  1. This is generally aimed at BOF as he is a Denver man. Both the Giants and Denver find themseleves in the same situation, questionable for a playoff birth with their starting Quarterback's playing poor and costing the team big. The question therfore is who would you take if you had the choice poor plummer? or erratic Eli? The choice is yours.

So the Bears pulled it off and beat the Giants. They sure were impressive,(108 yard field goal return!!!) but i also saw a lot in there that makes me know it would have been a much closer game had we not been so depleted through injuries defensively. Our defense stepped up though, the first half and we pleyed perfect for 28 minutes, especially when you consider the injuries and the personnel we had out there. The key play was on 3rd and 22 i beleive and they pulled off a 26 yard run!!! and then our best cornerback did his hamstring on their touchdown before half time. Those events combined with the field goal return are what swung it for the Bears. They are the best team in the NFC and im hoping we get a shot at them again in the post season, if we get some injured players fit it will be a closer game for sure.

Shame the Giants are missing Osi and Strahan and Arrington, as id immagine the pressure they would bring would see Rex running for his life and throwing picks all over the place again! Should still be a great game even with all the injuries for both teams, who knows maybe the Giants backup backup Linemen will step up!I mean we might have to play someone off the practice squad or one of our DT at end! For those loving Urlacher, watch Pierce step it up sunday! Can rely on this guy, true passion/desire/heart. On a side note im glad that its SNF as Madden and Michaels covering will make it even better, MNF team are a bit lame to be honest.

Sunday Night Football this week sees the 7-1 Bears visit the 6-2 Giants. This has been a massively hyped game for the past few weeks, but has lost some of its gloss in the last week. The Bears losing to Miami and the Giants losing both pro-bowl defensive ends for the coming weeks and our backup at LE, 3time pro bowl line backer La Var Arrington for the season, 3time pro bowl corner Sam Madison has been missing also as well as Plaxico Burress our no 1 receiver. The Bears could be without Urlacher, with a bad toe, it generally depends on how much pain he can stand. They will also miss Berrian their no 1 receiver who has bruised ribs. Essentially this game could decide homefield advantage for the playoffs, and it looks as though it will be done so by two depleted squads. The question then is which team will be the number one seed in the NFC? Will they come from this game or will it be the 6-2 Saints? or perhaps last years Superbowl finalists Seattle?
  5. I understand that he promised the rangers chairman he would return at some stage, which is what the chairman has told the press. If its true hopefully he will come to us and then go back to rangers when he is old and washed up- i.e still good for that league.
  6. I downloaded the fifa demo on my 360 and i have to say i am very impressed, so much so that im considering a purchase. Thing is i can only afford one or the other an not both, so do i stick with trusty pro or take a gamble on the very impressive fifa? This decision would be made easier if they put up a pro demo on xbox live, sensible thing to do, will allow for the many people like me to make a decision based on the demos. Heres hoping they do this anyway.
  7. we will sign sutton in jan.....................oh wait....................
  8. if we sign all these players at once say goodbye to our premiership status. it would take ages for the team to gel and the dressing room would be a right mess. look at west sham since those argentitan flops ahve signed? See the bold text.
  9. He actually started against Fulham at the weekend and to be honest, he does not seem discontent at ebing on the bench most of the time. Chelsea: We want to pay you 40k a week+ to sit on our bench and cover injuries/suspensions ok? Geremi: Where do i sign?!

  11. ....they barely have any strikers. No but they will have Emre, Luque, Solano, Milner, Duff, Martins so still plenty attacking options. We will need to play better than we did against reading nut if we start well and attack them and push them back i can see us getting a good result! Id settle for a draw though.
  12. ....they barely have any strikers. Suppose i forgot owen was injured, they will have emre, luque, martins, solano, milner and duff though so still a wealth of attacking options. We'll need to perform a lot better than vs reading if we are to win but i know were capable of it under o'neill, be happy with a draw though. Depends on how we start the game, if were pushing them back and attacking well early then im sure we can get a result!

  17. This is a hard one to call imo, toon notoriously dont travel well and are poor defensively but have a wealth of attacking options so i think it will be close. Im hoping we have a signing or two soon who wil galvanise us! If we play well i dont see newcastle winning but itll be hard so draw!
  18. The way i see it if we can get a large sum of money for a sponsor to put their name before Villa Park then im cool with that. For Example if we had MBNA as our stadium and shirt sponsonrs then most likely the ground would be known as, The MBNA Villa Park. For me this wouldnt be a problem as it would still be known by the fans as Villa Park but more importantly it will still be referred to as JUST Villa Park by the media also IMO. Combine that with a hefty amount of sponsorship money and a shirt sponsorship also then i think its a win win situation.

  21. Sorry if it has been posted already, From Teamtalk: American billionaire Lerner had his bid to take over the club accepted, with shareholders recommended to accept the bid from the Cleveland Browns owner which values the club at £62.6million. Padfield, a deputy high court judge, heads the AV06 group who are putting together another bid. A source close to the group said: "It's likely the consortium will be joining forces with others - watch this space." Other consortia linked with AV06 include local businessman Michael Neville and a group of foreign investors represented by Athole Still, agent of former England coach Sven-Goran Eriksson. A formal offer could be made next week and it is believed Padfield's group would guarantee an instant transfer kitty of £30million to new boss Martin O'Neill during the August transfer window. Im getting fed up of both AV06 and the media when it is said they have 30mil to give O'Neill now! How do they propose to do this when there is under two weeks till the transfer deadline?! Magic? maybe the judge will change the laws of the game or something?? Bollocks its complete and utter shite, something the AV06 consotrium are becoming renowned for. I wish they would shut up and stop embarrasing themselves for the joke that they are, nothing they say makes sense! Roll on 5pm wednesday when im sure AV06 will still be trying to claim their gonna bid! I bet you they are Steeler/Ravens/Bengals fans (all browns rivals)!!!
  22. I think thats right, he would be the majority shareholder and he will negociate with the shareholders in order to buy their shares if he doesnt reach the 75% by the deadline right?
  23. Im guessing that the 10 day deadline remains, however rothschild are pissed with av06 due to them breaking the LSE rules and generally sucking ass and so potentially could discount them from the bidding process due to their rule breaking. I think that there will have been discussions between av06 and rothschild which will have gone along the lines of ROTHSCHILD: "You broke the rules!!!" judge: " I know im sorry, honest mistake! we are great tho i mean you wouldnt think id lie to you, im a judge?!" ROTHSCHILD: "If you claim to be so good answer this: why no bid yet? why walk away if lerner puts 30mil in for transfers? why not sign confidentiallity agreement to look at books? why havent you attempted to perform due dilligance? why have you constantly gone to the press about your bid? why say youd go elsewhere if you didnt get villa? why not reveal your backers? why have you even bothered????? judge: "..................." ROTHSCHILD: "Basically you have nothing going for you so in the best interests of Aston Villa you have until close of business thursday to show us something, if it looks like it will be a competitive bid to Lerner (which it wont!) then well look further into it if not(which it will) then please shut up and lave quietly, after all you have borken LSE rules, so tell me judge can you or can you not face legal action for that?" judge: "....................." the 21 days is the time for shareholders to return there forms accepting the bid or not. If no one accepts the offer(hypothetically), then Lerner will be majority shareholder with just under the 60% that ellis and petchy have agreed to sell to him. From there however he could negotiate the sales of the remaining shares i believe(correct me if im wrong this is what i presume)once he reaches about 80-90% ant he basically enforce the sale of the remaining shares by delisting the company???
