quote, then yes he hasn't come. But then there were lots of people who, at the time wanted Richards to come. Some who have even posted other potential signings in this thread. Have either of you pointed out that they were wrong about Richards at the time as well, or is it just me you wanted to single out for treatment? As for being wrong about him signing, aw schucks you win some you lose some. Big deal an all. Didn't actually realise it was such a big offence to express an opinion so that you couldn't make one in the future. I mean I am not the only one who has said they expected players to sign only to be proven wrong after the event now am I John? You mean like when Baros went to Schelke?
  10. Lol no facts about Nigel just pure speculation and rumours!!, it's clear people are judging him more by their personal dislike for the guy than his football ability and it's a shame, and it's the same people who do back flips over Graig Gardner who is around the same age as him but nowhere near his level, he hasn't been that bad this year too, if his team mates are not good enough what's he meant to do?, he still managed to score the goal that beat Manure though!!. and lead the midifield battle that beat Arsenal twice, but oh no "he's shit" .
  11. And what exactly has Nigel done to be labled a "cockhead"?, you've always waxed lyrical about us getting good up and coming british players so why have a go at him?, what's he done wrong apart from play for fans who've apparently racially abused him and sent him death threats?, he was one of the best talents in the league last year and although he's had mixed fortunes this time around it's obvious he's got bags of ability and if he was such a trouble maker he wouldn't be West Ham's captain would he?!!, we've been strongly linked with him and i agree that unless one of the big lot comes in for him again then he may well be heading our way and i'd be delighted as he's a very good player and has every bit as much talent as the three you named.
  12. To be honest i tend to believe it even more when the story orignates from said players country, for example the Alpay transfer was all over the media in Turkey way before it hit the british press, i'm not concerned about the money quote, it's the quote regarding Mon's interest that matters ,
  13. You've gotta love it , Martin's no fool, this guy is quality and i really hope we fight tooth and nail to get this guy here, the promising thing is he's very keen to play in the premiership as his best friend Michael Essien has been bigging up the league to him, i think Muntari and Petrov in the middle of the park would be absolute class, that's a top four center pairing imo when they are on form, if it's between us and Pompy then for me we've got no worries. here's a few vids http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b7hw9pzXIxs
  14. which is why i said.... he's pure pace, he's not in the mold of a Bergkamp who drops deep and creates chances, or even like Keane, he's just like Gabby and what's the point of Gabby missing out to Bellamy?, Gabby does have four assists after all and nine goals.
  15. Bellamy is a much better all-round footballer. His goal/game ratio is actualy pretty decent, but he's struggled with injuries down the years that make it seem worse than it is. He's creative, hard working and he's a double hard barstard to boot. 28 is hardly ancient. Yakubu is a goalscorer yes. Nothing more nothing less. I have a feeling the 'extras' Bellamy brings would lead to more goals for the team than if we had the Yak. Goals win you games though, it's good to have creative players yes but he's hardly a Zola is he?, and you can create all the chances in the world but if you don't stick it in the net it's useless, just ask the Arsenal fans, Now the subject of Muntari, i've already said i've seen the lad play many times both internationally and for his club, i don't give a **** who believes me or not to be honest, all i'm saying is he'd be woth every penny if we signed him and as we've been linked with him recently i have high hopes.
  16. Like i told you before, don't tell me what i have or haven't done because you don't know me, i only hope you actually understand this time.
  17. Both, to be fair. No because he can get away with just scoring goals because that's what he's there for, he couldn't get away with just chasing down defenders and not scoring, at the end of the day we want a striker who can score goals right?, and Yakubu scores goals right?, so i don't know what an earth people are complaining about. Yakubu may score goals but look where boro are, maybe cos he's lazy and doesnt contribute much elsewhere beside goals is why the rest of the team is carrying him. Look at Rooney or Kuyt or even Drogba to an extent, and others, they track back and defend and help their team out. Just a thought, i may be wrong mind, and boro are just pants. You're not making sense, Boro carrying Yakubu?, are you serious?, he's scored SIXTEEN i'll repeat SIXTEEN goals for them how does that constitute them carrying him?, they'd be relegated if it wasn't for him i'm sure, a strikers job is to score goals, Yak does that with ease every season and is on course to beat Shearer's record if he plays the same amount of premiership games as him (according to wiki), people want us to sign the likes of Bellamy who's gonna be 28 soon and is a proven trouble maker who's record is nowhere near Yaks, i find that notion very strange,
  18. Yeah, scoring against Baros and co and dominating for large period's against Italy is crap!!, Sidwell better than Muntari? We'd be very lucky to get Muntari and i hope our link with him is true.
  20. Lol this is ridiculous, you're judging his whole season and the way he plays on the evidence of one game at the ground of the league leaders? , the FACTS say he's scored SIXTEEN goals this season for a poor side, this myth about "work rate" is irrelevant, what's he payed to do exactly?, chase down defenders or SCORE GOALS?.
  21. He's scored 15 goals for average teams like Boro and Pompy already though so i'd assume he'd get near the 20 mark in a decent side, i'm all for giving the youngsters a chance too but judging from Mon's comments after Angel left it seems we're certain to be getting another striker.
  22. So what's he done to be labled a "prick" then? , he's got a habbit of scoring against the top four and has scored 15 goals or more for the last three seasons, he deserves respect imo.
  23. Are you serious Ian? , He could take out a newspaper and chair on the pitch for all i care as long as he scores 15 goals a season which he's done with ease since he came to the premiership, we can't have it both ways, there's flashy players who only get you eight goals a season (like Vassell did) and then there's the one's who don't do nothing but score goals, at the end of the day if his goals were the difference between 14 draws and us gettting the wins to get into europe then i'm sure you wouldn't mind his lazy moments.
  24. The one man i think we should have a look at as far as strikers go is the boy Yakubu, i think he's a sitting duck at Boro and i'm sure he'll want a change this summer, Boro are going nowhere right now and he's only 24 and is a proven 15/20 goal getter, i think he'd cost a lot less than Bent and might be the better value in the long run.
