If we're that bad that we go out of the Europa League and Carling Cup it's for the best as we're clearly needing to focus on the League. The League Cup is realistically our best hope of picking up a trophy. If we go out tonight that's another potless season in all probability.

Just finished Slaughterhouse 5. Very good, if concise, novel. Now reading Voodoo Histories by David Aaronovitch. Totally debunks all the popular conspiracy thoeries of the last century. A great read.

Why should we worry about pissing off the FFF or not? Maybe our new manager doesn't want his new club to piss off his home federation by making demands that agreements be broken. GH obviously wants to leave on good terms as its his home federation.

Why would Houlier want to piss off his home federation for the sake of a few weeks? Why would Villa want to piss off the FFF for the sake of two or three games by pushing the issue? It makes sense for all parties to allow him to tie up his commitments. It enhances our reputation in European football as a club that does things the right way. Houllier leaves his home federation on good terms. He will be at the Bolton game and in charge for Blackburn. I see no big deal here. He is here for three years at the very least. Knickers in a twist over very little.

Why? Anyway when is he coming then as I have been out all afternoon and just heard something on the radio about worst case scenario being three months? What is that about? Ignore it. They are talking shite to stir it up. To explain why he won't be here for Stoke GH said he had FFF business to tie up, and that in France it is usual to work 3 months notice but he hopes to be here no later than the Bolton game. Talksport have interpreted this as "OMG he might not be here for three months. What do you think? Ring this premium rate number to have a retarded rant on our moronic station."

You don't have to be positive. But posting lies about what GH said in his press conference isn't helpful to the debate. lol When the video is up I'll let you apologize in your own time. After the question is asked the first word out if his mouth is 'non' which I assume is French for no. If he said that we'll definitely not be buying any players in January then of course I will apologise. That's not what I heard him say though.

It's interesting how people can come to these kind of conclusions from a few innocuous sentences uttered by Houllier today.There are a few more posts above with other fantasy interpretations of what was said. Makes it understandable why there are so many conspiracy theories in the world today.
