It is, quite simply, baffling. I was very sceptical but got sent the console to play with and it blew me away. My write-up is here if you're interested in reading more...
  2. There's a new trailer out for this - no gameplay footage but it's a pretty brilliant trailer anyway http://www.thegamingreview.com/2011/10/24/amazing-skyrim-live-action-trailer/
  3. Ingram, I had exactly the same issue on that test. I tried approaching the turret from every angle before working it out. I kicked myself when I worked it out... I think that's the genius of the game. Later problems are so complex, but the solutions are insanely simple.
  4. Steam tells me I was playing for 11 hours by the time I finished. The last few moments are incredible. Never worked out which bit you were talking about P3te...
  5. After the gel bits?
  6. Right, do you mean the MASSIVE round door, in the "do not enter" bit? If so, there's a control room on both sides. Go to the one on the left (as you look at the door) by pinging a few useful portals around. Then put one on the wall of the control room and the other all the way over by the other control room. Hit the button, jump through the portal quickly and hit the other button. Unless that's a different bit, in which case you know all this already.
  7. how far are you? im chronically stuck and cant figure a bit out, and ive got a review due for it tonight Hmm... hard to say, I'm a bit into the escape. I've got past the bit with the conveyor belt production line, but I haven't been on today so can't quite remember the last thing I did! Who're you reviewing it for? I've decided to not rush mine out for tomorrow's embargo and make sure I've seen plenty of it...
  8. I've been playing this on the PS3... I can't say much but it really is something else. Stephen Merchant is fantastic in it...
  9. On the plus side, there's quite a while left in the match to get back into it.
  10. As ever, HQ goals to be downloaded if you fancy them. Bolton, March 2011 Have fun
  11. Maybe the players are just trying to get as many balls to the Villa fans as possible...
  12. That's brilliant how the Villa fans cheered when the ball rolled into the goal from a ballboy...
  13. I wish they'd clear up the "smacking-someone-in-the-face" rule. If not for us, at least for that ref.
  14. A slightly bigger file this time round, but that's what happens when Villa score 4... Any problems, just shout. Link right here
  15. Blimey. Brad having a decent game. Not a tragedy tonight, as others say we've done ok...
  16. Pretty good result, I think most people would've taken that a couple of hours ago. And hey, we actually scored a penalty. The BBC also said in their commentary that Downing had been sensational in the 2nd half...
  17. Blimey. I only listened to the 2nd half on the radio. Sounds like I saved myself some boredom.
  18. Well I bought mine from Woolworths... But either way, the Sale of Goods Act isn't working, as retailers are saying that these faults aren't engineering faults so won't take responsibility. It seems to be a total lottery as to whether you get your money back or not. But, as you said, the fixes on the site are last resorts, but they're last resorts that most people have to fall back on.
  19. Another update (in case anyone is still reading this..!) Last week I added the aforementioned guide to backing up your PS3 stuff. You can find it over at this page here. Coming up in the next few days will be a guide on replacing your BluRay laser in case that fails. It's another one of those things that Sony won't fix for you after 12 months...
  20. So a couple of updates... in the next couple of days I'm adding some new content to the site, a 3 part guide about backing up and restoring which will give good tips. Also, Gilksy (the guy who made the infamous YouTube videos on fixing the YLoD) is now a member on the forum so I'm hoping will be able to help out with people's queries about getting things working again. All good stuff. www.yellowlight.co.uk
