Still confused as to why cutting a stupidly high wage bill of very average players is so commendable.

The wage bill slashing is such a poor excuse, especially when you are talking about so many average players on such ridiculously high wages. This argument also implies that there aren't good players on low wages which is of course ignorant and narrow minded. I dont want Bruce near my club but he is doing a better job at Hull than Lambert at Villa on a lower budget at a newly promoted side. Pulis, a much maligned figure on here, has amassed more points at Palace since taking over than Lambert has during that time frame, one of which was a victory over us and he has also managed to get a cup win. Now he has spent no money and is just working with the players he has in a newly promoted team. Why should Lambert be afforded such grace? I want stability as much as the next person but theres no point if the manager isnt the right one and there are many more factors to suggest Lambert isnt that man than there is.

Bit like when Lambert played with 5 defenders and 3 non attacking midfielders against a West Ham side with no recognised striker whom were also on a poor run.

We are truly awful, I firmly believe that almost anyone could do what Paul Lambert is doing. I don't see why he is afforded such grace other than Randy needs to give him money to succeed. And that's the problem, I'm totally bored of modern football and its Football Manager on cheat mode cycle. The idea of buying value for money players and improving them is a good one and refreshing, unfortunately Lambert cant implement it. We aren't competing for Europe because of Randy, we are sliding down the table playing some of the worst football in my lifetime and seeing some of the most naive and bizarre tactics and subs as it gets because of Lambert. I just want to see good football and if you think you cant have that and pick up points well I'll eat my own arsehole if by playing a better style of football we could not have picked up more than 9 points in the last 12 games.

We pass the ball less than any team in the league bar Palace. We have the least amount of possession in the league bar Palace. We are in woeful form at the moment and are limping to just over 40 points, No goals in the first half at home. Helenius was signed and yet Bowery came on yesterday ahead of him (on the wing too, another example of bizarre tactics and ideas) Often when a manager is changed there is an impetus or honeymoon period, at the moment, in terms of football and results I don't see how it can get much worse if a change didnt work out in that way. Watched first episode of Battlestar last night & I really liked it. So far only two things are letting it down. The use of the word 'frack' it's fracking annoying and the actress who plays the maverick type pilot who was also fracking annoying in 24. I thought last nights was one of the better ones to the point where the whole hour was almost enjoyable. The guy who writes a lot of it said the caravan bit was largely unscripted. Not sure how much I believe that. 5th Gear is by far a better programme with far better drivers who arent annoying unlike that ****ing Hamster twonk.
