  1. It's quite simple I'd imagine. You don't believe in God. So you are saying there are no God whatsoever. When in fact, you dont know? That's a ridiculous statement TRL. You arent sure if there is a god. Well done. But the rest of us are sure, and that goes for the religious people and for us athiests. As an Athiest I am saying that without a doubt there is no "god" that created everything in the universe and looks after/punishes every one of us for everything we do. The whole concept is about as believable to me as a man in a red suit travelling to every house in the world (on a reindeer powered sleigh that flies) on the 25th of december and delivering presents. And Religious people are just as certain that there is a god, and that he will look after them and everything bad in the world has a purpose yada yada yada. Why have a go at us because we've made up our mind about something? Edit: Technically, by your rules, every person on the planet should be agnostic. Silly really.
  2. Sloth - one of the 7 deadly sins! you're God will not be pleased! :winkold: Noone follows those sins guidelines or the ten commandments. And yet they follow the rest of the bible fairy stories. Well, that's christians for you. I don't hate christians or anything, My girlfriend is one, but it's all hilarious when you think about it seriously.
  3. How can you be 'pretty athiest'? Surely you're either athiest or you're not. If you're 'pretty athiest', wouldn't than make you agnostic? Fair enough. We'll say athiest.
  4. I used to be agnostic, but i'm pretty athiest these days.
  5. Gabby is the reason i'm not sure if I want a gun striker brought in. Cover, yes, a high level striker (one of the ones we've been linked with) no. My reason is that I think Gabby will be better than all of the strikers we've been linked with. Quick, strong and balanced, knows where the goals are and can finish. He caused havoc for defences when he was finally unleashed up forward near the end of the season. And he will only get better, but he needs to be on the pitch getting gametime to get better. He is also just about perfectly suited to be playing aside John Carew. He can be our 20 goal a season striker. IMO, we will see both Gabby and Carew score 15 next season. I'd take that definitely, 20 goal a season striker or not.
  6. If that happened I would probably have to change my pants. Then change them again not too long later.
  7. Assuming we would sign squad players from then on I meant. If those were our "big signings" I would be satisfied.
  8. Hamburg were in a relegation battle for a time in a poor league. If these three are so brilliant, the 8 supporting them must be awful. Well, it is perfectly possible to find good players in bad teams. How about Darren Bent and Luke Young at Charlton. NRC and Carlos Tevez at West Ham, Gavin McCann and Thomas Sørensen at Sunderland.........erm, forget that last one. And Ashley Young at Watford. If we could get the 3 for 23 mil it would definitely be worth it, and I would be fairly satisfied with this transfer window. I still feel like i'm in fairyland even contemplating it though. Fingers crossed.
  9. They might wanna make a little bit more this summer then! They paid about £3.5mil for him so if we miss out on Sneijder at £11mil we should try for RvdV at about £4mil! How about 15 million for the both of them? Or 17 million. Considering we got Ash for 8 mil + extras, 17 for Sneijder and vdV would be a bargain. Both players are guns and will only get better. Both would add lots to our midfield, and both are quite versatile
  10. De Jong and Sneijder would be two absolutely brilliant signings. Sneijder especially. I live in hope but until I see a press conference with Sneijder holding a Villa shirt and sitting next to MON I still have massive massive doubts. Edit: AND van der Vaart
  11. mate, why are you wearing clobber that you brought 10 years ago? Maybe it's retro like my Brazil away from the same year, only difference is that I was 15 not 11. What can a fully grown adult wear that they could when they were 11? There are a few issues here. One is that I was in the middle of a growth spurt at the time. So I was probably only a few inches shorter than I am now when I bought it (I stopped growing at 5'10" at the age of 14 ) Because of that, I bought a small mens size. Slightly baggy at the time, but considering I was paying Aus$110, my dad insisted I buy something with some growing room. It is the perfect size for me, I wouldn't want it any bigger or smaller. It fits about the same as a medium tshirt would on me now. It's also in very good condition. It's kept it's colour, it's almost completely free of pulls and loose threads, and it's still comfortable. Why would I not wear it? It's this one here. It fits me pretty much how it fits these players. It's fantastic. Image tags arent working for me, so here are links... here and here
  12. So, you're saying only the hummel pants are quality? hehe. I bought the nike made Brazil shirt for the 1998 world cup almost 10 years ago. I was 11, and it was Aus$110. HEAPS for me at the time, but I still wear it now, it is in excellent condition, and it has proved to be an excellent value purchase considering it looks only slightly worn after 9 years. Very, very happy with Nike. In fact, the day after the deal was announced I bought myself some nike air runners to celebrate, and they are awesome too!
  13. Baseketball or Team America: World Police.
  14. I hope your correct because this squad could go places. I would be extremely satisfied with that. Realistic, but still class signings, and that's a squad that would be pushing the top 4, without even worrying about who we will purchase in the future. I really hope you're right there mate.
  15. Just one moron who thinks that, and even the other Wet Spam supporters are disagreeing with him. Hilarious!
  16. Manson is hoping for Sneijder and Van Der Vaart, so he may well be disappointed.
  17. Yes, we would, but we would be fighting almost every big club in Europe. He would be a brilliant addition to any team.
  18. I'd love to have Kewell playing for Villa as an Aussie. He is just far too injury prone considering what we will have to pay for him in transfer fees and wages. He is still a very, very good player though, and would be a massive part of that Liverpool team if he was injured less.
  19. If we got Sneijder for 10 million, it would be the biggest steal in Europe this transfer window. But oh my god it would be brilliant!
  20. I wouldn't pay more than 6 for Bellamy. He is a worse prospect than he was when they spent 6.75 mil on him not too long ago.
  21. I'd take Taylor definitely... but my expectations are pretty high this summer... I have a feeling i'm going to be disappointed, but all this Sneijder and van der Vaart talk has got my head in the clouds.
  22. Yeah he was the difference alright!!, from the penalty spot  In the last nine games imo it was Petrov and Berger who ran the show. Were you watching the same games as me? Not saying Petrov and Berger didn't play well, but without Barry we would have been very close to relegation this season. BOF wasn't talking about goals, he was talking about overall performance.
  23. I agree with some of the sentiment on here. Bent is good, but Luke could be better. Overall, unless we are bringing in an absolute top class signing, I do not want to be keeping young up and comers like Gabby and Luke out of the squad. Same goes for Ashley Young. Unless we bring in a star, he should be playing. We need them playing as much as we can in order to keep them happy and keep their development going.
