  1. from what you are 'all currently listening to' thread Manics - got three of their last 5 singles at No2. Kasabian - last 8 singles all got in the charts, the lowest at no22, the highest at no 8. Kid Rock - last single no1 (2009) Prodigy - last single - no3 (2009) Foo Fighters - always get at least top10 with every song. Kate Bush - last single no4 (2005)
  2. I'm assuming this is more about modern charts... only a few of those would get in the charts now... Chart music now is all Lady GaGa, Beyonce and talentless fuckwits who were on a reality show. I think mine and your definitions of 'chart music' are different ender4. i think you haven't listened to the charts lately. From the list above: Kid Rock - no 1 this year Prodigy - no 3 this year Foo fighters - always get at least top10 with every song. most stuff like this gets high up in the charts. why? because you all listen to it. thats what i've been trying to explain - you say you hate chart music, yet its made up of all the stuff you listen to!
  3. look at the thread about "what you currently listening to"... and its all chart music!!!! last 3 pages is all chart stuff: Foo Fighters Metallica Duran Duran Manics The Strokes David Bowie The Prodigy Bush Kid Rock Doves
  4. :bonk: yet if you look at other music threads on this site, they all talk about chart bands (ie: the current Green Day thread). how is it that everyone thinks chart music is rubbish, yet pretty much everyone who talks about music on this site seems to talk about chart music. they just like to pretend its not chart music??
  5. (just took this out of the other thread). sellyoakvilla - i think you've missed the point. All those bands you mention that you listen to - they are ALL 100% Chart Music.
  6. i think you're confused as to the role of the charts. The charts tells you what everyone is listening to, not telling you what to listen to. Its retrospective, you find whatever music you like & listen to it, the chart neatly tells you what you (in the collective sense) had found to listen to.
  7. yes, of course the singles charts includes downloads.
  8. years gone by? i bet they were in the chart at the time though... so still chartable, and counts as chart music.
  9. The UK Top 40 Music Charts - what do you think? and yes, we are talking about the whole of the top 40, not the top 10. so last weeks chart included a variety such as: Calvin Harris Kings of Leon Miley Cyrus Beyonce Lily Allen Prodigy Just Jack Flo Rida Lady Gaga Pink Britney James Morrison Green Day Franz Ferdinand Girls Aloud Eminem Akon Taylor Swift Enemy

    Tarantino

i wonder how many girls thought True Romance was going to be a girly film before they watched it!! :-)
  11. yes, we'll win one at some point in my lifetime. but it won't be a bug occasion - it'll be against Faroe Islands in the knockout round of trying to qualify for Euro 2020. We'll fail in the group stages, and finish 2nd, so have to play this knockout. we'll win on penalties 2-1 (after 5 pens).

    Tarantino

In my personal order: 1) Pulp Fiction 2) True Romance 3) Reservoir Dogs 4) From Dusk Till Dawn 5) Kill Bill vol1 6) ER episode 7) Natural Born Killers (only the script, hated what Oliver Stone did with the directing) 8 ) Kill Bill vol2 9) Grindhouse/Death Proof 10) Jackie Brown 11) Hostel liked 1-7, didn't like so much 8-11.
  13. yes, that much drink isn't going to help. i thought one or two was ok, but i have no idea really.
  14. on my chair, on my sofa, on my bed, not on the floor. ohhh, in Villa Park. i mainly sit in the Lower Trinity, sometimes in the Upper Trinity, depends where i can get tickets. Have never sat in the Holte or North stands.

  21. house prices rising again - dammit!!!! what happened to the crash? this is the most minor recession ever.
  22. forget Elbows - its all about: head, shoulders, knees & toes!!! ps - i hate this song as well.... but its quite funny, and probably as good as Elbow & Wrists 8)
  23. who & who? listen to some real music people... the indie-rock scene died 15 years ago. 8)
  24. i was just looking at Everton vs Villa (for my own amusement) as they are quite similar clubs: Everton finished above us for the past 4 seasons. Since the PL started, we finished above them 10 times, they finished above us 6 times. They won 2 championships in the 1980's, Villa won 1. We won a European cup, they won a Cup Winners Cup. We've won 7 FA cups, they've won 5. They won 9 league titles, we've won 7. They had their recent 'dark' period in the late 1990's/early 2000's. they were just coming out of it, as we entered our dark period of the mid 2000's. Everton's 2008 season turnover is $151m, Villa's is $150m. Villa have been in the top division for 97 years, only beaten by Everton who have been here for 105 years.
  25. that article must have been written by Jasper Carrott or Lenny Henry. it must obviously be used as part of a comedy sketch, cos its just not serious.
